CCEE2147: Thankful {leaves}

  Hi friends!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you from my home to yours!

I hope everyone is planning a beautiful day

of family, friends and feast :)

It's my last challenge at the CCEE Stampers

and today, being a day of giving thanks, my challenge is simple:

Being that it's Thanksgiving, create a card or project

with a thankful theme ~

bonus points for adding a leaf/leaves on your card!

Thanks for joining the November challenges if you did

as I've certainly enjoyed creating them and seeing your cards!

Here is mine, using Sugar Pea Designs Fall Fox!

It's such a sweet stamp and die set - I just love anything critters

but add in some fall and leaves and I'm in extra love :)

I stamped/die cut the images and colored them with copics.

I added the critters and leaves to a background that I distress inked

and stamped a matching sentiment.

You can see all the of DT cards here as well as link up your card!

Thanks for stopping by!

CCEE2146 ~ Buffalo Plaid!

Hi friends!

There's a new challenge at the CCEE Stampers this week:

Buffalo Check!

I just love elegance that this pattern beholds

and use it often on my holiday cards.

For this card, I channeled the b/w pumpkin as a focal point

and literally just popped the paper to some cardstock

Goodbye, CCL card challenge!

 Hello friends!

Happy Monday!

I hope your week is off to a good start

and craftiness is on the menu for you!

It's a bittersweet post for me today as this is the final

Classy Card Ladies post.

There are plans to continue next year with new teams, a new name, etc

but it's been a fun and wild 11 years

and I've much joy in my heart for this card group.

The way this works:

There are 2 teams - and 2 hostesses, 1 theme.

Each month, the hostess mails a card kit for us to work with.

This month, our hostesses were the beautiful Carol and Shelly!

Our team was sent this kit from Carol

and her kind self sent us the actual stamp to use!

THANK YOU, CAROL!

The only thing I provided was glue and cardstock and markers!

This month's challenge was a Tic-Tac-Toe

and I chose the top line of card (see below!)

There is a sentiment stamped on the inside

and it says winter joy!

I used the line that includes snowman/ enamel dots / dsp.

Such a fun challenge, Carol - this was unexpected!

You can see the rest of the cards created

by visiting Splitcoaststampers in the forum for Classy Card Ladies.

And if you follow my Youtube channel,

you'll see many more inspirations this week from quite a few collabs!

I'm excited!

CCEE2145 ~ Tag! You're It!

 Hi friends!

I'm delighted to be the hostess for the

There's a new challenge at the CCEE Stampers ~

Tag! You're It!

Let's get ready for the holiday gift giving

by creating a set of tags ~ any style!

For my tags, I used a base layer of designer paper

from Echo Park

and cut out a tag shape.

I used my hole punch to create an opening for my ribbons

The centers of my tags are mini present labels

from Family Dollar that I purchased as a pack!

I found ones that matched the paper almost exact

and on the back of the tags is the TO: and FROM:

As always, you can link up your tags this week

here on the CCEE Stampers blog!

Card Class - Day 1

 Hello friends!

It's GORGEOUS here in South Florida -  it's in the 50's!

This is indeed sweater weather :)

I'm soooo in the holiday spirit

and have been shopping, planning my baking,

and making holiday cards and projects!

I've also signed up for the Online Holiday Card Class

although I'm woefully behind - it's been fun watching the videos.

This was Day #1 taught by Jennifer McGuire,

learning to use light beams and perfect pearls

to create ambiance of light in a night sky

And here they are individually:

I've watched the next few days of classes

and hope to create those cards this week!

Wishing you a fabulous week ahead, my friends!

XO

CCEE2144 ~ Manatee Awareness Month!

 Hi friends!

It's officially November and a brand new month

for challenges at the CCEE Stampers blog.

This month, I'm the hostess for the challenges

and will bring you themes for the next 4 weeks!

So swim on by and play along! :)

November is Manatee Awareness Month so let's celebrate

Florida's beloved, iconic marine mammal by adding one

(or more) to a card.

I've used Manatee-rific from Lawn Fawn

and just love the sweetness of these little creatures.

They are often called 'sea cows' as they are slow moving

mammals with puffy, round bodies and paddle-shaped flippers.

They are gentle and friendly and considered vunerable

so let's keep these beautiful ocean animals safe

and celebrate with manatee cards.

The base of my card is acrylic paint with a piece of

chipboard dipped into the paint

and flattened onto the #120 cardstock.

Once it was dry, I added the 'waves' with a scallop die.

You can find the CCEE Stampers blog here

and Mr. Linky at the bottom to connect your cards.

Have fun and thanks for stopping by!

One Plus Twelve - November!

 Hello friends!

Today I'm sharing another card for my series: One Plus Twelve -

my FAVORITE card series!

The idea behind this card challenge is to take ONE stamp

 - and only one stamp -

and use it once a month to create twelve unique cards all year long.

We all know we often buy a stamp ... use it once ...

 and then file it away.

This is a great way to challenge yourself to use it more than once

and stretch the creative process :)

For 2021, I am using Altenew's Build-a-flower Magnolia,

my favorite flower <3

You can read all about it here on January's post!

One thing I'm crazy about this year is the buffalo check -

it's everywhere!

I also recycled some tissue paper that came with a gift I received <3

The circle behind the flower isn't vellum - it's white tissue paper!

I paired it with a teal background to give this a pop of color

against the black and white.

The sentiment is from another Altenew stamp set

as are the enamel dots in grey.

I'm also channeling the blue that I'm seeing all year for the farmhouse

inspired looks!

I invited Barb and Jeanette to play along in this challenge 3 years ago

and they have their cards on their blogs - today or later :)

Next month will be the final card in this series until 2022 :)

Thanks for stopping by!
