I'm here to decorate ....

... your house for October!
LOL!

Happy Monday!
I have another card to share with you from The Project Bin ~
introducing ...
This is a brand new stamp set, just in at TPB shop,
and just in time to think about upcoming cards for Fall :)

For today's card, I've stamped out the spider in the set
onto kraft cardstock in a varied pattern using Altenew Jet Black ink.

I've stamped out the matching sentiment with versamark,
then added white WOW embossing powder to piece of black cardstock.
It's set with the heat embossing tool ~
it looks a little silver but it's super fine white ;)
The last little touch was an orange - yes, orange!! - staple :)

You can find this stamp set and more here in the store!
The blog is here if you'd like to see the stamp sets and inspiring cards :)

Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

CCEE1730 ~ Walk on Stilts Day!

Happy Walk on Stilts Day!

How.  fun.  is.  that!
Maryann of the CCEE Stampers DT asked us to make a tall, thin card
for challenge #1730 in honor of this unusually fun day.

What a clever idea for a card :)
My card measures 6.75 x 3.25 ~ both tall and thin.
I stamped this darling Whipper Snapper image,
Beary Special Birthday ,
colored with my prismacolor markers.

I chose this image because it's a pretty large stamp.
I remember using this on A2 size cards and it reached end to end :)
Here, it fits nicely on a taller card and with room to spare.

The sentiment is from High Hopes rubber stamps
and it's been in my collection for 7-8 years ~
and this is the first time it's seen ink!
The inside is blank with a little patterned paper
to compliment the front.

Be sure to check out the CCEE Stampers Inspiration blog
to see what the other DT members made for
"Walk on Stilts Day!"

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

Mondays with The Project Bin ~ Sailing Away

Hi friends!
Are you ready to sail away on this Monday?!
Yep - me, too :)

Mondays are Fundays
as Kelly² post on the TPB inspiration blog!

I have another look at The Project Bin's Anchor's Away stamp set.
This is really one of my favorite sets in the store ~
I adore all things nautical and it's just so versatile.
I always keep reaching for this set so often ♥

This sentiment reads:  Boat, break out another thousand.
Sounds about right! :)

And, of course, I had to decorate the inside of my card, too!

Have a great start to your week!

Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

Ready, Set, Go - Circa 2008!

Good Morning, friends!

That is not a typo - it really says 2008!
My son asked me once, when discussing the '80's,
"isn't that when you all wore poodle skirts?"
Me:  "You.  are.  hilarious."

We are on Round 3 of the Ready, Set, Go Challenge!
Jeanette is this month's hostess and asked us to go back -
way, way, WAAAAAY back into our galleries at Splitcoaststampers
and find the 8th card, representing the time we first posted to the SCS gallery -
in, you guessed it, 2008.

Oh the horrors! :/
It's such a funny trip down memory lane to look at my first cards ...
some of them I remembering making and LOVING them - LOL!

Here is my original card:
  GASP!

And here is my new card, a CASE of the above ↑

What I kept: the card color scheme and the blue background design
with yellow/green/orange design, bold flower as focal point
and a corner sentiment ...
(yes, that hideous purple flower in the corner is a sentiment, LOL!)

What I changed:  The prima flowers to a water colored stamp,
the red polka dot ribbon to red jute twine
and the brads to enamel dots,
and the circles in the patterned paper became paper-pieced flowers.

I won this stamp set in an Altenew Giveaway and am so blessed!
It's so beautiful and the videos using this watercolor wonder stamp set are absolutely beautiful!
I paired it with Amazing You
the small flowers used to create the background.

You can see here what Barb and Jeanette made
using their old cards from 2008 :)
Next month, I am up as hostess and already have my challenge planned ~
Stay tuned! :)

Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

CCEE1729 ~ Moon and Space Exploration!

Good Morning, friends :)

Over at the CCEE Stampers, Maryann is once again the hostess
of the challenge at hand.
She chose for us to make a card based on another day on the
*Days of the Year Calendar* ~ Moon and Space Exploration Day!

This is one area where my stamps are lacking, so
I chose the closest thing:  A moon, some stardust and moonbeams! ♥

The stamp is from Elzybells (retired) and I've had this set for forever and a day.
How I miss this stamp company!

Please stop by the CCEE Stampers blog
and see what the rest of the DT has made.
And if you upload your card to a gallery like splitcoaststampers,
use the keyword CCEE1729 ~ we'd love to visit and see your creation :)

I'll be back shortly with my R, S, G card, too!
We've been going through the gambit of 1,000 things and are just coming up for air.
I'm sure you know the feeling!

Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

TPB Christmas in July - Day 2!

Welcome back to day 2 of The Project Bin’s Christmas in July
 Blog Hop!

After 2 full days of The Project Bin’s holiday hop, you’ll probably have so many ideas, you can already start your Christmas list!

If you are hopping along, you should have arrived here from Patricia's blog.
If you get lost along the way, or started somewhere in the middle,
follow the candy cane trail back to The Project Bin inspiration blog.
You won’t want to miss the creativity along the way and remember:
2 lucky winners have the chance of winning
one of the 2 generous gift certificatesto shop at The Project Bin store!
 Woohoo!

For today’s holiday inspiration, I’ve created for you
a snow shaker card using my 2nd favorite stamp set in the store!
I love this holiday sentiment set ♥
Living in South Florida, this is the only snow I will see!
I used my die cuts and the Cuttlebug to make a simple circular and scallop edge,
filled it with faux snow ($1 store), sealed it with thin 3d foam tape,
and attached it to the card base.
I left the card base a little more simpler than I usually do as the fun sentiment
and snow are the focal point of my card.

The stamp reads:
Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store.
Maybe Christmas means a little bit more!'
You may recognize this wonderful quote from
the 1957 classic "How the Grinch Stole Christmas' by Dr. Suess.

Here is the set in it's entirety:

Be sure to leave a comment at each stop and the winners will be announced
on The Project Bin blog this week.
And today - I'm the last stop on the hop
and we hope you enjoyed our Christmas in July blog hop.

Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

The Project Bin offers clear stamps and metal dies ~ something for everyone.

The hop begins at The Project Bin’s inspiration blog and has the full line up.
If you arrived from Barb's amazing blog, you are in the right place!

For my stop on the hop, I'm showing you a handmade Christmas project.
My son was super lucky to visit a private island for a weekend
and brought home a piece of beautiful coral for me
as he knows I love all things ocean ♥

I wanted to find a neat way to showcase the coral,
so I added it to a tall candle holder, filled it with sand, and added jute twine!
This is such a wonderful way to 'bring home the holidays'
and make gift giving special and personalized.

The tag is made from kraft cardstock, fiskars punch, gingham ribbon.
I ran it through the Cuttlebug with a nestabilities die, cropping off the the bottom die.
The Christmas Blessings is stamped in Stazon
and is from the Luke 2 stamp set

Next up, head over to Angela's amazing blog to see what she has to inspire you.
Make sure to leave a comment for each of the stops on the hop ~
you won’t want to miss it!

Here is the full hop line up for today:
