CCEE2139 ~ Classical Music Month!

Hi friends!

There's a new challenge at the CCEE Stampers this week celebrating

Classical Music Month!

We'd love for you to create a card with a musical theme.

It doesn’t have to be classical music.

It could be Jazz, Country, Rock 'n Roll - anything musical, even a musical instrument.

For my card, I'm using an older Mama Elephant set called Rock Monster.

This set is SO adorable!

I went with this musical theme because one of my besties has a birthday

this month and she adores - like ADORES - all things monsters.

I created this card with distressing the boxes that I die cut

and stamped/colored/die cut the monsters and popped them up on foam.

The colors are part of the TikTok trend -

show us your palette!

I do love me some teal, brown and pinkish reds!

Please be sure to check in to the blog here and link up your cards, too!

We'd love to see them!

Rock on!

And thanks for stopping by :)

CCEE2138 ~ Autumnal Equinox

   It's official .....

Happy fall!

It's the first official day of Autumn!

There's a new challenge at the CCEE Stampers this week:

 Yesterday was the Autumnal Equinox.

Create a Fall-themed card.

For my card, I make a quick and simple CAS card

using Lawn Fawn's Happy Harvest

and used just the wagon full of pumpkins.

Nothing says fall more than corn mazes and pumpkin patches!

There's a light watercolor wash and then I stamped/masked/colored

the image with my prismacolor markers.

I tried to color the wagon like it was rustic, or at least rusted,

alas, it didn't turn out as distressed as I'd hoped!

To see all the DT cards and link up one of yours, head to the blog!

It's beginning to look a SLOTH like Christmas ............

Hi friends!

Are you ready for the holidays?

You only have 98 days until Christmas! :)

So, TAG!

You're it!

Here's a few tags I created using the brand new Lawn Fawn

Stamptember stamp/die set!

A couple of my YouTuber friends have an open collaboration

to create tags each Wednesday so I signed up - this was week #1!

I wait for this collaboration every year and always look forward

to seeing what the stamp sets will be and which ones will I scoop up!

This year, I've resisted just about all of them

but did need to add this one to my collection <3

These sloths are SO cute!

I used a Spellbinder scallop die to create the outside of the tag

in Lawn Fawn cardstocks

and Hero Arts circular dies, including on the Lawn Fawn dsp .

On the back, I used a stitched circle die from Lawn Fawn,

I added matching colored twine from Doodlebug to the back

and left it plain white to write TO: and FROM: on it for gifts!

I stamped/die cut the cute sloth stamps and colored them,

and then popped them up onto foam for dimension.

This is a weekly collab so by the end of next month,

I'll have all the ones I need for the holidays!

Thanks for stopping by, friends!

CCEE2137 ~ MUSHROOM in my heart!

Hi friends!

There's a new challenge at the CCEE Stampers this week

and the theme is easy ...

mushrooms!

And if you are looking for my Ready-Set-Go Challenge card,

 you also found it!

Yep.

Today's card is a two-fer :)

For Lois' theme this week at the CCEE Stampers,

she asks for a card featuring a mushroom.

You can see the DT cards and link up yours here!

For Jeanette's theme of the Ready, Set, Go Challenge (RSG),

she's asked us to consider change in lieu of 9/11.

We are to go back through our cards in the past year, pick one,

and change something about it.

I found this adorable gnome card from May 2020, last year.

I really enjoyed creating this card and using this adorable

Hey Gnomie from Pink and Main (retired).

What I changed:  The paper is a fall theme with harvest colors

while the previous card was the greens of spring.

I kept the main mushroom the same - in fact, it's EXACTLY the same!

I added a fall colored tree as well and an extra mushroom

and the layout/card design has been changed, too.

I love both cards!

Stay tuned, this cutie just might be back for winter!

You can see Jeanette's card here and Barb's card here!

And that's it for me today!

CCL ~ Pumpkins!

Hi friends!

It's the 15th of the month and that means there's a new

theme for Class Card Ladies challenge ~

pumpkins!

Barb is the hostess for Team Diamonds and

Tracie is the hostess for Team Pearls

which means both teams have the same theme - different card kits :)

Barb sent us a beautiful fall themed kit with an image

from Great Impressions called Harvest cart.

I decided to use the spotlight technique and highlight just a small area

but used a square die.

This is typically done with a circular die so I switched it up a bit!

I colored the image with my prismacolor markers

and added the ribbon, designer paper and enamel dots from her kit.

To see all of the teams:

CCEE2136 and my BIRTHDAY BOY!

Hi friends!

Today is my son's birthday and

this mama can't believe it!

17!

Although most of me says "where has my baby gone!?",

I could not be prouder of the amazing young man

he has grown up to be :)

Today will be a day filled with festivies and fun

(and a drama production which landed on his birthday so ....

a LATE celebration as well!)

Okay, enough gushing ...

There's a new challenge at the CCEE Stampers

and this one is:

Tomorrow (9/10) is Swap Ideas Day. For today’s challenge, find a card you have seen using a new technique to you, or a new color combination, or anything you’ve never done before and make a card. Be sure to credit the person whose idea you have used.

My swap idea:  Twinchies!

This is perfect, Lois!

I just recently did a swap with my YouTube friends

and created my first Twinchies :)

They were a hoot and definitely fun to make.

Twinchies are not new, but new to me, and this set had a Florida vibe.

I used Doodlebug and Simple Stories ephemera and papers

and kept them to the 2" x 2" size required!

I'm sorry I don't have photos ~

I forgot to take them before I mailed them!

But you can watch the video here on my YouTube Channel.

Good thing it's not share your gift day ...

as I've inherited the GIFT OF GAB! :)

Toodles!

3M ~ Gratitude!

Hi friends!

I have 2 posts today ~ to see my CCEE Stampers card, go here!

Today is also the day we post our card for 3M,

the 3 Musketeers!

Barb is our hostess this month and sent us this gorgeous image.

This image is from Stamplistic and it's called Cornucopia

and it's perfect for the lovely feel of autumn!

I had a marvelous time coloring this image

and am glad she sent another one -

I would love to die cut this out, too!

I colored the image with prismacolor markers

and set it upon a base card layer with script.

I loved the layering of the soft paper with words

and left the image as is with no sentiment on the front to showcase

the beauty of this large cornucopia image!

Please be sure to see what Barb has created today

and what Jeanette has created as well!

Thanks for a beautiful image, Barb!

And everyone ~  thanks for stopping by!

Make mine a DOUBLE!

Hi friends!

Happy Labor Day!

I hope your weekend is going wonderful <3

Today's card is wishful thinking -

double cups of Starbucks coffee THIS BIG!

Wow!

I'd be up for a week straight, I bet! :)

The CAS challenge this week has a theme perfectly me ..

coffee!

I used my My Favorite Things A La Mode stamp set

and colored this cutie with prismacolor markers.

I used the matching die to die cut the image

and popped it up onto a bit of foam

although the CAS card is supposed to be a one. sheet. wonder ...

oops!

The sentiment is a pre made label sticker from K & Co

and I thought it was so cute for this huge coffees!

This card will be added to my son's card drive for his Boy Scouts project

to deliver cards to a senior citizen center in our neighborhood.

They asked for more cards!

He delivered them over 200 cards and the director called him

and said "if you have any more, we'll take them!"

Suuuuuhweet!

Thanks for stopping by and peeking!

One Plus Twelve - September!

Hi friends!

Happy Friday and let's here it for the long weekend!

Today's card is for my favorite card series,

one I created 3 years ago <3

This post will share how it got started

and the first card of 2021, which I post on the 3rd of each month.

The idea: I create a card using just 1 stamp, 12 different ways!

And if you are following my YouTube channel

you'll see a new series starting this afternoon,

including this card!

For September, I decided to be a little more creative

and think outside the box ~ as well as create a card that's festive!

I do love September!

This design came about by a happy accident,

 envisioning a split negative.

The paper would be on the bottom, white space on the top and

then the stamped flower with floral on top, white space on the bottom!

I absolutely love how this turned out,

especially with the added sentiment strip from CZ Designs!

I invited my friends Barb and Jeanette to join me in this challenge

and you can see their cards on their blogs today.

Yay for Friday!

Yay for no school for 3 days!

Yay for crafty friendships!

Thanks for stopping by today :)

CCEE2135 ~ September is honey month!

 Hiya friends!

Happy September!

This is one of my favorite months,

mostly because it's the one my son was born in <3

And school is settling into a good routine

AND I'm heading for a week's vacation in 2 weeks -

and that's super awesome! :)

September is also honey month!

So at the CCEE Stampers this week, we're celebrating

all things honey!

Think honey: bees, beehives (not the hair kind!), honeycombs, etc!

Here is my card using one of my favorite bee sets:

Meant to BEE from My Favorite Things stamps.

You can link up your cards here on the CCEE blog ...

have fun creating!
