I will OWL-ways love you! :)

I'm up on the blog at The Project Bin blog 

where you will see inspirational cards posted during the week!

And if you have been around my blog long enough,

these cuties will look familiar as they are among my faves!

My card today is TREE-mendous ...

 a slimline tree filled with autumn splendor :)

To create this card, I used these stamp sets from The Project Bin:

The pumpkin is from Eat Pie, the owls and branch stamps are from New Leaf and the sentiment (top part masked off) from Pumpkin Spice!

All of those together created this beautiful tree card!

To create the background (inside) I used a watercolor panel

that I created using my Altenew watercolor brushmarkers in sunkissed, paper bag and fresh lemon.

Once it was dry, I stamped the sentiment with Lawn Fawn Walnut ink

and assembled my card.

I already have a second one in the works that I'm super excited about ~

you'll see that one on October 12th!

The Project Bin ~ Snuggle up!

Hi friends!

Happy Tuesday!

It sure is hot outside and my card may seem a little .... out of season :)

But ..... 

it's Christmas in July!

It's also the day I post on The Project Bin blog!

Denise, owner and creative mind behind this stamp company,

has been busy designing some wonderful new stamping goodies :)

And today ~ Denise is debuting a brand. new. stamp. set!

It's simply out of this world!  

It's called Milky Way and it's absolutely adorable and now available in the shop.

Now that's far out!

 

 

For my card today, I'm sharing the 'scraps' that were on my desk 

from this weekend's cardmaking mess creating!

Christmas in July - continues!

 For today's card, I'm using one of my favorite winter set:  North Pole.

 I love the look of rustic Christmas cards ~

blues and browns and cranberry colors ♥

I've used a leftover piece of designer paper from Suzy's card kit

and heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder. 

The final touch was a few crystal gems added for extra bling!

 I'm pretty sure this card will be for my husband this year ♥

Hello, sweet friends!

My children have the day off from school/college

so it's nice to enjoy a Monday morning NOT stuck in gridlock traffic! :)

This thumbs up is one of the stamps in the newest The Project Bin stamps ~

it's called The Gratest.

It's a fun play on words in this super pun-ny stamp set!

For most of us, we use social media to connect to family, friends, loved ones.

The easiest way for us to all stay connection:

places like Facebook, of course!

 

When I saw this thumbs up 'favorites list' stamp, my first impression

was  ... that's like my top 10 most used emojis!

My top most used emoji ...

the praying hands, followed by the heart eyes ♥♥

How about you?!

I chose to use it with this beautiful family paper ~

listing all of the special people that are/were in our lives 

that we most likely stay connected to.

And I'm so glad to have a blog to connect with all of you!

Crafting on the Go: Vacation vibes :)

 

Hi friends!

We're in full vacation mode over here on the Gulf of Mexico!

It's absolutely stunning here on the other side of Florida with the

gorgeous pink and purple sunsets, crystal blue water and sugar sand beaches ♥
We've been enjoying the fabulous sunshine and gorgeous weather :) 

My daughter and I visited a beautiful private island yesterday
and I brought along some card making items for 'Crafting on the Go.' 
I've been diligently keeping up with The Daily Marker
 and I also needed to make my cards for The Project Bin so they traveled with me!

My inspiration for these cards was looking out into the ocean
writing in the sand and watching the waves wash it away ♥

The idea behind my card was to create with limited supplies.
I made sand and water and sunsets by simply using the wide tip markers
and making streaks across the cardstock in varied colors.
Once they were dry, I used my mini misti to stamp the sentiments from
the fabulous #bff stamp set.

The idea is it might not be what you normally would create,
but that you CAN create - be inspired by your surroundings ♥ 

These cards are clean and simple because it was impossible
to bring designer papers, the cuttlebug, dies!
I used limited supplies and created an linear type art for the base card.
Piet Mondrian would be so proud! :)

All photos were taken when we returned to the resort.
 We have a few more adventures planned and then head for home Tuesday :(
Always the hardest part about vacations - the ending!

The Project Bin ~ Kinda Sorta ...

Hi everyone!

I'm kinda sorta (absolutely!) on Cloud 9!
My husband and I were so lucky to have tickets
to see Andrea Bocelli last night at the Arena here in Miami.
Oh.  Be.  Still.  My.  Heart!
I'm a VERY big fan ~ following his music journey through the years,
and this was my 3rd time seeing him perform live.
Enchanting ♥
And his surprise guest was the one and only Kristin Chenoweth!

I've seen her on Broadway and adore her ~

she was both mesmerizing and hilarious!

I'm so blessed ~ I have the best husband truly ♥

Okay, I guess I should get to my card :)
Today I'm sharing my latest card with The Project Bin 
Exciting news .... there are 2 new stamp sets  
and they are already available for purchase.
I'm using one of those today ~ Kinda Sorta
and I made a quick and easy shaker card!

One things I love - LOOOOOVE - about Valentine's Day cards
is non-traditional colors!  Not sure why, but I think it's just so groovy
to see Vday cards in purple and orange and blue!
So when I stamped out the Kinda Sorta stamp in Hero Arts inks,
I knew I was going in that direction.
I added a simple frame acetate to the back of my dsp striped frame,
cut from a square die, and glue the stamped image to the back as a focal point.
Before sealing the last edge, I added in some multi colored sequins 
in coordinating colors and added to my card base.

The last little touch was cutting out a gold heart with a die.
Since the sentiment is so bold and a wonderful focal point,
I decided not to decorate the inside of this card (gasp! LOL!)

First, Happy New Year and welcome 2018!
I'll have my chosen Word of the Year post up later today,
but first ~  there's this!

  I am so excited to write about this new series on my blog!

It's something I thought about introducing early last year
but the timing was never right ... until now :)

This is a series of weekly blog posts that I'll simply call:

F.Y.I ~  Find Your Inspiration ♥

This series of weekly posting will all be "inspired by..."

From planning creative ways to use paper crafts to crafting mishaps,

from fun self-challenges to stamp hacks,
from wish lists and more ~ the inspiration is the truly endless!

 Since this is the first post in the series, 
and it's my day to post for The Project Bin stamps,
I'll show you what inspired my card today.

This one little notebook.
While out shopping, I spotted it on the shelf and thought:
that would make a beautiful card.

Using cardstock on hand, and striped paper from Hobby Lobby,
I created the A2 card base and smaller insert with a scallop die.
I stamped/heat embossed the sentiment from the Awesome-sauce stamp set
 with white embossing powder on pink cardstock to match the notebook.
After it was dry, I ran it through the cuttlebug with a die for the scrolled shape.
Then, I added twine, popped the focal image up on 3d foam 
and added some colorful gems in similar colors to the notebook.

You can see this on The Project Bin blog along with 
other stamps and photos in the galleries.

I chose this sentiment specifically from The Project Bin because
whatever goals or resolutions or intentions the new year brings,
it's so wonderful to be your true self.
