Mondays with The Project Bin ~ The future ...

Good morning, friends ♥

"The future belongs to those
who believe in the beauty of their dreams"
~ Eleanor Roosevelt

My continued prayers go out to those in
and affected by Hurricane Harvey in Texas.
My heart goes out to you all and the families
that experiencing the devastating flooding ~
stay strong, hold fast, keep the faith ♥

Mondays are my posting day with The Project Bin.
I chose this stamp set to work with to make this travel card.
It's called Wise Women and this stamp is so versatile -
traveling, new job, graduation, etc!
Your dreams are truly what you strive for ....
aim high and work hard and strive for your dreams!

Here's the stamp set in it's entirety:

You can find it in the shop,
and see it in the Pinterest Gallery for inspiration, too!

Have a great Monday!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

Because ............ Friday :)

It's Fri-YAY!
Oh my goodness, what a week!
We survived the first week back to school :)
I'm ready to sit back and prop my feet up.
(My sweet, sweet husband is actually cooking dinner tonight,
so I might just get the chance to even stamp and color!! ♥)

Today's card is one I made for a challenge ~
I missed the deadline but thought it still came out cute!
And is pretty much sums my thoughts at the moment :/

 Happy Weekend!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

CCEE1734 ~ Watercolors

Hi there, friends!

Has anyone seen a giraffe around?
It's been such a loooooooong week!
School started this week and I am back on the road,
driving to and fro and fro and to ~ whew!

So I'm back to crafting on the road - LOL!
I take a little container with me filled with stamped images,
and even brought the mini MISTI along to stamp in the car pool lane - ha!
Crafters gotta do what crafters gotta do =)

This week, I have a two-fer card.
For the CCEE Stampers challenge #1734, Anne is our hostess
and she gave us a theme this week of:  Watercoloring!
Now I LOVE that!

AND, for the August Crafters of Faith theme, our sweet hostess Lynn
gave us this theme and scripture to make a card:

August ~ Every good and perfect gift is from above,
coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights,
who does not change like shifting shadows ~ James 1:17 This month
let's celebrate life's simple pleasures which bless our days
with joy and beauty and meaning.

So I combined the two .... simple pleasures + watercoloring ♥
My card is super CAS,
and might look familiar,
because it's from the same Sweet Escapes set from Paper Smooches
as you saw last week, different stamp, different technique :)
I used my Kuretake watercolors to create this card,
3d foam to pop up the clouds and focal image.

I'll enter this to the Paper Smooches Anything Goes challenge!
They also have a blog hop going on right now -
you can see the DT inspiration and fun cards here!
Whoop whoop!

You can see what all the DT members made
with the watercolor theme here on the blog :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Pumpkins, please!

Hello friends!

I'm back from our glorious vacation!
We enjoyed the wonderful resort life
with pools and a lazy river right outside our room ♥
And side trips to Disney World and Islands of Aventure/Universal,
dinners out and so much more ♥
You know they say coming back from vacation ...
you need a vacation ~ hee hee!

We haven't been able to sit still for more than a few hours ~
and yet have to already dash off ..
today is also the first day of school!

So.  not.  ready :(

Mondays are also The Project Bin day on my blog ♥
The Project Bin has 2 new gorgeous stamp sets just added to the store!
One of them is this very set on my cards today:  New Leaf.
It is positively GORGEOUS and
perfect for those fall theme cards.

Here is a quick set of CAS cards I created:

 For this set of cards,
I used my Spellbinder Nestabilities to cut the circular pattern first,
Then I stamped around the cut out using sentiments from New Leaf
and the pumpkin in varied inks, like Clearly Kelly and Ranger Distress Oxide Ink.
I fussy cut the pumpkin,
then added it to the patterned paper background using 3d foam.
The dsp is from PTI and it's from their Fall Leaf Prints collection.

I always complete the inside of my cards, too,
but ran short of time so we'll have to imagine the inside being just as fun! :)

Here's a look at the stamp set, New Leaf,
and it's available in the shop!

It's still in the high 90's here,
I'm hoping it feels like a beautiful autumn starting wherever you are!

Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

CCEE1733 ~ Nautical

Hi friends!

The theme this week at the CCEE Stampers challenge #1733
is nautical!
That's a theme I absolutely love ♥
You may recall from this card and this card and this one
See?  :)

For today, I went in a different nautical direction!
I recently bought the Paper Smooches Sweet Escapes stamp and die set
and have been using it for a few cards.
This one is SUPER clean and simple,
but it works for what I needed it for :)

Using the matching die, I cut out the shape for the stamped/colored image
underneath to peek through and filled it with aqua/silver sequins.
It is a shaker card - just not enough to make it shake, shake, shake!
What a nauti(cal) card!

Please stop by the CCEE Stampers inspiration blog
to see what the Design Team members created this week!
If you create a card and add it to a gallery,
please use the keyword CCEE1733 so we can find you.

I"ll enter this into:  Paper Smooches challenge:  AG!

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

DDD: You're a great catch!

Good Morning, friends!

It's official - we're on holiday! :)
Before school starts up again, we are on vacation ♥
Since we will be gone all week,
I'm hoping all of my blog posts will launch as scheduled ~
if not, I guess I'll find out about it when we're home again.

Today is the day the DDD post the cards we made from the kit we received.
Carol for the Divas and Shelly for the Dazzlers came up with a great theme:

You're a great catch!

This theme couldn't be more perfect!
My husband and son just spent some time fishing.
Little man reeled in one after another after another!
He does abide by 'catch and release' so mommy didn't get any
fish for dinner ;)

Onto my card!
The hostess for the Divas is Carol this month.
Her kit was super fun and filled with wonderful fishing images,
papers and embellishments.
I could make fishing cards for days - thank you, Carol!

I have a simple card to show for what I came up with ↓
The designer paper with the fish really spoke to me,
so that's the one I used as a focal point.
And look at the fishing bobber ~ it's like a gem dot!

On the inside of the card,
I left it blank and added a fish from the kit, colored and cut and glued in place.

Be sure to see what the other Divas made with this identical kit,
and what the Dazzlers made with the card kits they received.
I imagine it will be a 'great catch'!
You can find them in my sidebar →

Thanks for stopping by today!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

Go Wild!

 Hi friends!

Normally I would post my Monday card with The Project Bin
but I will be showing you that later in the week :)

Saturday was World Elephant Day ♥
l love elephants so very much.
They are so majestic and graceful and
I'm so glad we share our planet with them.

I thought it would be fun to make a card using that as inspiration.
For today's card, I finally inked up a fun stamp set
that was gifted to me by my daughter back in May!

It was part of my Mother's Day gift,
as my daughter knew I was loving the Jeep in the stamp set most of all :)
It's from Gerda Steiner Designs and it's called Go Wild.

Wishing you all a wonderful start to your week!
Hopefully you can GO WILD! :)

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

CCEE1732 ~ Insects

Hi friends!

Today's post might really bug you ~ hee hee!
The CCEE Stampers are back this week with Anne's challenge:  Insects!

Bugs tend to make me shudder a little bit
so I went with a cuter one: Butterflies!

I used designer paper with butterflies,
die cuts made from cardstock and provocraft dies,
and butterfly word paper.

On the inside of my card,
I used a sentiment from Sweet N Sassy stamps,
as well as some quick butterfly stamping with some older acrylic stamps.

Be sure to use the codeword CCEE1732 is you post a card in a gallery ~
we'd love to see what you create with the theme!

You can see what the CCEE Stampers created on the inspiration blog here ♥

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

3M: You're a rare bird!

Hello there, friends!

What do you get if a chicken lays an egg on top of a barn?
..... an eggroll!  :)
My son loves to tell me jokes all day long ~ how fitting for today's card!

Today I scrambled - haha - get it?!
to get this chicken card photographed
and on the blog since it's the 9th.
3M was created by Jeanette and includes her, Barb and myself,
and we take turns sending out an image of choice.
This month's image was sent by Barb.

The image is from Whipper Snapper Stamps,
and it's called Spreading the News.
I colored it with prismacolor markers
and all the cardstock and dsp is from my scrap bin pile.

The sentiment inside is one from my stamp stash ~
I thought it was quite fitting :)

I'll be back in a few hours with another card ... stay tuned!
If we're lucky,
I'll have a few more jokes, too - ROFL!!!

You can see Barb's card here and Jeanette's card here.
That's us, and this is me ↓

Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥
