It's a Kell-of-a-mess ~ June!

 Hi friends!

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

I had card class yesterday while simultaneously watching my team

advance forward to the quarter finals for the Euro Cup!

So I had a BLAST creating this cards - SO SUPER DUPER SIMPLE!

Yet fun and ..... ahem, messy :)

Earlier this year, I decided to reclaim a few of my earlier ideas

for cards/groups and asked for a little help on Instagram.

I held a contest for a gift card win for renaming the MESSY series

and

Kellofamess won!

Honestly, it's a HILAROUS name :/

For my 3 cards, I did free hand watercoloring

to create the rainbows for a monthly hop theme.

I absolutely LOVE the organic look and didn't mind one bit

that the colors ran or mixed together.

I didn't even mind when I accidently glued made an upside rainbow!

I used Flower Shower from Mama Elephant to complete the look

and left them intentionally uncolored for highlighting the rainbow.

3 simple yet fun to create kellofamess cards!

Thank you The Maker Session!

 Hi friends!

I hope this brings you a smile! :)

I have a sponsored post to share with you today

and it's a product review from The Maker Session!

I was invited to try out their gorgeous dauber wand here:

You can see the in action reel here on Instagram!

The dual ended dauber wand is an ink blending gem!

It comes in a variety of colors and I was absolutely delighted

to receive one in Key Lime green - my favorite color!

It also brings an additional 6 dauber wands which are interchangeable ~

just pop off the dauber top and add another one as you like,

especially for ink color changes.

For best results, gently patting down ~ or daubing ~

 definitely gives sharp, crisp results

and the ink stays in the dauber for a long lasting usage!

To showcase the wand, I created a small short 60 second reel

on my Instagram that shows this one is action.

You can see it here!

And here's my card, created with the Pink and Main Cloudy Day stencil

and the A Gift For You stamps and dies, also from P and M.

I used distress inks and use the daubing wand to dab along the clouds

to create that cloud edge.

I repeated the process for creating grass - easily changing out

the top of the dauber wand to use another color.

The Maker Session wand is perfect for those tiny nooks and crannies

and getting into smaller spaces with stencils.

Those hard to reach corners are easier with an easy to manage and hold

daubing wand!

YAY for blogger - 3M June!

Hi friends!

YAY  I'm back on blogger!

Massive thanks to my son who figured out a few bugs

and has me back online :)

Gotta love teenagers and technology!

Today's the day we 3 Musketeers post our cards with a 'same image'

and this month's image is Hero Arts Birthday Balloons.

Barb was the hostess for this month and

something. i. just. noticed.

My last month card never posted either and I was the hostest

*face palm!*

I went with bright cheerful fun colors for my balloons

using copic markers.

I paired it with a background made with mica powder and water

and added on a sentiment that came with the image.

Thank you, Barb!

Be sure to see the other 2/3's of the 3M by seeing

 Barb's card here and

 Jeanette's card here!

using My Favorite Things You're Super!

Gina K Appreciation Hop!

Hi friends!

I was planning a different post today for the 3M

but 1/3 of our group still hasn't received the images :(

So I'll be posting once those are in hand and she's able to post

because it's the right thing to do!

Stay tuned for the reveal of the May 2024 mystery image!

Instead, here's a fun card I created for the

Gina K Designs Appreciation Hop!

My sweet friends on IG invited me to be part of this big, wonderful

hop celebrating "one of the OG's in the stamping community!"

You can find the hop here on my Instagram: createwithkas

We all know and love Gina and how talented she is ~

from her products and live streams and videos

and handling the drama in the FB groups with grace.

To honor that and more, we all decided to create a card/project

with her in mind using her stamps, dies, etc and one of her techniques

and share positivity while featuring Gina's stamps and style!

Here is mine:

I'm still one week post-op and planned to use her

Box of Cards idea but only managed to create one card.

But I like it so win/win ... amiright? :)

I used Lovely Flowers stamps and matching dies,

paired with a lattice die from Whimsy Stamps

and circle dies from Hero Arts.

I don't have many supplies from GKD so I did have to improvise

but love how her beautiful flower is the star of the show.

 Here's a final look:

Thanks for stopping by today!

and Happy Gina K Designs Appreciation Day :)

May the FORCE be with you!

Hi friends!

I'm BEYOND (the galaxy!) delighted to be a Guest Designer

for Stamp Anniething for the months of May and June!

The amazing stamps, dies and products for May are simply

OUT OF THIS WORLD!

For the next 4 days, I'll be showcasing

fun new stamps, dies and lots of products here

as well as on my Instagram and YouTube channel.

If you haven't guessed the theme, here's day 1!

Star Wars fans - this one is for you!

Introducing The Mandolorian and Grogu!

My card features a galaxic background

with Din Jarin and Grogu in his hover pram ~

the absolute cutest.

This is a great set for the fans of Star Wars

and has a matching stamp, die, helmet and hover pram dies

as well as amazing stencils which you'll see this week!

I used my prismacolor markers for this card

and created a fun galaxy background by using acetate

and designer paper.  By altering the layers and leaving space,

it gives a little glimmer almost like light shining through.

And here's the inside:

Time to CELEBRATE!

Hi friends!

Today I have a card to share for a card group

hosted by my sweet friend, Kim.

The theme this week is:  Birthday invitations!

Since she did say the themes are open to interpretation,

I stretched it just a wee bit to create a card for my son.

He's officially done with this college school year!

He made the Dean's List once again,

will be home for the summer and has a job/internship thingie

lined up so we have A LOT to celebrate!

Today, we'll take him out with the family for a celebration dinner

at his favorite asian restaurant

so I tailored this card just for him.

And he is one of my BIGGEST supporters of my cardmaking

and always cheering me on ~ how lucky am I!

Okay, that's it for gushing :)

Here is my card!

Thanks so much for stopping by and

HAPPY SUMMER!!!!!!

The WHIMSY Rainbow!

 Hi friends!

I hope you had a FABULOUS weekend!

Ours was magnificent - celebrating a birthday

AND I had a wee bit of time to get crafty!

That's ALWAYS a bonus, right?!

I'm delighted to be a part of my friend's monthly card group

where there are themes to build our cards.

For this 3rd monthly challenge, the theme is Rainbow Wishes.

I do love me a rainbow!

LUCKY ME! I'd just gotten my amazing DT box from @whimsystamps

and just love these new Marquee Mix and Match dies.

I thought outside the box and made a whimsical rainbow!

I added a butterfly from the Butterflies clear stamps

and matching Butterflies outline die set

and the sentiment from the set ~

which I adore ... it's typewriter font!

SPRING with Whimsy Butterflies!

Hi friends!

Today I'm sharing a bouncy butterfly card

with a hidden message :)

Each Wednesday on Instagram I host a card hop

with an amazing group of friends

and we're going on our second year of Wednesday crafting.

They are so talented and inspiring and really make my heart smile

each week with the fun themes and creativity!

This week, Amrita asked us to create a card that SPRINGS into ACTION

and I interpreted that as to having a spring elements or movement.

OF COURSE my planned card to have an action wobbler went rouge

since I couldn't find the bag of wobblers in my craft room :/

I used Whimsy Stamps to create my card:

~ Butterflies clear stamps

~ Butterflies outline die set

~ Lattice A2 die

~ Notched rectangle dies

You can see it moving in action here on Instagram

and the hidden surprise element!

Here's my card AND the spring bouncy action :)

Plan B it was!

I created a magical background using water gems

and chose one background at random.

They all turned out so lovely!

Stash Busters: You ROCK!

Hi friends!

Today I have this week's Stash Busters cards to share!

This bi-weekly card group has a theme

and this week is:  Graduation/Celebration AND CASE a sketch.

So, I made a HUGE boo-boo this week!

I looked at the calendar and saw NEXT week's theme

and created cards as such :)

Thinking SUPER quick, I decided to CASE a card

from the very talented Crystal Komara!

I spotted this rainbow paw print card here:

and a background of rainbow-y colors that I painted from

leftover Easter egg dye.

I added a fun sentiment (hopefully celebratory!)

from the Bold Statements clear stamp set.

April 3M: Peaceful Florals

Hi friends!

I have a quick post for you today since I'm posting this from AFAR! :)

But it's the 9th and that's the day the 3M card group

designated as THE day to post our cards with a mystery image!

Our hostess this month for the 3M is Jeanette

and this is the gorgeous image she sent to us to play with.

It's from Gina K Designs called Peaceful Florals

and I think it's an older/retired image

because I couldn't find where to link to :)

I went with tones of blue and really love the pop of color

and added a bunch of frames since I was stumped on what to create

as we were packing and dashing!

Be sure to see what Jeanette and Barb created as well!

Fan Dance Day!

 Hi friends!

Happy Saturday!

Did you know April 3 was Fan Dance Day?

Truly!

I'm in a talented group of card makers where we pick a

non-traditional holiday (or wild or wacky!)

and create a card based on that holiday.

I chose Fan Dance Day!

So here is my card!

I 'rediscovered' an older stamp set from my stash called Ni Hao

from Waffle Flower Stamps.

This set represents one of the cultures that celebrates the Fan Dance,

a dance where the fan is the main prop.

My idea was to create a beautiful scene

with a crowd and friends watching the beautiful girl and her fan.

The fans are an extension of the dancer's body and transforms

into different objects such as a leaf and conveys emotion.

Although it's a traditional dance of the Chinese folk dancers,

it's adopted by the Hani, Korean and other talented groups

that form their own fan dance styles!

You can check out this card and more of my creations on my

Instagram here: @createwithkas
