Stand by you!

Hi friends!

Today I'm flying by with a bright and fun flamingo card!

Where you flamingo, I go! :)

There's just something about bright, fun, whimsical

colors that brings me such joy!

I created this one after a wonderful family vacation

and captured the view I saw in my memory.

The sunset, the colors, the flamingos!

This card features Lawn Fawn 'flamingo together'

along with LF designer paper.

I've also added in some watercoloring behind the birds

and distress ink waves under them!

Thanks for stopping by!

Like at the lake pier!

Hi friends!

Today's card is a trip to the lake!

By now I've already made it to our last vacation before

our busy family has a return to college

and a move to a new home!

We are so excited for the big changes happening in our family

and know that God's blessings always surround us :)

For this card, I'm channeling Lake Life!

This is one of my favorite Hero Arts kits (June 2023)

paired with an older stamp set pier at the lake.

It was recently the anniversary of my dad's birthday in heaven.

Not a single day ever ever never goes by that he doesn't cross my mind.

And I channeled him when I was creating this card - in the best way!

I have such fond memories of living in North Florida

and he took us often to the neighboring lakes to fish, snorkel

and even attempt to water ski behind our boat!

We would often see these exact sunsets as well :)

Using distress oxide inks, I blended a background in sunset-y colors

and stamped out the images fussy cutting some, die cutting others!

I'm SO in love with how this card came out -

much like the memories I hold dear to heart!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lots of love!

Get Well Soon!

Hi friends!

Today's Get Well Soon card is for a dear friend

and I needed to make her a card Toot Sweet!

I made this one AND got it in the mailbox in under 10 minutes.

Before I continue, I wanted to share that my friend Toni and I

have a YouTube collab every Friday called #funcardfriday and

Here is the link to my channel and we've love to see what YOU make!

SO!

Ya'll know me by now - my cards are pretty packed

and I rarely make a CAS card.

NOT that I don't love 'em - I do, I do!

I just tend to go for the gusto and pile a lot onto a card

and to do anything less looks like I didn't try (in my eyes!)

So I grabbed my Pure Innocence from MFT Stamps

and inked it up and colored it with my copics.

I added another mftstamps sentiment from a prayer set.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Lots of love,

Kelly

Let's hit the beach!

Hi friends!

Today is a fun day ~

It's a beach day!

This card is for Week 5 of the Summer Inspired card hop

organized by The Kellys!

(That would be my sweet friend Kelly on Instagram and moi!)

How it works:

Each week, we have a summer theme where you chose

1 or the other OR combine both if you'd like.

For Week 5, Kelly (the other one!) has chosen BBQs or favorite activity.

One of my favorite things is a trip to the beach!

I could be there all day every day if i could! :)

There's something so incredibly relaxing about a lounge chair

under the shade of an umbrella watching the waves.

Add in a good book and it's absolute bliss!

This random photo I took outside while photographing cards

shows our gorgeous Florida weather!

The sky's are crystal blue and everything here is so green.

HOT HOT HOT but that's typical here :)

Wishing you a day filled with all of your favorites!

Lots of love,
Kelly

3M: Friends at first sip!

 Hey friends!

Today's card is for the 3M card group,

also known as being the 3 Musketeers and that would be

Barb, Jeanette and myself!

We take turns every 3 months being a hostess,

stamping and mailing an approved image to each other

and we all create a card based solely on that one image.

This month - for August - Jeanette was up

and she sent us this darling coffee girl!

I paired it with a fun backround stenciled with watercolor

and added a sentiment from MFT stamps.

Be sure to see what Jeanette and Barb

created with this same stamp!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lots of love,
Kelly

Scuba your way through summer!

Hi friends!

It's almost the weekend ~ yasssss!

Today's card is a fun-in-the-summer scuba card

that I'll send to my son :)

You can see the video here on my YouTube channel:

This was such a fun card to make!

I started with a watercolor panel background using Altenew half pans.

While it was drying, I stamped/die cut the images from

a couple of Lawn Fawn stamp sets to create this under the sea scene.

And those cute little clouds tucked into the corner,

it was the view as if looking up :)

I used my copic markers to color the images

and just love the bold, whimiscal colors this beholds.

That's it for now!

Lots of love!

It's a salty penguin party!

 Hi friends!

Happy Fri-yay!

We made it to the weekend!

Today's card will be heading to my granddaughter

so I combined two things:  something fun and the color pink!

I love love LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this background!

I did some watercoloring one evening

and just made a ton of backgrounds.

This one includes the background sunset and the sand,

both textured with watercolor and salt.

{talk about a Hot Mess!}

This sweet little penguin is holding a yummy cool treat.

My cardmaking friends on IG had a theme this week

of weddings or ice cream so I went with the later.

It's a cherry creamsicle - that's mah story and I'm sticking to it! :)

I usually dress up the inside of my cards as well

and just never show them ~ but this one was too cute not to share!

Speaking of heat and melting,

be safe out there!

It's sooooooo hot - I hope you are staying cool and staying safe!

Lots of love,

~Kelly

Christmas in July!

 Hi friends!

I have a quick post today!

I'm juggling cards, social media, work and packing luggages! Whew!

What's more fun that Christmas?

Christmas in July!

Because it means we get the holidays TWICE!

Here's a card I made for a super duper fun IG hop with crafty friends!

The theme was ornaments ............

as you can see, I follow directions REAL GOOD! :)

(In my defense, there ARE ornaments on the card - LOL!)

I used the adorable Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp

Stamptember set with a watercolor background.

I love these adorable little sloths.

I learned last week that my little granddaughter is starting

a new preschool and they have adopted a sloth from Australia!

They will watch it on the monitor and receive mail from the center.

So cuuuuute!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lots of love,

~Kelly

You're Mermazing!

Hi friends!

I hope you are doing mermazing!

I'll be running errands and picking things up this week

for our big trip - woohoo!

I'm swimming by with today's card that

has so much creativity

in all the stitches, nooks and crannies.

The background ~ watercolored with Simon Hurley Creates lunar paste!

Watch for the video on my YouTube channel this week ~

Wow, what messy fun that was!

The images are from Neat and Tangled and

colored with copics for a SHELL-a-bration theme.

I'm in an Instagram card hop with some fintastic friends

and the theme is: shells!

I used a watercolor panel to stamp/die cut a bunch of shells

and layered them on the ocean floor.

I have to save, I'm slightly obsessed with the colors and design

of this card and pleasantly surprised how much I like it!

  Thanks for stopping by!

  Lots of love,

~Kelly

3M: I'm FELINE meow-tivated!

Hi friends!

I have a new card to share with you on the start of a fresh week

and I'm FELINE meow-tivated to craft!

I love LOVE puns and fun play on words

and this one from Newton's Nook is no exception :)

This is my card for the 3M (3 Musketeers) card group

which is Barb, Jeanette and myself.

We have been crafting together with the 3M since November 2014!

Here we go!

We create a card based on the same image.

1 image = 3 different takes!

This month, Barb was the hostess and sent us this adorable

Newton's Nook Crafty Cardio which I just think is so stinkin' cute!

I really wanted to use the crafting is my cardio sentiment

but my die cut slipped so feline meow-tivated it is!

Going forward, my cards will be on my blog (and my Instagram)

and I have a catch up post on 2023's 3M creations as well!

Be sure to stop in Barb's blog and Jeanette's blog

to see what they have created this month.

Thanks for stopping by!

Lots of love,

Kelly

Season's Tweetings!

 Hi tweet friends!

We are offically half way through 2023

which means the holidays will be here like that *snap!*

I'm trying my very best

getting ahead on my Christmas cards this year

one card at a time!

Here's my YouTube if you want to *hear* this post :)

This week, my Instagram friends and I

are creating cards for Themed Fridays.

Our cards are based on a weekly theme

and week 1 is:  Rainbow Christmas!

This one through me for a loop but I perserved

and got out my Lawn Fawn Season's Tweetings stamps and dies,

Ranger distress oxide inks and blended a vibrant background.

Once that was finished, I colored the birdies and branch

with my Copic markers and added a matching sentiment.

You can see more on my Instagram here!

It's definitely a "Kelly card" - vibrant colors and whimsical!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Lots of love,

~Kelly

 Hi!

Happy 4th of July to my USA friends!

I hope your day is filled with wonderment and memories

and, of course, yummy food!

I forgot to post my 1+12 card yesterday

so that will be up tomorrow :)

Today - I'm sharing a festive July 4th inspired card

that I created for my beautiful granddaughter.

She's 4 so I kept it super simple!

The cute stamp is Stacey #celebrate and

she's from Stamp Anniething.

Techniques on Tuesday - Spotlight/Reverse Spotlight

 Hi friends!

Today on my blog I'm sharing 2 cards

using Sketch Flowers by Simon Says Stamp!

As part of my creative week,

I'm introduching Techniques on Tuesdays ~

every other Tuesday.

You can watch the video on YouTube here:

Techniques on Tuesdays is a great way to revisit

cardmaking ideas and techniques that we have have forgotten about.

What's old is new again!

For Episode 1, I've used the spotlight / reverse spotlight technique

and just love the simplicity of how it looks

yet it really has a WOW factor!

Here's card 1:

and card 2:

With the spotlight technique,

I kept the die cut panel where the circles were pulled from.

This way, it's easy to use the panel for a reverse spotlight

and I was able to create a second card.

Easy, unique and in under 10 minutes I created 2 birthday cards!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hey crafty friends!

Hi crafty friends!

Happy Tuesday!

This is typically the day of the week where I'm running in circles!

Here's to a SMOOTH last week in June :)

I'll be adding a lot of photos to my blog in the upcoming weeks,

including my #Onein23 (One Plus Twelve)

and 3 Musketeers (3M) and more.

It will be like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride!

For this card, it's absolutely ME.

Whimisical, bright fun colors and a bit of a mess, LOL!

The theme for this card was for a fun card group

started by my friend Lucy on Instagram.

Her theme was anything geometric

and I immediately thought of circles - AND a dog!

Mine often go 'round and 'round and ROUND some more!

This turned out cute, I think!

Lots of love!

~Kelly
