1 + 12 = Crafty Bliss in '26!

Hey friends!

Our internet has been down but back up ~

isn't it hard to rely on a system that when it goes poof, we are so lost!

As you may have read from this post, I had a crazy card

this month for my personal card challenge:  One Plus Twelve.

You can see here what it's all about!

This year, my 1 + 12 stamp is a Pinkfresh Studio set called

Never Give Up

appropriate for me and the goals I have set for 2026 :)

This month, I am upcycling!

I did say that the card was ...... weird, lol!

I know this style of cardmaking (and recycling) isn't for everyone ..

but then again, neither am I - some people prefer normal,

 bwahahaha!

I used this insert coupon from SSS from a recent package

and the coupon has expired.

I thought the colors were so striking!

I've gotten mail more than once, ahem, so yes, you see double :)

I used Whimsy Stamps arched die as a border,

vellum underneath splattered with white ink from Altenew

and Recollections cardstock in various colors.

The sentiment is from another PFS set as are the silver gemmies.

My friends Jeanette and Barb have joined me again this year

in this challenge and you can see their cards

on their blogs:  Jeanette here and Barb here!

As always, you can find me here on Instagram

or my YouTube channel to see more!

Thanks for stopping by!

1 + 12: Crafty Bliss in '26!

Hi friends!

We're moving from 1 +12 Thrives in '25 to

Crafty Bliss in '26!

Welcome to One Plus Twelve,

my FAVORITE personal card challenge of the year!

Am I late?

I am, fashionably so 😆

This year was a struggle.

I knew exactly the stamp I wanted to use months ago

and missed the release due to an out of town trip.

GARSH!

I stalked it for weeks, then months, praying for a restock

and finally asked the ownerif it was coming back,

much to my dismay,

the answer was a resounding no :(

Scouring resale boards and asking everyone proved fruitless,

so I eventually gave up ... but haven't forgotten!

Maybe one day.

Onward!

No sense cryin' over spilled milk ..

or whatever Martha Washington said ðŸ˜†

Just in case you are asking yourself WHAT IS ONE PLUS TWELVE?

This idea is my 'baby' 💖

The idea is:

We spend so much money on our crafty supplies

and often would get a stamp/die/product and use it.

Just once.

So the challenge is to use a singular chosen stamp once a month =

One (stamp) Plus Twelve (months) of cards!

So, you will see today's stamp 11 more times this year.

I asked my friends Barb and Jeanette to join me when

I dreamed up this idea (literally) and we are still going strong.

We each pick a stamp and keep it a secret until reveal day.

Hopefully they brought snacks because reveal day was January 3rd

and they are probably starving by now otherwise .....

Like I said .... fashionably late 😯

What I chose as a replacement!

2026:  Never Give Up by Pinkfresh Studio.

It's a lovely floral stamp with a die, stencils and betterpress plate.

My BP is still sitting in a box - may this be the thump upside the head

nudge I need to actually use it :)

It is fitting for the hope of a new year and not just in name only.

I am aiming for a year of wonder and goals and surprises!

I also used Lindy's Gang Magicals to incorporate a burst of colors

and love how they married together to do their own thing.

And,

I already have the next 2 months made for February and March

and they are .......... dare I say ....... weird.

But so am I, tee hee! 😂

My friends Jeanette and Barb posted on their blogs.

I'm sure it will be a fun year ahead!

Thanks for stopping by!

Once More in '24 ~ November

 Hi friends!

It's the time of year where I debut my

 FAVORITE

  personal challenge -

One Plus Twelve!

This is the 6th year of my card challenge

where I take ONE stamp (and only one stamp!)

and make a card TWELVE times (once a month on the 3rd).

The idea came from my wish to extend the use of the stamps,

bought and often used only once ~ why not challenge yourself

to see how many different ways!

For 2024, I chose Pink and Main's Wildflowers stamp.

Here's November:

This stamped image is so versatile.

It's so beautiful and a fun way to get more birthday/

thinking of you, etc cards.  I did add a ready made sentiment

using a Tim Holtz sentiment.

My friends Barb and Jeanette are joining me

again this year in the challenge

as we have done for the past 6 years.

This year, I decided to call One Plus Twelve

by a cute catch phrase for 2024

Once More in '24 ...

every month on the 3rd!

This is the 6th year of my card challenge

where I take ONE stamp (and only one stamp!)

and make a card TWELVE times (once a month on the 3rd).

The idea is came to me in the middle of the night

(where my best ideas always pop up!)

for a way to stretch the use of our supplies

Often, I'd buy and use a stamp - just once -

so this is a way to creatively use them again, twelve different ways.

For 2024, I chose Wildflowers by Pink and Main :)

I love flowers picked right out of the wild

and I love the wonder of the versatility of this set!

I used my Altenew half pans to watercolor a panel

in bright, cheerful colors.

Once dry, I stamped the wildflower stamp

and ran it through my die cutting machine.

I added it to a solid white embossed background

and popped up a Tim Holtz label maker sentiment and dots.

One Plus Twelve - November!

Hey friends!

Today's post is the November edition of

my One Plus Twelve card challenge.

Here is the original post from 2019 when I had this epihpany

and this is my 5th year of this challenge :)

I've mentioned before - and it bears repeating ~

this is my absolute favorite challenge that I do!

For 2023, I am using Waffle Flower Crafts Larkspur ~

a truly unique and beautiful stamp and die set.

Here is my November One Plus Twelve card:

This month, I went with a collage-y style card creation

and sort of channeled my favorite Disney ride:  Haunted Mansion.

I was going for an October-just-ended-haunted-black-and-white vibe

and ended up with this collage style grey, black and white look!

I DID color the flower - LOL!

I went with a grey scale to let the muted collage colors flow.

Since this photo, I did add a pink strip off to the left ~

I'll try to add another photo today :)

I invited my friends Barb and Jeanette to join me

in this adventure in 2019 and I'm happy to share

we'll be returning in 2024 for year 6!

Be sure to check out their cards today
or somewhere near this date :)

Thanks for stopping by!

The ONE new in '22 ~ April!

Hi friends!

Today's card is for my One Plus Twelve card series ~

 my FAVORITE!

This year, in 2022, I chose Pink Fresh Studio's Butterfly.

This month, I've used a leftover background piece

from a recent acrylic paint pour that I did.

My granddaughter and I made a pot for her other abuela!

The paint that lands in the box from the paint pour is amazing!

I used several sheets of watercolor paper to 'sop it up'

and after it dried, used it for amazing stamped images.

You can see the video here!

I double die cut the center of my card and added one butterfly

to the base

and one to the top popped up on foam.

The outer layers of my card are intentionally plain and white

since the focal image is super busy with rich colors and paint.

I added a few gold enamel dots for an extra pop!

Love how this turned out!

Be sure to see what Barb and Jeanette have created

this month, too!

The sentiment is from a sentiment strip by CZ Designs -

love it when they are done for me :)

Here's a final look:

That's it for this post, my friends!

Thanks for stopping by!

The ONE new in '22 ~ March!

Hi friends!

I'm still here!

It's been 1000% overdrive on maximum velocity in our family

and I can't seem to catch a break.

Not to craft and make cards like I'd like ~

and I'm just barely able to keep up with my YouTube channel

commitments and collaborations but it's FUN FUN FUN!

AND

I'm absolutely loving the entries to my birthday challenge giveaway

 and seeing everyone's talent!

My goodness, everyone is a crafty superstar!

I have a card share today that was to be posted March 3rd ...

but at least it's still March!

This is for my One Plus Twelve card series that is my FAVORITE!

Shhhhhh.

Don't tell my other cards that :)

This year, in 2022, I chose Pink Fresh Studio's Butterfly.

This month, I am using a scrap of quilt like designer paper

that was just barely enough to complete a card.

I feel VERY accomplished that I was able to use an entire 12 x 12

sheet of paper to make quite a few crafty items, like this card:

And if you peep the orchids in the background,

those are from my daughter's high school graduation!

She is now 25 and moved into her own condo ~

and they are still going strong <3

If you'd like to see the video of this card,

you can stop by my channel here!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Crafty hugs,

Kelly

The ONE new in '22 ~ February!

Hello friends!

Today's card is for my One Plus Twelve card series

where if you've been following my blog,

you'll know this one is my FAVORITE ever!

This is my 4th year doing this series and you can start here  :)

I take ONE stamp (and only ONE)

and use it TWELVE times, each month on the 3rd.

The idea:  We pay a lot of our stamps, dies + supplies!

Often, they get used once and filed away, never to be seen again

so this way, you'll stretch the use of those stamp to the utmost!

This month's stamp is Pink Fresh Studio Butterflies

and just love how fresh and gorgeous it is!

For February, I decided to do some paper piecing and stamp onto the

designer paper from Doodlebug Designs.

I wanted something this month to reflect the month of love <3

I added a sentiment to the inside of the card

from the same stamp set:

My 2 friends Jeanette and Barb have joined me again this year

in this series and you can see their cards on their blogs, too.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Be blessed,

Kelly

One Plus Twelve - June

 Hi friends!

I'm sorry I'm late ....

I saw a dog! :)

LOL!

My daughter has that on a shirt and it just makes me smile

each time I see it - it's SO HER!

No one loves pups as much as her and I tell ya -

she will have a houseful one day if she's not kept an eye on :)

So I am late ...... for my One Plus Twelve card challenge.

I usually post on the 3rd of every month - oops!

It's my favooooooooooorite card challenge that I do

and this year, I've chosen my favorite flower: Magnolias!

This year's image is from Altenew

and I love finding creative ways to use it each month - like this one.

I've paired it with the Pink and Main dies that you've seen on my blog

quite a bit.  I used them together this time to make a frame

and stamped the image with hues of purple.

And that's my card!

Thanks for stopping by!

One Plus Twelve - April

 Hi friends!

Happy Easter ~ He is Risen!

I hope today is a sweet day for you all :)

My card today is for my April card challenge called One Plus Twelve.

It's where I take one stamp

- and just one -

and use it creatively twelve different ways!

The stamp I chose for 2021 is Altenew's Build-a-flower Magnolia

and this is my April card

I love coming up with creative ways to use this ONE stamp!

Sometimes it's hard not to stamp it twice or repeat stamp

but I am personally sticking to the challenge

and just using the magnolia once.

There are so many techniques and ways to create a card.

I love that it's a challenge to be so out of the box creative

AND keep the intrigrity of the challenge :)

For April, I'm using a technique called Wrinkle Free Distress

(you can see how it gets it's name here)

Instead of using the distressed background as just that,

I stamped directly to the background and die cut the flower out of it.

And that's my card :)

If all goes well, my May card is already thought out and planned!

One Plus Twelve - February

Hi friends!

Today, I've got the blues ...

as in blue inks, blue paint, blue cardstock!

February is usually all about the reds,

but my card today is a wintery, shimmery pop of blue.

This is my February card for my One Plus Twelve card challenge ~

where each year I pick just one stamp, use it twelve times!

The idea was a creative way to stretch my stamps

and not just use them 'one and done.'

2021's stamp is Altenew's Build-A-Flower Magnolia,

my very VERY favorite flower :)

My card had a little outfit change.

I started with the card base and stamped the magnolia onto vellum:

I was most unimpressed!

I knew immediately it was a mistake and thought this card was done :(

Once you glue vellum done, it rips the paper taking it off.

I quickly stamped out another magnolia onto vellum (again)

and also one on white cardstock - neenah solar white.

I used my markers to color the white cardstock

and placed the new vellum on top of it - to give it a subtle look.

The sentiment is from anothe Altenew sentiment stamp set

and could not be more true for me.

These words were just calling my heart!

This is my 3rd year doing this fun challenge ~

and my friends Barb and Jeanette are joining me, too.

I love all the tags I've gotten so far of people telling me they

are joining in ~ it's a thrilling experience to choose 'the one'

and find so many different and creative ways to use the same stamp!

I found a new to me stamp company last month

and, if I'm still doing this challenge,

I may have already found my stamp for next year ...

11 months early!

Thanks for stopping by!
