Trash to Treasure - Recycling with PDS!

Hi friends!  Another busy week here and it's only Tuesday! I'm working my son's school book fair this week, my girl's have had choral meetings and Open House, and we leave for Disney World on Friday and I'm so not ahead of schedule!  I need a Venti S'Bux latte x4 right about now ...... lol!

How about some trash turned to treasure in card form?  How cool is that!  The theme this week at Pixie Dust Studio Challenge blog  is to recycle.   For my card, I actually used 5  recycled items (there are actually 4, but one was used twice - just turned inside out)  Can you guess what they are?  :)

For today's card, I used the Miss Music digi paired with soft yellow paper and ....... recycled item #1 - a Baby Gap bag!  I used the brown as a backdrop paper for the card/image and then flipped it to use the inside as a DSP.   The matching ribbon is the handle of the bag - pretty neat stuff!  Items #4 are the buttons I found in the bottom of my sewing box and the 5th is a corrugated piece of Starbucks coffee sleeve that I added under my sentiment.  I cut strips of the bag freehand and  left them wonky on purpose and distressed the edges to give it more texture.  This sure was a fun card to make, I'm really pleased with it :)

So here is the bag I started with that became my base (brown) paper - you can't see the inside, but it's the striped paper you see on the card :)

The inside of my card :)
Close up of Miss Music!

We'd LOVE to see what recycled items you used for your card.  Remember to upload your
cards to the Challenge blog.  I'd also love to tell you that you can find some of PDS's digis on sale right here in the shop!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Big hugs,
Bigger Blessings!
~Kelly

You are a master recycler, Kelly -- wow! This whole card is super cute, but I especially like the piece from your SB cup -- it's so YOU! :-) Praying the busy-ness slows down and that you have a wonderful trip to Disney -- how fun!
