A Year of Peace ~ February

 Hi friends!

My word for 2025 is Peace

(you can read all about that here if you like!)

and this is my February PEACE-ful creation 💓

One of my goals for this year was to find my way back

to finding what brings me joy and inner peace.

Cardmaking is definitely on that list!

I wanted to create a that reflected peace in some way

and decided to have fun with some primitive crows!

They are now ............ winter cardinals!

I envisioned a serene, peaceful, calm snowy winter scene.

I chose several @Whimsy Stamps for this one:

* A Murder Of Crows die set +

* Snowy Trees die set
(which is one sale right now!)

I did light watercoloring and die cut the trees

and paint splattered the background for faux snow.

My monthly card group that I was invited to join

had a theme to create a Christmas card with a matching envelope

and I carried over the designer paper (the crows)

to the inside of the card and as an envelope flap, safe for mailing.

Looking at it now, again, it seems 'unfinished.'

Since the Merry Christmas is on the inside,

I didn't put much thought

into a message being missing from the front.

I'm second guessing that now but now it's out there, LOL!

SNOW much fun!

Hi friends!

Today's card is SNOW much fun!

This beary cute card was created using Whimsy Stamps

and I made it for my sweet little granddaughter!

She wants to see snow (just like me!)

and we hope this year for the holidays to make it happen :)

To create this card, I used the adorable Sheltering Love

stamp and die set and colored it with my copic markers.

The gorgeous pink frame was created using the Notched Rectangle dies

as well as the gorgeous pink snowflake paper called Blurry Flurries!

Thanks for stopping by!

Are you Nutty or Nice?

Hi friends!

It's hard to believe it's almost October!
It's so hot here in Miami ...
I think I'll skip right to winter! :)

Did you pick up any fun stamps during Simon Says Stamps
I was lucky to pick up a few treasures ~
like the darling Lawn Fawn Nutty or Nice set!

Are you nutty?  or nice?
Nutty here!
I smiled HUGE when I saw this darling stamp set!
It reminds me of some of the nuts in my family tree ...
and probably a few friends, too!
 Hee Hee!

Jumping right in with a monochrome colored card ~
keeping it light and fresh
with blues and whites and greys.

I left the inside uncolored but with the fun Christmas sentiment ~
nice and simple!

It's nice to have one card done ahead of time for the holidays ~
and I already know where this one is headed :)
I'll enter this into Simon Say Stamps Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

Here Ye, Here Ye - Big News!

Hi friends ♥

It's been awhile since I've been able to post and visit :(
Our youngest daughter has been gravely ill,
in and out of countless doctor's offices and the hospital several times.
She's finally showing improvement
and we pray that she's on the uphill side of the battle.
I can't thank you enough for the words of encouragement and prayer!

Onward to my card!
It's good to be back in the Cabana!
Had to 'dust off' a few things out there and look to see where
everything wandered off to, including today's
3 Musketeer Mystery image - whew!

Jeanette was the hostess this month, with an image from a company
I'm not familiar with, Kenny K digital/stamps.
What a unique image, one I confess I had no idea what to do with!
So this is my humble card offering with the image,
and you can see what Jeanette and Barb have made with it, too!

Since the News Kid image was all about the arrival of snow,
I added the prismacolor marker colored image
to a card base of winter/snow dsp - Crate Paper's
'Bundled Up' stack, a seriously YUMMY paper pad!
You may notice the fire hydrant is propped up 3D
because I made a total mess under with a blob of marker
because it looks really cool that way!
  Hee hee!! *wink!*
Thank you, Jeanette, for providing this fun image this month!

Big Hugs, Bigger Blessings!

Winter Wonderland :-)

Happy New Year's Eve!!

Wishing you an abundance of blessings for the New Year - 2013 is just hours away and I pray that the year ahead brings you many good things!

I have a two-fold card today - both the Calendar Girls and the Crafters of Faith cards were 'snow much fun' winter wonderland cards so I managed to fit both challenges into one card!  Yay me!
I found this gorgeous picture on the web and wish this was my backyard!
I asked the Calendar Girls to use this photo as their muse this month:

 and my card:

and the inside of the card:

and since the Crafters of Faith are to make a card using snow and glitter/glitz to bring in the New Year, I added lots of white shimmery glitter to the snow!
I used the SU! set Sleigh Bells Ring and kept the blue color through-out the card theme including with the ink (love that Marina Mist!) Of course I had to decorate my card inside and use some buttons to finish it up! :)

Please be sure to visit the Crafters of Faith AND the Calendar Girls and you can find them on my side-bar - they have been quite crafty this month and have "snow much" to share with you!

Big hugs,
Bigger Blessings and
Happy New Year!
