Dancing Dragonflies!

 Hi friends!

Wishing you a wonderful start to your weekend :)

Today, I have a dragonfly card to share with you

for an Instagram card group that I'm in

with a theme of Flutterfly.

Honestly, this card had a mind of it's own!

I had another vision for this card design but that vision

saw itself out of the room, LOL!

So .. back up plan it is and we'll just pretend it was meant to be ..

who's gonna know!

*wink!*

AND PEEP THE FRESH KEY LIMES COMING IN FOR THE SEASON!

oH My HaPPy hEArT!

For this planned card cheerful card today,

I used Your Next Stamp Dancing Dragonflies.

I will miss them in the stamping community!

The little wings are ink blended with 3 different

colors of distress oxides and then hit with a slight paint splatter.

The background (where it went askew!) was ink blended as well

but I had to think of a way to salvage it by using a circle die.

And the gorgeous watercolored flower is from Waffle Flower Crafts.

I've always said dragonflies are my spirit animal.

Although technically it's an insect, in my heart

i. just. know.

And that's it!

Be your own kind of beautiful <3

Thanks for stopping by :)

YIPPEE! Happy Dance!

Hi friends!

I'm pretty sure this was me during the whole Your Next Stamp

May new stamp and die release ...

saying Yippee and dancing around :)

I'm super excited to be up on the blog today at

Your Next Stamp and I'm showcasing this A-DOR-A-BLE

stamp and die set called Home-Stretch!

I used a few scraps of dsp that were previously cut

and still in the pack - and colored this cutie with copic markers.

I continued the theme to the inside and

added the matching sentiment,

and there are so many in this set to use.

This stamp set is BEYOND cute and can make cards upon cards!

You can find Home Stretch and all the stamps and dies

from the May release here in the store

so be sure to check out all the goodies :)

Thanks for stopping by!

I've created an interactive 'swish n pop' card

that is reminiscent of my childhood, watching my brother play.

As the tab is pulled, the sweet ladybug on the baseball

flies over the grounds, straight into out field!

Here's my card and video for you ...

Here is my card as it moves.... starting on the left:

And ends on the right!

Your Next Stamp - Preview Day 3!

Hi friends!

It's Day #3 of the Your Next Stamp new stamp

and die release for May 2021!

I am absolutely DELIGHTED to be a Guest Designer

for this amazing release and super humbled

to be asked to showcase this sensational new release

from Your Next Stamp <3

Today's stamps and dies are very close to being my favorite!

We are on Day 3 but if you'd like to see all the stamps

and dies and Design Team inspiration cards so far,

stop by the blog here and catch up :)

(My Day #2 card can be seen here on my Instagram)

For today's card, I'm channeling summery, tropical colors

inspired by the beautiful toucan.

I'm sharing a card using the Tea Time shaker die set

and the tea time shaker tag stamps with coordinating dies.

They are so so SOOOOO cute!

Here's my shaker card:

I've colored the images of the stamp set to match the cardstock colors

and cut them with my die cutter with the matching dies.

I added a shaker element to the front

and the wonderful sentiment is from the stamp set: Stretch,

which you will be seeing on my blog later this week!

Please hop on over to the blog at YNS and start the previews!

You won't want to miss this absolute cuteness!

Thanks for stopping by!

Your Next Stamp - Preview Day 1!

Hi friends!

I'm super excited to be a Guest Designer for Your Next Stamp!

And there's a fun week ahead!

New Stamps!

New Dies!

Lots of chances to win YNS prizes!

The May 2021 new release arrives in the YNS Store

this Thursday, May 20, 2021.

Today we have the previews  of all the new items on the way

so head over to the YNS blog for the start of the fun!

Today we are showcasing a few of the new stamps and dies

and for my stop on the hop, I'm introducing Go With The Flow.

Oh my ~ how I adore this stamp and die set!

It's super groovy and reminds me so much of my 70's childhood!

I've made 2 cards for you - and a small video !

Here is one of them ...

Card #1:

I've made a reveal wheel lava lamp card

and added the die cut to the cardstock as the changing lava!

I first stamped the lava lamp onto acetate so that I would have a

clear impression of the stamped image for the colors to show through.

When the wheel is turned, the lava flows in a rainbow of colors!

I'll be back tomorrow with another fun card!

Be sure to stop by the YNS Blog and see the new stamps and dies

as well as the designer cards for today's previews.

They are a delight!

Thanks for stopping by!

Mission Impossible - Possible 03.15.21

Hi friends!

For today's card, you may need some sunglasses

- it's BRIGHT!

I hope you're having a great start to your week!

I'm one more day into my exercise/weight loss journey and ...

I'm. Tired.

LOL!

But it's a good kind of tired :)

And ..

it also makes me late for things - like making cards and blogging.

So, let's get into it ...

this card is for the Mission Impossible Possible card challenge

that my fabulous friend, Jeanette, came up with.

Her idea is:

You pick a mystery item and mail it to the others in the group

and we create a card based on that mystery item.

We (Barb, Jeanette and I) had a lot of fun with it last year that we're

doing it again - except we'll take turns chosing/mailing the mystery item!

I was first up this year and mailed out a brand new Pretty Pink Posh

birthday stencil which stole my heart the moment I saw it!

It was HARD to wait to use it but here we are!

Okay, enough ramblin' .....

here is my card, made with distress oxide inks, the stencil

and the super cute stamp set from Your Next Stamp Photo Booth.

I used oxide inks in Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers

since this card will be for a boy and made it fun, cheerful, silly!

And here's the inside:

For the panel that was stenciled with the Pretty Pink Posh birthday,

while the oxides were setting, I spritzed them with water.

It gave it a little more of a mixed looked to the blending.

Barb's card with the stencil is here

and Jeanette's card is here!

This will be a quarterly challenge between us so the next one

will be in a couple of months - and I can't wait :)

One final look - and thanks so much for stopping by!

Your Next Stamp - Guest Designer!

Hi friends!

Today I'm sharing a card over on the blog at Your Next Stamp

 ~ woohoo! :)

I had an absolute blast making cards for the new March stamp release

and Karen (owner) is so incredibly generous and kind

and shipping is really on point!

Make sure to stop by the blog to see if you were a lucky winner :)

Today I'm sharing the darling stamp and die set Spring Smiles

and I created a peek-a-boo card.

The idea behind these types of cards are you have

just a little somethin' on the front

and a bigger reveal as a surprise inside!

And here's the inside!

Since this card is for my mama, I stamped Happy Mother's Day

onto the front and I Miss You to the inside.

Although I saw her all this weekend (she got her Covid shot #1!)

my military brother is stationed somewhere in Latvia so it's from "us."

I used my copic markers to color the sweet images

and added just a small piece of designer paper for the grass.

The reason for the 'grassy hills' is I was going to add the bunny

but had a chance of heart and just added the flowers and butterflies.

Here's a final look ........

You can find these items and more here in the YNS shop

as well as insprational cards all week here on the blog!

Thanks for joining me today and happy crafting :)

Each individual set will go to a randomly selected comment left on the YNS blog,

YNS Designer’s blogs or YNS IG. Leave all your comments by March 3, 2021

at midnight EST, the winners will be announced on March 4th.

And be sure to stop back tomorrow 3/4/2021 for the Blog Hop!

Here is the line up for today's preview:

My card today is using the new stamps and dies from Spring Smiles.

This set is just darling!

Here are a couple of fun announcements and my card to follow

so let's take a peek at Spring Smiles!

                                       Onto my card ....

I've used a distress ink in Tumbled Glass for the background,

blending in an ombre fashion from dark to light.

I used the new domed ink blenders and I purposedly skipped

a few spots while 'swiping' to get a cloudy effect.

For the darling bunny and stamped images, I colored them with copic

markers and added them with a frame by using 2 dies to create it.

And finally, stamped the matching sentiment to the background

and popped it up onto a card base!

Is this the cutest set?

It has an adorable envelope of mail, the sweet bunny,

and the gorgeous watering can of flowers!

I used the watering can and trimmed off the top for this card

to create flowers and added the happy butterfly dancing about!
