You are a Sweet Treat!

Hi everyone - Blessings to you on this wonderful Tuesday! I'm so excited to share this post with you today - it's EXTRA sweet! ;) Today I bring you a project that I was working on when I realized that there are events coming up at my son's school with lots of small tokens of appreciation and "thank yous" and "just because" gifts that will be given out from my son :) And I got to thinking ...... wow, that can really add up!  But you can still craft on a budget, not break the bank and still have fun creating :)

Did you know that with just the right digi, a few scraps of paper and cardstock, you can give out a really nice gift set? It's true! This lovely little candy trio that you are looking at was made with all scrap papers! The only thing to purchase are the sweet lil digis (that you can use over and over again - gifts, cards, scrapbook pages - the possibilities are endless!) and my candy bar @ 69c and tada! Crafting on a budget has never been easier! I went thru my big 'ol scrap pile of paper and was so lucky to find this shimmery dsp from a swap from last year and it was just enough to adorn my cut-up pieces of card stock scraps, misc flowers and ribbon pieces from my remnants jars :) For me, learning to craft on a budget has become essential and I was amazed at how something so small could turn into something so sweet :)

In this set, I've made a small triangular stand up candy and card holder ~ a regular size candy bar fits beautifully inside as it measures 5.5 x 4.25". The candy bar wrapper dimensions are 5 x 2 and the little matching gift tag card is 3 x 3". Easy peasy and oh so sweet! I was able to use the main digi stamp and 2 of the sentiments from the Sweetest Treat digi set, here .....

Isn't it just the sweetest?
And the Harvest/H'ween festivities are just around the corner!!
Thanks for stopping by today!

  Blessings!
~Kelly

  1. What a great set, and so nice to see a project that is not expensive and actually helps save money...with all the challenges there are someone should set one up for these type of projects. Thanks for the ideas :-)

  2. Hi Kelly, what a wonderful gift set. I always like these kind of gifts. They are little, cheap and made with a personally note. The DP fits great to this sweet little bear. Hugs to you !

Love the colors and the backgrounds. Your projects don't look like they were done on a budget.

  7. Kelly, this is fantastic! I love how you created this with scraps, that is just awesome! This is such a special little set, I don't think I could bring myself to eat the chocolate...well, I would sneak it out of that wrapper REALLY carefully, because who can resist chocolate? ;) You did a great job with this project!
