GNOME one like YOU!

and you and you and YOU!

Hi friends!

I have a fall floral card to share with you today,

bursting with color and cheer!

This is one of the sets from Stamptember that had me SMITTEN!

This collab stamp and die set is from Clearly Besotted

and Simon Says Stamp and is an all-year-round stamp set.

For this card, I went with fall colors ...

and then I don't know WHERE I WENT!

Honestly, my coloring stinks...

and most of my markers are drying out

and I'm WISHING UPON A STAR

that Santa brings new ones this year!

Good thing *Santa* is my husband

and instead of the North Pole, he shops with links! :)

The edge die is from Pinkfresh Studio

and I do love how this cars turned out :)

I had my friend Bonnie in mind when creating it ~

oh, she loves her gnomies!

Here's a final look!

The ProCRAFTinator's Club - November!

Hi friends!

 Today's card share is for

~ The ProCRAFTinator's Club ~

where a group of us friends share our projects

made from a kit, class, camp or retreat!

This idea came from chatting with friends

and how so many of us are proCRAFTinating on our classes,

camps and kit/subscription boxes!

All those kits, past and present, online classes and camps ~

We're dustin' them off and creating :)

For November, I'm heading back to Scrapbookfest 2024

which was wonderful!

I did watch (<-- keyword!) the classes but waited too late

to order this class kit ~ it sold out in record time!

By the time it came back in stock, the class was over

so I just watched and created with other existing supplies.

And that's okay, too :)

This card is using the supplies in the class

and I just sort of designed a card that was creatively fun!

I paper pieced together the polar bear in soft neutral colors

of tiffany blue and grey.

I stamped the sentiment from Wonder & Delight, also from SBCom,

and added it as a base for the bear and presents.

We will be back in December with another proCRAFTinated card

and continuing on in 2025!

Thanks for stopping by :)

With gratitude

Hi friends!

I can't believe we are already in NOVEMBER!

And in 57 more days, it will be a brand new year ...

2025!

Today is all about gratitude :)

My card today is using one of my top favorite MMH kits

from Hero Arts and it's from March 2024.

I love LOVED that near my birthday, they released a kit

that was an immediate YES!

It's absolutely everything amazing with an asian theme

and so much in the kit to create for weeks and still have left overs!

I chose to focus on red - good luck for the new year -

and used the matching die,

purposely only removing some of the cutouts.

I've used this die before and wanted to try this - and I like it!

I watercolored a panel and added a dark pink behind the frame

and the flowers were stamped onto the dried panel.

It's so much lighter online but IRL, this has a beautiful subtle rainbow

tint ~ super sweet!

I also added a few of the transluscent gems from the kit as a highlight.

                                   Thanks for stopping by

and have a beautiful start to your week!

Once More in '24 ~ November

 Hi friends!

It's the time of year where I debut my

 FAVORITE

  personal challenge -

One Plus Twelve!

This is the 6th year of my card challenge

where I take ONE stamp (and only one stamp!)

and make a card TWELVE times (once a month on the 3rd).

The idea came from my wish to extend the use of the stamps,

bought and often used only once ~ why not challenge yourself

to see how many different ways!

For 2024, I chose Pink and Main's Wildflowers stamp.

Here's November:

This stamped image is so versatile.

It's so beautiful and a fun way to get more birthday/

thinking of you, etc cards.  I did add a ready made sentiment

using a Tim Holtz sentiment.

My friends Barb and Jeanette are joining me

again this year in the challenge

as we have done for the past 6 years.

This year, I decided to call One Plus Twelve

by a cute catch phrase for 2024

Once More in '24 ...

every month on the 3rd!

Halloween barn dance!

 Hey friends!

Quick post today since I've been out of the house all weekend

and plowing through (no pun intended!) a massive migraine :(

I created a fun harvest/barn Halloween scene

for a card hop with my friend Sara.

The theme was farm/barn animals dressed in costume

so I'm going with Milo The Mouse dressed as a farmer!

I added some big spiders to make the barn look extra festive :)

K ...

probably dating myself here but remember in the 50's

when Tarantula came out!

Those MASSIVE spiders taking over ~ bruh!

AECP - Let It Shine!

Hi friends!

Wishing you a wonderful start to your weekend!

Today, I'm excited to share my completed card for the next course

in the AECP Altenew Academy Level 1 journey!

This exciting and glittery course was taught by the talented

Carissa Wiley and it's called Let It Shine!

She is truly Queen of Sparkle!

My card was so incredible fun to create and the good kind of messy.

I started with the set Bountiful Bouquet from Altenew

and stamped/die cut directly onto a mixed media panel.

The panel was created by using the super fun Lindy's Magicals

including the Halloween set.

I loved the organic look to the panel and it has so much shimmer

and shine when it moves around in the light.

"Don't overlook embossing when adding shine!"

I love this tip from Carissa!

I had just received an order which included the

Gold glitter cardstock - gilded set and it was perfect for the sentiment!

I die cut the Thank You using the Timeless Sentiments die set

and the gold shimmer helps to pick up the shimmer in the paint.

"Images have a beautiful shimmer with a dark background"

I chose a dark green cardstock from Stampin' Up

to compliment the rose/gold tones in the floral image.

For the final glitz, I added some flecks of metallic paint

to the background of the cardstock to highlight the gold

and a few enamel golden dots sprinkled around.

One finally look, my supervisor has given her PAW-proval!

Haunted Mansion Memories!

 Welcome, Foolish Mortals!

If you have ever entered Disney's Haunted Mansion,

those spooky words will sound familiar! :)

It's my favorite ride at Disney

and so many memories of our recent trip are still near to heart <3

Today I'm sharing a purple Haunted Mansion card

to celebrate my granddaughter's birthday at Disney.

Although she wasn't a fan of the Haunted Mansion, she LOVED

her birthday trip and we did, too!

I sent this one to my daughter (who's favorite color is purple)

and used the September My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts.

SO MANY goodies included in this kit -

cards for days upon days can be made!

I'll be Gnome for Christmas!

 Hey friends!

Dashing by with a quick hi and an even quicker card to make

~ clean and simple!

My friend Brennan had a challenge for a One Layer Christmas Card

~ yikes!  I don't do one layer very well often

so this was a LEAP outside the box!

I settled on the adorable Gnome for the Holidays from Whimsy Stamps

and I let the whismical colors and MERRY letters be the stars :)

Here's the really skinny side view!

Life is settling down to quieter moments here with the storm leaving,

birthday girl is officially 6 and

tomorrow The Kid and I are heading to his college.

So see - simple is good after all :)

The non-colors of fall!

Hi friends!

The splendor of fall is here with changing leaves,

a crisp touch to the air and

it's pumpkin everything! :)

I absolutely adore this time of year knowing that soon

our home will once again be filled with our family,

visiting from all the parts of the globe for the holidays

in November and December!!

I have a fun card to share today with some

rather unusual colors for pumpkins ~

non-traditional colors of fall!

That's the challenge theme my sweet friend Traci

gave us this week in our Wednesday

 Instagram card group here!

Her challenge:

"create a fall card with non-traditional colored leaves."

I ADORE green and teal together!

I had an idea to create a fall-ish, non-traditionalish card

using Harvest Blessings from Trinity Stamps.

Since green might be considered a traditional fall color,

I grabbed my watercolors and used mostly purple and teal

and let the water do it's magic!

I added a simple splatter to the background

and popped up the sentiment for some extra drama :)

Thank you Trinity Stamps for the shout out on Instagram

and resharing my card - I'm truly honored!

Jeepers Creepers .............

Jeepers Creepers ...

where'd you get those eyes?!

Hey friends!

I have a spooky scarecrow card to share

and this one is super spooky,

based on the movie Jeepers Creepers!

Please check out my Instagram here for the creepier version :)

This was a FUN card to make!

I started with this haunted scarecrow die from Whimsy Stamps

and had a fun time using sprays and spritzes!

I started with a base of Ranger ink blended distress oxide inks

and then sprayed water to give it a messy, runny effect.

Next, I die cut the Halloween Scarecrow die

and sprayed/spritzed using the Tim Holtz spritzes in a variety of colors.

I did the same to the wrought-iron fences going for a patina look.

Before adding it to my card base, I stamped the corn/wheat

from the Headless Horseman clear stamp set in the background

and as a final touch, added some spritzed pumpkins.

Spooky Season is upon us!

It is always a fun time of year to see both fall and Halloween

and I hope my card today gives you some inspiration!

It's a Kell-of-a-mess - October!

Hey friends!

It's time for another edition of Kell-of-a-mess!

This year, I decided to reclaim a few of the ideas I created

and bring them back to my cardmaking.

Messy play is fun when creating my cards and

I love seeing the organic creations that come from them!

Hello October!

This month I used 3 different mediums on my card:

watercolors, inks and markers!

I started with watercolors and a stencil to create the background

and just let the colors (mint and hot pink) blend together naturally.

Once it was dry, I stamped out the flowers

from Gina K Designs Beautiful Day
(from the Crop and Create/ September 2024)

in hues of pink from Lawn Fawn inks.

Finally, I used my Altenew marker to darken up the flower middles

for a little more drama!

I'm so glad I revisited this idea of mine because I missed it!

Stay tuned for 2024 ~ there's a wild ride ahead

and I'm SUPER DUPER excited to share what it is!!

One last look!

Fall Fun with Friends!

 Hi friends!

It's time for another week of Fall Fun with Friends!

This is a wonderful group of cardmaking friends on Instagram

and you can see all the fun themes and card inspirations here!

This week our theme from Kati was "Fall gnomes or Autumn Wreaths"

I knew immediately I was going to break out

the Stamptember gnomes from Clearly Besotted ~

they are a GEM!

(Fun fact:  I had a different card - which I adored - but

my daughter said 'that's not fall - that's spring!"

EEK!

So I quickly re-thunk my card and recolored the flowers more fall-ish

AND it fits my personal challenge of Peachtober! :)

There is a lot of texture on this card from die cutting the images

and popping them up on 3D foam.

I colored them with my prismacolor markers and included the florals

in a wreath-y shape and added one of the gnomes to the front.

There's another gnome on the inside of the card :)

One last glance!

BREWIN' up some FUN!

 Hi friends!

Very quick post today as we are in Florida

and need to batten down the hatches as we anxiously await

hurricane Milton.

Please think good thoughts and PRAY for our state!

My card is very simple and I'm not at all happy with it

but I had to post it for the 3M - 3 Musketeers - card group.

We are Jeanette, Barb and myself and take turns

sending an image (safe within the angel policies!)

and this month Jeanette sent us this hilarious Witchy Way

by C C Designs.

I looked it up since I hadn't seen it before and it has a trio

of super funny witches!

I fussy cut the witch and popped her on a backdrop of vellum

to keep her from getting lost in the designer paper,

which is from Photo Play.

You can see Jeanette's card here

and Barb's card here!
