TPB: Yello friends!

Yello friends!

That's like hello - only better!
It's a greeting with extra cheer and zest :)

And a great big THANK YOU to Denise,
owner and creator of The Project Bin stamps ~ like the one I'm using today.
I've been so very sick
which really stinks because I have some wonderful news to share soon :(
I had to pull a card from my gallery at Splitcoaststampers from VSN
and in true fashion to her sweetness,
Denise said 'No worries', exuding to her amazing kindness!

It's probably no secret that I love
~ LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE ~
citrus!
Grapefruits, oranges, lemon, limes - YUM!
I love the fruit, juices and even use it quite often in cooking.
We are very blessed that many years ago, we planted lemon/lime
and sour orange trees in our backyard so supply is always on hand.

For my card, I did some watercoloring
with my Altenew watercolor brush markers.
I am over the moon in love with these!
Since the VSN theme when I made this card back was fruit,
I stamped the lemon and slices in a random fashion to showcase that.

I'm a BIG BIG BIG fan of the loose watercoloring ~
not going all the way to the lines
and just letting the water and paint do their own thing organically.
I don't (always) force the color to the lines ...
and probably why I'm a fan of artists like John Marin
an American Modernism artist who painted this

John Marin, Brooklyn Bridge, 1912

Back to my card!
I used the stamp set Yello and stamped the images in a random order.
Because the colors were so vivid and bright,
I stamped the coordinating sentiment in black and white for contrast.
The image is stamped and watercolored on #120 white cardstock
and cut with a Spellbinders die set.
The final piece is the designer paper from Stampin' Up!

I did have an OOPS! with this card ...
can you see it?
eeeek!

You can see all what the design team creates all week on the blog,
as well as check out the galleries when you click on each stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Big hugs, bigger blessings!

The Project Bin: When life gives you lemons .........

Take them!
Free stuff is good!
 :)

Happy Monday, friends!
I'm on the blog today at The Project Bin
with a zesty, citrus card that just makes me smile!
I'm channeling thoughts of sunshine, cool sips of lemonade
and lazy summer days ♥

And I'm also playing along with 30 day coloring challenge this month -
we're up to day 18!
This card will join the entries for Kathy R's coloring challenge here.

I adore the stamps and dies at The Project Bin
and very blessed to be on the Design Team ♥
Denise, owner and designer, is always on the creative edge
and we're super excited to have some wonderful new stamps being released!
Woohoo!

For today's card, I'm using one of my faves:  Yello!
I adore - ADORE - citrus!
I add lemon/limes to my water and diet coke, love desserts like lemon bars
and adding mandarins and citrus dressings to my salads :)
I think if I could add it my Starbucks, I'd have it there, too - LOL!

I created my card by stamping/cutting the lemon and lemon slices
and coloring them with Azure markers.
To add a little bit of color to the card, I used 3 colors in lemon, lime, grapefruit.
The sentiment was added to the top as a contrast to the busy-ness
of the fruits at the bottom,
and matching enamel dots were added to complete the look.
The finished base was framed using Avery Elle's wonky scallop die
and added textured citrus cardstock from Bazzill.

And that's my card - easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Be sure to stop over at The Project Bin shop to see the fun stamp sets.
If you click on each stamp photo, it will take you to a gallery
where inspirational cards are for you to view.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

Mondays with The Project Bin ~ Lemon Shaker!

Hi friends!

For all my friends that are moms, grandmas, aunties, etc ~
I hope yesterday was a wonderful day for you all!

Even though this is a busy season of life for us,
with each of the little squares on the calendar filled in
with notes and appointments and meetings and places to be,
I feel so incredibly blessed to be called mommy by 4 ♥

 Children are God’s love-gift; they are heaven’s generous reward.  – Psalm 127:3

It's Monday, which means it's time for another card featuring The Project Bin :)
I'm showing you the YELLO! stamp set again today,
and this time in the form of a shaker card.

I call this one ........... Lemon Shaker!
I've created a different kind of shaker card ~ this one using the lemon/lime slices
from the stamp set inside the acetate window box.

Here it is, 'shaken ... not stirred'

This is truly one of the most fun stamp/die sets I've 'played with' to date.
The possibilities are just endless.

You can find this set and more by heading over to TPB shop,
and see many card samples on the Inspiration blog.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

Mondays with The Project Bin - YELLO!

Happy Monday, friends!

Our normally quiet neighborhood got a lot of activity
this weekend with construction in the area.
4 flat tires already this year (thanks to those nails!) and now ....
no internet!

Bah.  Humbug!

I took advantage of the non-internet and went back to the good 'ol days - LOL!
I did some spring cleaning in my walk-in closet for clothing donations,
organized and repackaged my stamps,
and ironed all of dh's work shirts - a chore I detest! :)

But the exciting news!
Mondays are the days I post my card for The Project Bin,
and today is a new stamp/die release day!
*YAY!*
This landed in my mailbox literally hours ago ~
you might even have heard the squeal :)

I tried a new technique on this card .... multi-masking.
I've done masking on cards but this was multi layered and great fun.
I stamped out the fruits in varied angles, masking them as I went along,
and then continued stamping.
These images were perfect in the upright position in the MISTI ~
hence, the almost never seen on my blog side fold card :)
I cannot wait to ink this set up again!

You can see this set on the blog today from the wonderful
Denise herself made this beauty!
It's super fun, super vibrant and a perfectly cheery card.

Thanks for stopping by tonight ♥
Be sure to stop by TPB blog all week for more inspiration!

Big hugs, Bigger blessings!
