Happy Fri-YAY!

 Happy Friday, friends!

Today's card is very much a "Kelly" card ~

lots of fun, bright and whimsical colors!

AND ....

It's made from ALL DIE CUTS!

(except that wee little sentiment!)

How cute is this!

It's a card made from - of course - Whimsy Stamps!

The drippy frame die was perfect for this spook-tacular set up

and I added black cats from the Build-A-Graveyard set.

I think it's fun and perfect for sending to a sweet little that I know!

I added a heat embossed sentiment from the Cutie Batootie stamp set

and masked off the top of the sentiment :)

Be sure to check out the new Whimsy Stamps website ~

so easy to navigate and shop!

Halloween Magic!

Hi friends!

Today I have a fun card share featuring the adorable

Halloween stamps and dies from Whimsy Stamps!

I was inspired by my daughter's love of Kiki's Delivery Service

which she watched over and over AND OVER

rewinding the VHS tape!

That was 20+ years ago but memories are forever :)

For this card, I used Halloween Magic stamps and dies,

coloring them and popping them up for dimension.

The beautiful blended sky was a perfect backdrop

I heat embossed the sentiment and added a little dust to the spikes

on the fence to give it that aged, patina look!

AND ... there's more!

There is a new release with SUPER FUN goodies now available!

Be sure to check out the store's new products

for some happy crafting!

The ProCRAFTinator's Club: August!

Hi friends!

Today's share is for the TCP

~ The ProCRAFTinator's Club ~

where a group of us friends share our cards

made from a kit, class, camp or retreat!

We post every 2nd Monday and with a theme of Anything Goes :)

I'm behind in a couple of blog posts ~

 my beautiful granddaughter

is here for 2 weeks and this Oma is overjoyed!

So we're going back to March 2024 for this Pinkfresh Studio

virtual retreat ~ a gift from my husband and kids for my birthday <3

It was a fun series of classes

and O.M.G. the box that arrived filled with stamps, dies, stencils,

and pap;er, ephemera. etc took my breath away!

It was hard to choose where to start creating!

I did the retreat live but mostly watched :)

For today's card, I had 'kid in a candy store' syndrome

but finally settled on the Artsy Floral washi, stencil and die set.

For added sparkle, I used the PFS gold gems to highlight

the gold that is on the flower outlines of the washi.

The retreat was an easy pace and the classes were so versatile ~

I'm a slow crafter because I overthink everthing to de@th

but this was seriously top notch!

10/10 recommend!

And that's it for August!

Thanks for stopping by!

AECP ~ Easy Die Cutting Technique

 Hi friends!

I'm back with another card creation from the Altenew Academy

AECP ~ Easy Die Cutting Techniques!

For my card today, I'll share how and which Altenew products I used,

and what stood out for me the most with this class technique.

This card is so vibrant and zesty and cheerful!

The class is taught by the amazing Yana Smakula

and she highlights several techniques using die cuts.

The Moroccan Lattice Cover Die is stunning as a background to a card

but on this card, I used the die cut as a stencil - two ways!

I started this card with the Zesty Life complete bundle

stamp/die/stencil set from Altenew.

The layering stencils make this such a fun and effortless process!

The images are stamped with Altenew Permanent Black Ink

and die cut with the Zesty Life outline dies

and I did all my ink blending for the stencils with the Stamp Wheel.

The kraft cardstock was run through the die cut machine

to give a base layer piece.

Using the Stamp Wheel, I lined it up on top of white cardstock

and blended ink directly through the paper 'die cut' stencil.

I used a heavy hand to get a bolder look

but with the leftover ink only in the brush,

I made a second background with another cardstock base.

Once it was stenciled, I splattered the bolder one with white paint

for a little extra drama!

One thing that stood out for me in the class is arrangement.

Sometimes foe me, it's an instant feel

and other times it's trial and error, much like this card.

I second guessed where and how to put the

lemons several times - and then it was the sentiment!

Finally, it mostly made sense and I love that Yana reminds us

to keep the 'stencils' ~ you can use them over and over!

Here's a final look at my encouragement card!

Interestingly enough, that's an actual Key Lime tree behind the card,

growing in our yard with fruit abundant!

Happy crafting,

Hi friends!

In 91 one more days, it's Halloween!!

You can HOP along with us here by heading to my Instagram!

 Sneak peek!

Here's my card!  I used Cutie Batootie clear stamps

and matching outline dies from Whimsy Stamps.

I've paired it with this spooktacular background paper

from Whimsy Stamps Haunted Graveyards 6 x 6 paper pad.

Crafting made easy and fun with paper made just for a scene!

The cute bat was stamped onto black cardstock and heat embossed

with white embossing powder for the highlights.
