Watercolor flowers!

Hi friends!

Happy Weekend!

Today's card is from Watercolor Wednesday

and we used the 'wet on wet' technique.

This was my first attempt with this stamp set and this particular medium

and I challenged myself to give it a try!

Splitcoaststampers showcased Debby Hughes last week

and her absolutely enchanting watercoloring!

Her videos are a great source of inspiraiton,

including the wet on wet painting.

I used a rubber stamp from Taylored Expressions called Beautiful Blossoms

and used the Altenew watercolor brushmarkers

I painted a base layer with the brushmarkers on Canson #140 paper,

dried it with a heat tool, then restamped the flower with wet paint.

I repeated this several times to get a solid image.

The sentiment is one that I had in my leftover pile ~

but I like the way it looks.   It has a nice contrast :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Big hugs, bigger blessings :)

~Kelly
