Happy Almost Weekend! Today's post is for the Dueling Darlings Divas -vs- Dazzlers! This month, our hostess for the Darlings was Jamie and she sent us a darling card kit with a Back to School theme :) Jamie sent us a few different school images to use - a backback, a small stamped bus and a crayon and I just loved this backpack image! The word design is just ingenious. Jamie's kit was just so much fun -- although my card does not make me happy, lol - it didn't turn out the way I envisioned but it was so much fun to go back to school with all the paper, embellies and fabby sentiments she sent us! Now, the funny thing - I love the inside more :) I think the quote standing alone just really makes a statement - go figure!
Also, Jamie is a brand new NAVY MOM! Her son recently completed basic training and is heading to Japan to report for duty - be sure to stop by and give her a shout out! Blessings to our military and all they do for us :)
Here is my Back to School card from the front: lighting is terrible, I'm so sorry! :(

Inside of the card ~ such a great quote! |
Jamie also asked us to share our favorite school memory ~ in my case, I LOVED school from grade level all the way to Grad school! It was a happy time for me, but one incident in particular that stands out for me was a field trip that we took. In Kindergarten, we took a field trip to a fire station and it had a huge fish pond in the front filled with koi fish and plants. There were two boisterous boys in my class that double dog dared me to put my feet into the pond. I grew up a tomboy, and I wasn't one to pass up a dare! Mind you, we had been warned by the firemen and our teacher to stay away from the pond, but did I listen? Ummmmm. I not only put my feet in, but I did a huge belly flop right smack into the middle of it. Needless to say, the kids erupted in laughter, the boys stood there with their mouths hanging open, and the firemen, my teacher and later my mom (who had to bring dry clothes for me to change into) were all steaming mad. I went from nerdy bookworm to uber cool status in like a nano-second, even if just for a little while ;) I still remember that like it was yesterday! So does my mom .... but I digress!
Want to see what the other Divas made with this identical kit? It's too cute! You can see them here:

Thanks for stopping by today! We are off to Disney so I wish you a fabulous weekend!
Big hugs,
Bigger Blessings!
