KKS Challenge #6 AND a new Puppy !

Kraftin' Kimmie stamps is challenging us this week to use lotsa circles! My original idea sorta didn't come together as planned and so back to the drawing board I went and this one fell right into my lap. It's kinda simple compared to my usual bling it up and embellish it out but I like it! I really do :) I'm happy with how this one turned out. I went with a double circular frame, circle patterned paper and added some double circle hoops on the side. Hop on over to Kimmie's blog if you want to play along, too! I was inspired partly by ............. BUDDY!

Gimme a kiss! Just one kiss! You know you wanna! ;)

Poor thing is 4" high and fell into a hole in our front yard that dh was SURE he'd filled in last year - rofl! He's actually lovin' it now and runs straight for it during "playtime outside!"

Most of you know, we have a brand new puppy! We brought home an 8 week old Jack Russell from a place we found in Citra, Florida -- most wonderful lady, Miss Jodi -- It was a 6 hour drive - ONE WAY! We definitely tell him we traveled to the moon and back to find him, not that he reallllly understands, lol. We are sooo in love! He's a bundle of joy. He's very snuggly - loves to cuddle and already and is doing so much better than I thought w/ training (potty training anyway! Leash training .... eh .... not so much!) He's super cute, and super fun - not the burst of 100% energy everyone said he'd be but maybe he's young still ::: crossing fingers! :::: He brings such a wonderful spot of happiness to our family already ..... I think it was a perfect match :) We let our 5 year old son pick his name and he said he's always wanted a boy buddy, so that was it :) (I secretly hoped for Max, but it wasn't up to me, tee hee!) And doesn't he look like Daisy in a round about way - even with the little spot, too! TFL!

  1. What a cute card Kelly! I love that you used the negative of a die cut. I always think I need to use them more. I love Buddy! I think a Jack Russell would be an awesome breed to have. I grew up with a lab. We actually had several dogs over the years of my growing up, but the lab really held my heart as she was the BEST dog ever! I just think I wouldn't want to deal with the hair or lg size so a jack or a french bulldog would be awesome...maybe even a boxer, but they do get pretty big. So keep us up to date how Buddy is doing and lots of pix so I can dream that I have a cute puppy! LOL The only thing bad about living in a rental.

  10. Hehehe! How can you not get the warm fuzzies when seeing either one of these. The card or the puppy. Take your pick, because they're both adorable. I can't believe you found and image that looks exactly like him!! I love the way you rounded the corners of your card and matt, and you colored this up beautifully! Your Buddy pup is so stinkin' cute! What a wonderful and entertaining addition to your family! I know you are all enjoying the love and laughter that only an adorable little guy like that could bring!! Have fun, and yes, yes! Lotsa pictures!!

    Love,
    Lorie

  11. I know I'm really late with this comment, but I only just found this card. You did a fabulous job with Daisy and actually your Buddy looks more like Daisy on the card than our real live Daisy. Buddy is just gorgeous, I'd love to get my hands on him, I just hope he doesn't wind up quite as crazy as Daisy, though we still love her. Kraftin' Kimmie's Mom
