Decaf is for wimps! :)

"Decaf is for wimps!"

I take mine leaded :)
And preferably wrapped in a Starbucks cup!
AND, with as much running around as I've done this week,
I'd prefer it in this size pot!

I'm happy to share that I'm going to be sharing something NEW
on my blog - starting in April!
I have been thinking/planning it over for awhile ♥
You know what they say, there's no time like the present!
I'm really excited ~  so grab your favorite cup + stay tuned!

These Art Impressions folks have got to be some of
the funniest stamp sets I own.
And the sentiments that AI comes up with to match ...
Seriously - I can't even - LOL!!!

Today's card is another one I made for the Spring Coffee Lover's Blog hop.
It's a fun time for big coffee fans
... such as m'self ...
to go through the stamp stash and use all our coffee themed stamps!

I will be catching up on blog visits by/on the weekend.
I'm restructuring my blog and getting it back on track,
as some of mah friends are missing!
I edited it, and then it wouldn't let me edit back,
but I'm sure I've figured it out ... and just in time for April!

Cheers!

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

~Kelly
I'll enter this as my 2nd card to the 2017 Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

Set Sail!

 Good Morning, friends ♥

Monday's are fun days on my blog!
It's the day that Kelly² are both on The Project Bin stamps blog ...
yes, that's TWO Kelly's - we're double the fun!

Today, I will don my sailor's hat and set sail :)
My card is showcasing Anchor's Away

I fell head over heals in love with a card on SCS ~
you can see that card here!
The challenge last week on SCS was to CASE a card in our gallery
that we've favorited and I immediately thought of hers.

This is my take on it ~
keeping the nautical theme, stripes, design, use of colors.
I did add some jute twine behind my image
(kinda a signature of mine, I think!)
and switched up the sequins for dots and added gold cardstock for flair.
I tried to incorporate at least one of the sailboat's colors in the sailor hat :)
I propped up the hat on 3D foam to give it a little more dimension.

Love, LOVE this Anchor's Away stamp set so much!

Here it is from the store front:

I know it's Monday.
the weekend is over and it's back to school, work, freeways ...
But take a little time for yourself if you can.
Close your eyes ...
 picture the vast, blue ocean,
the white-capped waves and breath in the warm, salty air ...
where will your sailing take you?
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

Relax, unwind!

Hi friends!

I hope your Sunday is going well ~
our day is filled to the brim but in wonderful ways ♥

I have another card to share with you as a Guest Designer for March
over at Dare2bArtzy.
It's my final card and it's been a fun spot!
  Thank you Dare2BArtzy!
Today’s card is using the stamp set Flip Flops  ~
summer is going to be here sooner than you think,
unless you live in South Florida like me and then it's always summer :)

This card has a lot of layers –
perfect for the challenge this month: Lots of Layers.
First up, I inked the fun lemonade stamp, colored it with copic markers and blended it to give it a little ‘watery’ vibe.
There is an awesome matching die set to this stamp set – you can see that here.
I’ve fussy cut mine and added 3d foam dots to pop it up from the card.
Lastly, the sentiment is a wonderful reminder
for all of us to take some time to unwind ♥

Thanks for your visit today!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

I need a Starbucks THIS size ..... ♥

Good Morning!

Where can I get a Starbucks cup THIS size?
If you find one, please let me know!

Recently, Whipper Snapper Designs had a 3 day spring sale/discount
and I have had a few 'wish list' items for awhile :)
And my birthday is coming up in a couple of days
so it was the perfect time for my husband me to do a little shopping!
He was quite happy to hear he did so well chosing ...

Me:  "Honey!  Thank you for the Whipper Snapper stamps!"

Him:  "What?"

Me:  "You bought me stamps!  For my birthday!  Thanks bunches!"

Him:  "Oh  ... I did?  .... okay. You're welcome."

See?  We're good that way!
LOL!

Since the Coffee Lover's Spring Hop is upon us *swoon!*,
I had to ink up Colby's Caffeine and play along!

Coffee.  Stamps.  Coloring.
What could be better!

 Here's the inside:

I'll enter this into the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop, card #1!

Thanks for stopping by!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

Hopping down the bunny trail! ♥

Hi Peeps!

I'm hopping!  Literally!
This has been a week brimming with activities for both me and the kids ~
filled to tippy top brim of busy fun ♥
Truthfully, if I stopped hopping,
I probably wouldn't know what to do with myself :)

I recently found a new stamp company Stamp Annie-thing
and was thrilled they were right here in South Florida with me - YAY!
I fell instantly in love and placed an order right away -
including a cute little Easter bunny set ...
swoon ♥

I created this CAS card
(I know, right?  Kelly - no layers? buttons? gasp!)
and just love it!
He's super cute, standing there with his painted egg
and basket, ready for Easter!
I can't wait to ink this set up again ~
it makes me smile just that much ♥

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

Someone I love ....

Good Morning, friends!
It's Monday - hard to believe as the weekend just flew by for us.
I think I blinked on Friday and then it was Sunday :)
Now here we are,  looking at another week ahead that is bursting at the seams!

But Monday's are fun as it's the day I post
on the inspiration blog over at The Project Bin.
That's what I love so much about the stamp sets at TPB -
birthday cards are easy to create and cater when needed for a special occasion.

Today's card is using Born Yesterday

I know many of my cards are very biright and bold,
as bursts of color just spell cheerful to me :)
However, one of my goals this year was to use as MANY papers
in the 6 x 6 paper stacks that I have accumlated.

I have sooooo many with loose papers or pieces left,
so I create a lot of cards, like this one,
using the smaller pieces that are already on my desk or the 'use me!" bin :)

Thanks for stopping by today!
Big hugs, bigger blessings!

D2BA: Kick back .... and relax!

 Hi friends!

Since I live in South Florida, I practically live in flip flops!
(the other half of the time, I'm probably barefoot - LOL!)

I'm thrilled to be on the blog today as a guest designer for Dare2BArtzy
for the month of March.
Last week, I shared an arctic penguin fun card
Today, we'll head into the sunshine for some sun
and sand in our flip flops with this card!
The beautiful stamp set that is featured on today's card
is called exactly that ~ Flip Flops!
 Too fun!

For today's card, I used my D2BA Totally Black premium die ink
and stamped out the sentiment in the Flip Flops #16218 stamp set
onto heavy weight white cardstock using the MISTI.
These inks stamp crisp and perfectly every.  single.  time!
I then stamped the adirondack chair onto textured paper ~
and I didn't continually restamp it with the MISTI
in order to give it a wooden, weather look.
(please note: My deck chair here in this card is stamped with
SU! chocolate chip ink!)
Next, I ran that through my cuttlebug with a sloped, stitched die,
added some twine and buttons and brightly colored paper
to complete the beachy look.

The inside carries over the same theme as the front
with the flip flops and another sentiment in the set.
This stamp set is truly wonderful ~
and one you can use over and over again for a variety of cards!
I'm already working on more cards with this set :)

Here's a look at the Flip Flops stamps set and dies:

I hope today you can kick back ... and relax!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy March 17th!

Being Irish, named Kelly, AND getting a GREEN Starbucks cup
 in the drive-through today,
all is right in my world! ♥

Another fun thing I got to do today
is finally get my sweet bird image colored and create a card!
This cutie is from the Progressive Image challenge at
How it works is if you play along in the challenge,
the next month's image is sent to you at no cost ~ everyone wins!

While I've been buying digital stamps from Faith for a couple of years,
I especially wanted to get back to playing the progressive challenge
to support Faith, owner and illustrator of these adorable digis.
She's currently undergoing chemotherapy as she battles cancer,
and her strength is admirable and courageous ♥

I chose today to post my card because it's St. Patrick's Day!
Lucky little birdie is colored with prismacolor markers AND copics ~
I snuck in a little hybrid coloring.
A few enamel dots and the accopmanying sentiment,
some paper from my bin and this St. Patrick's Day card was done.
I hope today was a good one for you, too!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

DDD: "Would You Like to Ride in My Beautiful Balloon?"

Hi friends!
Quick post today as I have quite a bit going on at the same time!

It's the 15th of the month
and that means it's the day the Dueling Darlings post our cards
from the hostesses with a chosen theme!
For March, Laurajean and Darlene have a fun theme!

Our theme for March 2017 is "Would You Like to Ride in My Beautiful Balloon?"

Today's card is made from a card kit sent to me from LJ
and she included these darling papers, embellishments and the hot air balloons,
some already die cut, ready for use!

Here's the card I made with LJ's kit:

I'll be back in a bit to link up the blogs to the Divas and Dazzlers
playing along in this month's challenge :)

Thank you, Laurajean, for your fabulous card kit ~
I loved creating this card ...
and wonderful theme, LJ and Darlene!

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

Mondays with The Project Bin ~ Jukebox!

Happy Monday, friends!
Thank you so much for the sweet words on yesterday's GDT card ♥
I'm super giddy and know this month will be tons of fun!!

Speaking of fun, as you know
Monday is fun-day on my blog AND
it's Kelly² Monday over at The Project Bin blog :)

Today is even fun-ner because there is a new stamp/die set ...
Introducing Jukebox Birthday!
I love, love, LOOOOOOVE jukeboxes!
Whenever we are lucky to visit a place that still has one,
I get so nostalgic and put in my change just to hear one of my 'oldies' tunes ♥

This set is a lot of fun as it's interchangeable,
allowing you to use the jukebox, sentiments and decorations
in a variety of different ways.

For today's card, I put the jukebox stamp in my MISTI and stamped it out.
This stamp set is very inter-changable,
with 7 different name titles, like Pops, Mom, Girlfriend, and even "limited edition!"
I chose to use the Happy Birthday banner and 'Dude'.

I used the matching die and ran it through my Cuttlebug.
These dies!
For.  real.  though!
They cut crisp and clean the first time through √

The inside is stamped with You Rock,
another sentiment in the Jukebox Birthday stamp set.

This set is just too fun!

 Stay "tuned"....
I'll be making a lot of cards with this fun stamp/die set ;)
If you want to see this one and many of the other stamps/dies,
you can find them here in The Project Bin's store.

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

*Exciting news!* I'm a Guest Designer!

Hi everyone!

I'm super excited to finally share this wonderful bit of news ~
I'm absolutely delighted to have been asked
to Guest Designer for Dare2B Artsy stamps for the month of March :)
For the next couple of weeks, I'll be showcasing several stamp sets
on various cards and styles ~ like this one today!

I know most of you had a little bit of warmer weather -
and now this weekend a little more snow!
Even in March, there is snow much fun to be had ♥

One of the stamp sets I chose to work with is Penguin Fun!
For my playful arctic penguin scene,
I stamped out 2 of the penguins, the sled, and the christmas tree.
The images are stamped in Dare2BArtsy's Premium black ink ...
so crisp and clean!
I use prismacolor markers - which are alcohol based -
and look at how wonderful it colored and blended!

While I hand cut these images for today's card,
this Penguin Fun stamp set does have a matching die set, too.
I added a few layers of dsp for snow banks and background,
a few enamel dots and propped up the penguins with 3d foam tape.

Here is my arctic Penguin Fun card:

For the inside of my card,
I left the image uncolored and added another sentiment from the set.
A few more enamel dots
and this penguin's winter fun card is finished :)

To find this stamp set, dies, stamps, inks, and more
please visit Dare 2 B Artsy's store,
as well as the inspiration blog
to see all the super cute cards and ideas

Here's a quick peek at them

Books are the best !!

Good Morning, friends!

Growing up in a military family,
and moving around so much,
books, and my year-older-than-me brother,
quickly became my best friends :)
As soon as we'd move to a new military base,
I would hop on my little bike and find my way to the library!

Flash forward 40 years, and I still love books!
I love to rummage through bookstores, old bookseller shops
and visit the library at least 2 times in the week ♥

I found a new stamp company recently called Stamp Anniething
and love, love, LOVE their stamps ♥
I literally squealed when my envelope arrived!

For this round of the 3 Musketeers stamping group,
I chose to work with this cutie because ......
wait for it ......

Her name is Kelly - book!
How. perfect. is. that!!!

I colored her with my prismacolor markers,
and found a book related sentiment that I had in my stamp drawer ..
I thought it went together nicely!
A few enamel dots and bright papers and
this card came together effortlessly thanks to cutie Kelly :)

This is also my 9th card in The 30 Day Coloring Challenge.
And what does a friend do when she finds a stamp company she loves?
She stamps with friends, of course!
Both Barb and Jeanette have created equally adorable cards -
and even bought some stamps, too!
And the best part is they are right here in South Florida with me!

And here we are ...#3Mstrong

I hope today you find a chance to do whatever makes you happy,
be it reading, coloring, sharing happiness!

Big hugs, bigger blessings!
~Kelly
