Hi bloggin' friends! I wanted to stop in today and show you one of the newest digis by Deedee's, released this week and available in her shop! Every since I was a little girl, one of my favorite things ever was a brand new box of crayons ~ there was something so exciting about opening up the box, seeing all the pretty colors, even the smell! Even today, shopping with my own children, I get so excited to go down the aisle where the crayons and Mr. Sketch smelly markers are :)
My card today is using "Thank you for coloring my world!" and the wonderful part is that this digi is from Deedee's $1 section :) She has an entire section of digi dollar stamps - and the possibilities are endless - from cards to scrapbook pages, to back to school and teacher gifts! Using some In Color papers from SU and the yummiest papers from K & Company, I colored this cutie with my prismacolor markers and added little embellies and ruffled ric-rac.

oooooh, what a fun stamp!! I just found my crayons the other day when I was looking for some old acrylic paint...the smell of those crayons brought back a lot of memories (coloring Barbie colorbooks!) Thanks for sharing this BEAUTIFUL and COLORFUL card with us!

ReplyDeleteWe just got a set of crayons this Monday for the kids. We NEVER get the big boxes... usually stick to getting lots of little boxes when they are $.25, lol. TR Us had a special on theirs and we got the set of 96 at a buy one get two free price, which made them around $2.33 each! WOOT!!! They even had the gel FX ones full of pretty glitter in them. Hannah had a ball reading all the colors and it had a code where you go online and upload your own pics and create coloring pages. So you know what we did for a few hours today :/ lol! Too fun! I love me some crayons...and luckily, so does my son...although, he has found my Copics and what fun they can bring!

Oh my. I don't think any of us serious paper craftin' gals will EVER forget the smell of new crayons! There just was nothing better about starting school than those big boxes of Crayola crayons, and they HAD to be Crayola. Now we've moved on to markers, but have never quit coloring! THANK HEAVEN!! Your card brings back so many wonderful memories. The cheerful colors buttons and ric-rak are just fabulous with this adorable image! Thanks for the memories, Kelly!

ReplyDeleteKelly, This is a super card with so many fun and "color"ful elements! The rick rack (a favorite of mine), buttons and pretty papers all tie the card together with the great image and sentiment! GREAT card!!!

What a fabby card!!! I love the smell of a new box of crayons!!!! Shhhh...don't tell anyone. I bought a collector's edition box a few years ago, and it sits, untouched on my shelf. (I crack it open every now and then to smell the crayons...heehee.)

You captured all the warm memories that I associate with crayons in your card. I'm right there with you -- so excited to get new school supplies, whether they're supposed to be for me or for the kids, they're actually ALWAYS for me -- LOL!
