Hey, How's the weather?! :)

Good morning :)  Thank you all so much for the wonderful words and sweet,  blessed words for our fur baby -- it meant the world to me!  Right now, she's recovering and not in the best shape, but we were grateful to bring her home.   We won't know the pathology reports until later on today so we're all on bended knee, hoping for good news!

I have a simple card to share today and a short-ish post.   My card for the SOTC this month with a theme of "what was the weather like on New Year's Day?"  I remember looking out the window and wishing for snow :)  But all I saw was lots and lots of sunshine :)  What inspired me most about making this card is that so often here in Miami when I'm out with the kids on their bikes or walking our doggies, the light breeze often brings the most wonderful smell of the ocean.  Sometimes I just stop and close my eyes and just breath it in - the smell of the salt in the air, the crisp feel to it - I tell you, if I am still long enough, I can hear the waves lapping on the shore in my mind.     We are avid beach goers as the ocean is my very favorite place to be so I felt this represented my area, my weather, right down to the embossed sand in the lady/pup's toes! :)
So thank you, hostess Maryann, for inspiring me to use a stamp set I"ve owned for over 2 years and it's never seen ink! I'm doing a wonderful job of "using what ya got" so far this year!   And ust for my friend lil dj, I added some pink flip flops ;)  And my card ended up being 5 x 5 so "as Susan would say", I added an envelope in hopes of staying out of the corner! :)

Entered into:
1. PaperPlay Challenge - Stamp it out!
2. Magical Monday - Flowers
3. Fairy Knoll - flowers
4. StampsRUs - animals
5. CCEE - Punches
6. DutchDare Cards - Buttons
Blessings to all,
x0x0
Kelly
