HaPpY HaLLoWeEn!

 HaPpY HaLLoWeEn!

I hope today is a fun one without tricks
and with plenty of treats :)

Today's card is one using another fun image from the
Haunted stamp collection from The Project Bin.
This stamp just makes me laugh!

In fact, I do drive a stick ....
just not on a broom - hee hee!
My sporty red Jeep Wrangler is a stick shift
and it's always great fun to take her out ♥

Today's card, however, is one using traditional
Halloween colors, simple stripes and a geometric design,
I wanted the stamp to be the focal point of the card,
and then added some little orange gems for an extra pop.
The inside is just plain white cardstock
for a quick message .....
so no photo :)

Be safe out there tonight if you are venturing out!
For more card inspirations and stamp shopping,
you can check out all The Project Bin blog
and goodies here in the shop

Leaves are falling ........

Happy weekend, friends!

How I just love autumn!ere in South Florida we don't get a traditional fall ~
leaves changing colors in a burst of oranges and reds and browns,
warm sweaters and a new crisp chill in the air.
But one thing we do get is the promise that all the months
of togetherness and thankfulness and gratitude and celebration
are right around the corner :)

If you haven't already heard of The Project Bin stamps,
you simply MUST go visit the shop and inspiration blog!
The stamps are just fantastic and so versatile
and perfect for your stamping needs this upcoming holiday season.
From Halloween to Thanksgiving, Christmas and beyond ...
all those 'right around the corner' moments!
There is truly something for everyone!

This beautiful fall quote is perfect for my card today :)
"Leaves are falling, Autumn is calling" ♥
I've stamped it in Momento Tuxedo Black right onto the dsp.
I also used a few pieces of fall inspired designer paper
and propped it up with some 3D foam to give the card a little edgier look.
The paper flowers and little orange gems give it just that little extra pop.

Be sure to stop by the store and browse around,
as well as peek at the delicious card samples to give you some inspiration, too!
Be well, friends!

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

DDD - All Things Fall!

Good Morning, friends!

I. am. so.  excited!
 Today is a big day!
There's something that has been on my "bucket list"
for quite some time .. and lucky me,
today it's getting a check mark :)

And what is it, you ask?
It's really "corny!"
Yes - corn!
A real life corn maze ♥

My kids and I are heading to some farmland this afternoon
with honest to goodness pastures and farms and rows and rows of crops.
And tractors.  And cows.  And pumpkins!

Since we are talking pumpkins, todays' card is made from the October
Dueling Darlings themed kit, this one called "All things Fall."
What a fun theme from Kadie and Paola,
and Kadie's kit was just too cute!

My card is using Whipper Snapper stamps and this triple stack
of jack 'o lanterns was colored with my watercolors.
I went with the art class watercolors - very rich pigmented colors!
I love how rich and vibrant the pumpkin color just pops IRL :)

Kadie and Paola also asked us to share something about Fall
specifically to our area.  Other than the church craft bazaars and the
slight change in the air, Starbucks Pumpkin Spice lattes ♥,
we mostly associate Fall with Trick or Treating!
The kids love it, and it's fun to visit the houses on our block(s) that go all out!

Well, that's it for me today -
I"ll be back later ♥

Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!

DDD - Olympic Glory

Well, hi there!

I'm back with another 'catch up' card,
this one from the DDD August kit sent to us by Judy!
While my card has been done for weeks,
it's just been chillin' on the side lines waiting for me to get back here :)
The DDD's August theme was "Go for the Gold!',
focusing on our Summer Olymics in Rio ♥

Judy sent the kit for the Divas and Deb sent the kits to the Dazzlers :)
Judy sent us a gorgeous, jam-packed kit filled with Olympic flag papers,
sequins and ribbons and the most adorable die cut Olympic rings!
My eye drew right in on those circle dies,
and they quickly became the focal point of my card.
I wanted to use the adorable ScrappinDoodle digital stamp as well
so this was my way to combine the two.
The gems are added to the outside of the circles in coordinating colors.

Judy asked us to share what our favorite summer Olympic sport
to watch is, and mine is definitely soccer!
We are HUGE soccer fans and each have a supporting cast of our
favorite 'footballers' so it's a lot of fun (and loud!)
in our home when the matches are on, LOL.

Thanks for stopping by to see my tardy card,
and I'll be back this week with a couple of other catch up cards :)

Big hugs, Bigger blessings!

3M: Coffee time!

Hello, friends!

Hard to believe it's been a month since I've posted!
And it is October, after all ....
fitting since I had to dust the cobwebs off my blog today :)

It's been a whirlwind here in South Florida
(and not just due to hurricane Matthew)
with life events, busy-ness and juggling so much.
I have felt every bit of God's grace and mercy working in my life,
and I'm pulling from the old saying:
"Trusting God won't make the mountain smaller,
but it will make it easier to climb."

I'm officially creating through the chaos :)

Since today is the 9th of the month,
that means it's time for the 3 Musketeers to post our cards.
This month, Barb was our hostess and send us the incredible
Tim Holtz "Fresh Brewed" coffee blueprint stamp and matching die cut outs.
How perfect for me!
It had my name all over it :)

You may notice that my take on the card has shades of green ...
it's not only my favorite color
but I'm channeling my favorite coffee with a a green siren logo :)
I paired it with some cardstock and dsp in shades of similiar greens,
and used the embossed coffee cardstock as a backdrop,
added some baker's twine and wooden dots for dimension.

The inside is very plain but you can see a bit of it peeking out here:

This week I'll be sharing a lot of 'back logged' cards with you,
as well as some new cards celebrating the season upon us.
I hope you can stop in for a visit ♥
Meanwhile, be sure to visit Barb and Jeanette
and see what they made with this identical image.

 ,
Big hugs, bigger blessings!
~Kelly
