Inktegrity's Spring Hop!

I have two posts for you today!  For the Sugar Creek Hollow post, please see the previous post & and enjoy!

Welcome to Inktegrity's Spring Hop!

You probably just visited Sheri's amazingly wonderful blog!  Sheri is also the beginning of this fabulous Spring Hop for Inktegrity, but you can find the entire hop list below if you are just joining or get lost along the way :) Today's hop is a celebration of the awesome Design Team and all of you who create with Inktegrity!

All of these images that you see on our blogs were created by request of each member.

Here's the really fun part!  Along the hop, there is a letter for you to collect - no need to unscramble as it is spelled out for you.  Simply email the phrase to jonjinko@hotmail.com with the phrase in the subject line and she will email the freebie image to you. In addition, be sure to leave a comment on the Inktegrity blog (the last on this hop) so that you are eligible to win your choice of 5 of these images!!!

And since I live in Sunny South Florida, sooo close to the ocean & thought about my makin' sandcastles in the sand blog ......  I'm excited to share with you Miami, the seahorse!  How glorious is he!

Miami is the new Seahorse image and  I paired him with some underwater colored papers I had left over from my Donna Downey class - da bomb fun!!  That's actually where I learned to make these incredible flower stems :)  They are strips of cardstock, dampened and then twisted into shape & dried with the embossing tool.   Supah fun!  Of course, mine look absolutely nothing like hers, rofl, but the fun was in the tryin'!  I added some printed prima flowers (my fave, the bottom one has the word "angel" on it!), green grass embroidery floss and oceanic colored buttons - some small pearls for water bubbles so Miami would feel right at home in this under the sea floral creation ;)

It's truly been an inspiring and uplifting experience to design for Joni at Inktegrity - one very, very sweet & truly talented artists!  It has been a priviledge to work with these digi images and this one made just for me truly means the world to me ~ I hope he swims right into your heart as well!  He is available today in the Inktegrity shop!   And did I mention Miami comes with his own sentiments?  Swim on over and take a peek!

For this hop, my letter for you is .........

From here, make sure to hop on over to the uber talented Tracy and you will be truly awed by the beauty of her work!  Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to email Joni with your answer and leave a comment at the Inktegrity blog!

It's the Freshed Brewed Designs Release & blog hop !

Welcome!  I'm so glad you stopped by today ~ Fresh Brewed Designs brings you the new Hannah Belle digi stamps and introduces Tommy!  What wonderful, fun and simply sweet images and at this stop on the hop, I bring you 3 of those to see.   First, you should have arrived here from the amazing Carolyn's blog:    If you are just finding me and need to start at the beginning, click here!   *note!*  On the hop, a special word has been given to each of us and you need to collect all the words at each stop, leave a comment and then email your word collection to Heather!  Easy peasy!  Have fun!

First up:  Blast off!  It's Astronaut Tommy!   My 5 y/o son aspires to be an astronaut and has been saying that for about a year now - so this image drew me in right away.  What a terrific image for a boy - birthday, saying hello, zooming by to tell him he is out of this world!  I paired it with some Cosmo Cricket outer space DSP, added some star punches & stickles.

Next, it's artist Hannah Belle :)  I love this image for it's fresh & whimisical look!  And there is an artist in all of us, how fun it is to explore that inner artist!  I colored this image with prismacolor markers as well and  paired it with some new release WRMK paper that matched the colors, added some layered flowers & framed this darling image.   I thought it would be fun to make another enlongated card so this is an 8" x 4" shape!

And lastly, I have for you baking Hannah Belle!   This sweet lil darling is cooking up something super sweet and really special for you!  She is cute enough to pair with just about any paper and layout, but I nestled her into a frame surrounded by yummy cupcakes from the Nook and Pantry Basic Grey paper stack, adorned it with a ribbon and flower & button.

I hope you've enjoyed the new collection!  Before you go, my word for you at this part of the hop is:
Everything

From here, you will continue the blog hop and head on over to see what  Betty! has in store for you!
Thanks for your visit today and good luck on the hop!

Blessings :)

Altering an album ..... make it your own ;)

I keep meaning to post this and today is the lucky day *smile!*  I recently  made this for a dear friend who celebrated her birthday.  I used to make these for our women's bible study a couple of years ago and had long forgotten them ..... so it was a fun day to refresh my memory and give it another try!

I found a calendar/day planner for the 2010 year but wasn't so happy with the way it looked ..... especially knowing her color scheme and what she might like ;)   So it went from this:
To this! {excuse the messy work desk!}  I added the bookmark and flower topper to keep in the page needed .....

And ended up with this :)
I am SO IN LOVE with these MFT Pure Innocence stamps!  I love them muchly :)   Once it's refurbished, add it back into the plastic sleeve and voila!

TFL and Happy Craftin!

Vintage Floral Flourishes ;)

Good morning friends! I hope today brings you blessings abudant ~ it's dipped to "chilly" weather here today and I'm as happy as a penguin! ;)  (chilly being in the 50's .... but it *is* Miami!)

This card was one that was both a vision (thought of it while doing laundry), scribbled it down in my pad and then made it come to life, so to speak! It's the first time I'm trying paper rolling - need to work on that a bit, but it sure was fun and a wonderful creative outlet!  I inked up the corners of the papers to match the whole ensemble .... did a paper tole for the flowers to give it more dimension & colored them to match as well.   This image is from Sugar Creek Hollow - have you stopped by?  Make sure you do!  The Grand Opening is just right around the corner on March 1st - and this image (Flourishes) will be one of the ones available to you :)

This is also my entry for the challenge at Saturday Spotlight:  Hidden Potential ~ this week's challenge was to use household items!  How creative is that - recycling at it's absolute best!  I had a pack of paper doilies for coasters and inked up one of those to use as a backdrop, and that gorgeous satin ribbon was one that came on a big box of Valentine's chocolates!  I wouldn't dream of throwing it away and can't believe a day later it came in handy for  this card!  (see!  Moral of the story: Chocolates are good for you!!  Tee hee!

It's also for The Pink Elephant Challenge #54 to use Ribbon,
and Little Red Wagon Challenge #16 to use .... ribbon! :)

TFL and blessings to all!

Let's Get Crafty!

It's Release Day at Inktegrity, and this darling little crafty girl is a new release for you to stop by and see!  It's truly an image that's a little fun, a little whimsical and so very creative for all of us paper craftin' gals!

For my card, I used Basic Grey's June Bug (Love, love that paper!) to give this a bit of a different look from my regular card dsp choices.  I paper pieced her dress, made flowers from my punches and propped them up at bit to add the matching sentiment that comes with this Happy Crafter!

My time as a DT with Inktegrity is drawing to a close and it's been a humbling experience to work with Joni at Inktegrity ~ it's been a true honor and a blessing and I'm delighted to have been chosen for part of her Winter Team.  Thank you so much, Joni!

Blessings to all!

Families are like Quilts ..... at Sugar Creek Hollow!

This image really made my  heart smile when I saw it!  My family truly is very close knit and we are much like a quilt so this was not only fun to work with and create a card around, but holds special meaning as well :)

And it can also be yours!  Sugar Creek Hollow and their DT have been busy this week showing you a preview of these stamps.  The challenge was to use all 3 of these images in ONE CARD - two is easy, but three poses a bit more of a challenge ;)

Today I have two different cards to preview for you - post is long, so make sure to scroll way, way down!   The first one is a flip card, created by paper piecing the stamped image.  What a labor of love!  But I truly enjoyed making this one - full of detail and richness.  I also added the pearls by hand since it seemed like something was missing (though pearls are not so common on quilts).

For my second card, I used the quilt image again but printed it out onto the dsp.  Then I ran it thorough my cuttlebug and folder to give it texture and the "sewn" lines though-out.  I love love how this one came out, too.  I added some tiny little threaded lace to the back of the quilt and as it's cut, the ends instantly frayed - I guess it gives it character, lol!  If anyone has any tips on how to stop fraying without using glue or glaze (tried both!), Plmk!

Thanks for looking and be sure to stop by SCH and see some of the stamps being previewed for the Grand Opening March 1st :)
Blessings!

It's a Pink Elephant Birthday Hop!

And we're hopping to celebrate Ella  The Pink Elephant's 1st Birthday :)    The challenge on this hop was to look back through TPE and find a challenge and recreate it!  I went with Challenge #16 from last year.  If you found me from Stacie's blog, then you are in the right place on the hop.  If you are just arriving, or get lost along the way, don't fret!  You can start HERE.

Meet Luigi!  He is the cutest little Pizza guy I have ever laid my eyes on!  I couldn't wait to scoop him up when I saw him being released!  Luigi is also my submission for KL Stampin N Scrappin's Challenge #16 to do Paper Tole .... so I propped up his hat AND the pizza and gave him some 3D effect.  And he definitely has a pizza my heart :)   I inverted the sketch due to how big Luigi is and to make room for the sentiment as well and paired it with some brand new Bo Bunny Valentine papers ~ yummilicious!   And for Stampin' Sisters in Christ #25 to use "two different..." my 2 different are the brown and pink patterned papers!

From here, hop on over to Melissa and see what she has for you today ~ TFL and enjoy the hop!

Deets:  Cardstock:  Melon Mambo & Pink Pirouette from SU!  Bazzill Brown; Stamps:  High Hopes Luigi & sentiment; Colored with Prismacolor markers; Fiskars punch, Ric-rac, ribbon, Bo Bunny DSP, Bo Bunny Button; Tombo, 3d dots

Cruisin by with a Kit-Cat!

Cruisin ....... on a Sunday afternoon ....... (it's a sing-a-long!) :)

This month's hostess for the Kit-Cat Club is the lovely Susan ~ she sent us Cruiseabella to bring her thoughts of warm sunshine and off all the piles of snow she's getting!  As a Floridian, I have to say this is pretty much what it looks like here - tops down, wind in their hair, sunshine bursting through .....  sadly, I drive an SUV but a convertible sure sounds nice, lol!   Combined with the kit & bella, she asked us to make an unusual (different!) fold to our cards ...... this is my first attempt at a stair step card :)  Of course, mine looks more like a wonky escalator that you find at the airport *smile!*  But it was fun!

I paired the dsp Susan sent along with some Old Olive/Bermuda Bay cardstock I had on hand .... it went well with the green floral paper she sent and embellished it with the paper scraps left over from the unfortunate event.   I wanted to create a drive down a country road on a sunny day so I used my Taylored Expressions set to make a tree ~ small flowers cut with a punch to make little apple blossoms & added some tiny blue gemstones she sent along.   Cruiseabella is colored up with some prismas in a blue car, simple to match the overall patterns in the dsp ....  added some of the lovely fringe, a sentiment and here you go!
The sentiment is also from T.E. and reads "we are friends forever in sunshine and shade" :)

Thanks for stopping by on Superbowl Sunday - hugs to all!

Cute as a Bug!

Hello and happy Friday to all my sweet friends!  Today was free day on the blog so I finally wanted to share a project that I made for a DT sample at SSC {Simply Scrapping Crafts}.   Last week, one of the projects was Create with this template from Nicole at PTI (It was also offered during the challenge - as a free download)  and this was my take:  Cute as a Bug!  I haven't seen this paper in, seriously .... a year!  I remembered it when I was thinking  up what paper would go with this big Ladybug stamp from Unity that I've also had ..... for a year, uninked *eek!*  It was time to put it to use and she was the center stamped image for this trinket box.

I added a very simple tag by running a few sheets of CS through the Cuttlebug circle nesties and then through the swiss dots folder, added sheer ribbon & ta da!  This was super simple to create and with any DSP, it could truly shine!

I'll be back later with an update on the Donna Downey class - OH MY!!!!!!!

Hugs to all my cute as a bug friends! ;)
Blessings!

Inktegrity's Sneak Peak - Day 2!

Okay, Twi-hards ..... remember how exhilerating it was seeing Bella and Edward jump into Emmett's Jeep and zip down the highway escaping from James & Victoria?   That's what I envisioned when I created this beauty of an image -- Emmett's Jeep!  And as a Jeep owner (mine is red, tee hee ), I went nuts for this image and so will you!  I had to give him a silver Rubicon - well, as silver as I could get my prismas to go *grin!*

This image will also be available in the store HERE!  Be sure to stop by and check it out!
Blessings!
