Let's hit the beach!

Hi friends!

Today is a fun day ~

It's a beach day!

This card is for Week 5 of the Summer Inspired card hop

organized by The Kellys!

(That would be my sweet friend Kelly on Instagram and moi!)

How it works:

Each week, we have a summer theme where you chose

1 or the other OR combine both if you'd like.

For Week 5, Kelly (the other one!) has chosen BBQs or favorite activity.

One of my favorite things is a trip to the beach!

I could be there all day every day if i could! :)

There's something so incredibly relaxing about a lounge chair

under the shade of an umbrella watching the waves.

Add in a good book and it's absolute bliss!

This random photo I took outside while photographing cards

shows our gorgeous Florida weather!

The sky's are crystal blue and everything here is so green.

HOT HOT HOT but that's typical here :)

Wishing you a day filled with all of your favorites!

Lots of love,
Kelly

Ready, Set, Go - Body Parts!

Hi friends!

Today's card is for the Ready, Set, Go monthly card group

where we take turns coming up with extreme card challenges.

This month, it was my turn and I chose a theme

that I thought of (like most of my ideas) at 2 am-ish :)

APRIL RSG THEME:  Body Parts!

Last year, I had news that I needed  medical hip surgery.
Although I was bummed, I turned that frown upside down by thinking - let's make the best of it and have some fun with body parts!

Your challenge this month is to create a card using a
(as in one, SINGLE) body part.  You may chose any stamp company/image you like but it can only show one body part.  And because we're creative and often use the rule of 3's, let's take it up a notch!  Your body part can only be on 1/3 of the card!  The other 2/3 of the space you can use however you like, or not at all, and use whatever papers, EF, techniques, etc you like. You may also include one sentiment. Think outside the box, get as creative as you like and most of all, have fun - now let's get Ready, Set, GO!

Ready: For my card, I am using Birthday Bear

from Gerda Steiner Designs stamp and die set.

I'm using the ONE arm that's holding the balloon.

Set: For my 1/3, I've measured out the square and it's a folded 1/3

(in other words, if you stretch it out straight, it's an equal part).

Go: I've added a matching sentiment  to the front of the panel.

I colored the image with my copic markers

and popped the front panel and arm/hand up with 3d foam.

This turned out to be a lot harder than I expected

but it was a lot of fun :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Day 3/10 ~ Happy BEE-day!

Hi friends!

It's my husband's birthday this weekend

so we are in full *celebration* mode!

He's such an incredible man and

does such amazing work for others in need ~

we are happy to celebrate him AND finally take some time off work! :)

It's also Day #3 of The Daily Marker 10 Day coloring challenge.

I won't be making full cards this time around but

I do have a theme for the first time:  Things With Wings!

I thought that would be a different and fun approach this time

and you can follow my coloring on my Instagram daily posts :)

Here is my card for the 3/10 days of coloring:

For this card, I've used MFT Stamps "Meant to BEE" stamps

and my Brother Scan N Cut to die cut the images.

After creating a card base,

I used a stitched circled die from Simon Says  Stamp

to create a background circle from the designer paper.

The images are colored with copic caio makers

and there's a light dusting of Wink of Stella on the bees wings.

My card is a little on the simple side but I colored not created

and it's for the Inspiration Challenge at SCS this week.

And that's my card!

Thanks for stopping by today and

I'll see you soon!

Merry Christmas!

 Hello beautiful friends!

Wishing you the Merriest Christmas, from my home and heart to yours!

I am SO VERY blessed to know so many of you through blogging

and wish you all the wonderful things for 2021!

Christmas has a fun, whimsical tone in our house.

We chose a theme each year and 2020 was "The North Pole,"

so naturally my card for a special guy in my life was a fun one!

I fell IN LOVE with this gnome in a truck stamp set

from Simon Says Stamp and just knew when I saw it - that's the one!

I colored it with prismacolor markers and added it to a fun background.

I wasn't able to get the dies so there was a hole lot of fussy cutting!

Stay safe out there friends while

visiting with your loved ones and sharing this holiday together.

Big hugs, bigger blessings :)

Growing in Unity - Day 2: cozy socks and warm cuppas!

Hi friends!

*Note: This is my 2nd post today-
for my The Project Bin card, please see  this post!*

It's Day 2 of the very exciting Growing In Unity stamp showcase week!
While tomorrow's card is layers upon layers,
today I'm showing you a clean and simple style card.

I love it when the image is the focal point and the clean space
really lets you see so much detail!

For today's card, I'm using Specially Warm - the cozy and comfy
stamp that many of us can relate to, I'm sure :)

Warm coffee or tea?
Sweaters and fuzzy socks?
A good book?

Yes, please!

Here's how I created this CAS card.
I stamped the image and the sentiment with my MISTI
and ran it through the Gemini Jr with a stitched die.
I colored the image with copic markers and
attached it to brown cardstock to finish.

This card is quick and simple yet so sweet.
From moms to sisters to the very best friends,
this card is versatile and sweet enough for all!

You can find this stamp here in the shop.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Remember to leave a comment so I can find you, too!

Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

Happy International Coffee Day!

Hi friends!

Today is a REALLY fun and awesome day to celebrate ~
 one I like a latte!
Today is a day to celebrate COFFEE!!

That's my blood type!  I swear it.

While I knew about and celebrate National Coffee Day,
I was today years old when I heard on the radio
that it's International Coffee Day!

 To which I say ...

Cheers!

My card today is using My Favorite Things
This stamp set stole my heart!

I stamped/cut the critters and then colored them roughly
with Copics and popped them up on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam.
The background is a simple sky piece that I made
with my Ranger Distress oxide inks and the MFT Cloud Stencil.
I ran the panel through my gemini jr with a stitched die
for this simple, clean one layer card.
And the sentiment is also from teh Sweater Weather set.

This set has endless possibiilities!
I know I'll use it often ♥

 Thanks for stopping by!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥
