CCEE2225 ~ Roses and Pearls!

Hi friends!

There's a new challenge at the CCEE Stampers blog ~

Roses and Pearls!

Lynn has been the amazing hostess for the month of June

and this is her last challenge of this month:

The rose is the national flower for the month of June while the pearl is June’s gemstone. I am therefore asking the CCEE Stampers to include both of these beauties on their card for this week’s CCEE Challenge!

This is my final week as challenge hostess, and I hope you will play along and share a wonderful design using the rose and pearls!! Won't they make for beautiful June wedding cards?

  Yes, absolutely!

My card today is using a rose stamp and die from Altenew

called Amazing Things.

It is such a beautiful set!

I started with a watercoloring of the roses,

and while it was drying, did a quick stenciled background

using a polka dot look with Picked Raspberry distress ink.

Once both of those were dry,

I added a sentiment from the Tim Holtz ideology sticker set

and popped the roses up on some dimensional foam.

I am fresh out of pearls (shucks!) so I added the closest thing I had:

white enamel dots from Altenew!

Be sure to stop over at the CCEE Stampers blog

and check out the rest of the cards from the DT!

Thank you, Lynn, for your wonderful month of challenges!

Big hugs,

Kelly

CCEE2223 ~ Celebrating Father!

There's a new challenge this week at the CCEE Stampers -

Celebrating Father's Day!

This coming Sunday is Father’s Day.

I would like for you to create a card for the father of your choice

(be it your father, your son, a neighbor, a friend, etc.)

personalizing it by showcasing his favorite hobby.

Any occasion will do, as long as it is a masculine card featuring a hobby.

My card features dies from Disney's Mickey Mouse ~

and this is the golf set!

The keyword for this challenge is CCEE2223.

We would love for you to stamp with us on this challenge!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Kelly

DD2 ~ Women of Strength

Hi friends!

Welcome to 3 am!

It's just me - finishing a card at this

(as my mother always loves to say)

ungodly hour!

My ENTIRE LIFE I've never heard another person say that!

But, yep ... it's 3 am and

 I. just. now. finished. a. card.

So, today is reveal day for the Dueling Darlings 2!

Normally, we'd have 2 teams 'dueling' with ONE theme,

TWO different card kits!

This month, Jeanette graciously volunteered to send out ALL the kits!

Thank you, Jeanette!

It was a lifesaver more than you can ever know,

and knowing your OWN plate was full, I thank you extra!!

This month's theme:

Women of Strength

The image is from the adorable Hello Bluebird "Frosty Mornings"

and I've used a few of the papers, gems she sent as well.

I did use my own die to create a frame and my own copic markers

to color - the rest was the kit!

And I still have a lot left to make several more cards :)

Be sure to stop in and see what the rest of the DD2 has created ..

Otters in the ocean!

Hi friends!

Today's card is a double duty -

June 8 is World Ocean's Day this year

and that's the theme of the CCEE Stampers this week!

This adorable image is for the 3M June (3 Musketeers)

sent to us by Jeanette and it's otter-ly adorable!

The image is from CC Designs and reminds me of my daughter's

family - they are 3 and just as happy and smiling!

And otters DO live in the ocean!

So, I made my card a few days ago

with a watercolor panel as the background

BUT accidentally glued it upside down!

Yep.

The green was the bottom as one of the favorite spots at the zoo

for Alice (my granddaughter) is the otter slide!

It's a pretty green slide with a blue top tunnel

that you crawl through while they swim above - it's SO CUTE!

I had hoped to remake it but haven't had a free chance

so upside down it is :)

I do love me some punny cards and think this is just so cute!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Be sure to check out the CCEE Stampers this week

and

Barb and Jeanette's cards which are on their blogs.

The ONE new in '22 ~ June!

 Hello friends!

It's time for my very favorite challenge ~ One Plus Twelve!

This card series is where I take one stamp

(and JUST one stamp)

and create a card twelve times - one for each month.

For June's card, I went shabby chic!

For my stamp this year,

I've chosen the butterfly stamp from PInk Fresh Studio:

and thought I'd go way outside the box this month!

I adore creating in new styles and learning new techniques

so that my cards aren't always cookie cutter.

I have recently been bitten by the journaling bug

and making my own tags, pages, flip books, pockets, etc

and many are in a shabby chic style.

So, my butterfly this month is as well!

On one side of the butterfly, it's stamped in designer paper

but the other side didn't have any design - it was plain.

Perfect!

It quickly became the palette for being able to build texture and layer.

I used a stiched arch die to pop up the frame to emulate a cathedral

window overlooking a beautiful garden below.

Yeah ... that's how my mind often works, LOL!

The sentiment is an epoxy word I've had for years in a set

and looks similiar to a style you'd see from a label maker.

I'm showing the inside because I added the 'popped out frame'

to the inside and carried over the shabby chic-ness.

This  so very sweet and I'm pleased with how it turned out :)

My friends Barb and Jeanette have joined me

this year again and have their own cards on their blogs

which you can see here:

That's it for today!

CCEE2221 ~ Country Cookin' :)

Hey y'all!

Mighty nice to see ya today!

We're cooking up something country today at the

CCEE Stampers blog!

Our sweet hostess, Lynn, is starting us off with the June challenges

and I'm sure it will be a fun month!

This is what she says:

In the USA, June has been declared country cooking month. I am therefore asking the CCEE Stampers to create cards which feature fabulous bounty from the garden in the form of fruits or vegetables that you love to prepare and serve your family during the hot months of summer.

I LOVE vegetables!

I decided to create a card with my favorites: carrots :)

I grabbed a couple of Lawn Fawn stamp sets

and Lawn Fawn designer paper

and created this cute card ~ lots of sharing and lots of carrots!

I do not have a green thumb for gardening or harvesting or canning

but I am a self taught pretty good cook :)

Many friends and family around our table will attest to that

and based on how many 'repeat visitors' I get that lick their plates clean,

I'm guessing it must be true!

So win/win - LOL!

That's it for me, friends!

Please visit the CCEE Stampers blog to see all the DT cards

as well as link up yours!

Thank you, Lynn, for the fun challenge!

So pull out your stamp collection and see what you can put together for this country cooking challenge. Should you post your project to an on-line gallery other than your blog, please add CCEE2221 as a keyword on hashtag.

Crafty hugs,

Kelly
