Frames and flags die set

Birthday wishes!

Hi friends!

Today I have a birthday card to share for our IG Birthday Bash

card group hosted by my friend, Melissa!

We have an vision board to follow as inspiration

but the idea to to build-a-stash of birthday cards!

I am on a mission!

I have boxes and stacks of kits from virtual camps & classes

that I have been desperately trying to catch up on

and my ProCRAFTinator's group is only x1 per month!

So I grabbed the PinkFresh Studio Scrapbooking retreat kit

and pulled out things to match the vision board,

incuding the background patterened paper & ephemera.

The image is Darling Rosebuds and I colored it with my Olo Markers.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Inky Paws Challenge - Week 4!

 Happy Monday!

It's week 4 of the Newton's Nook Designs

Inky Paws Challenge.

Here is the color inspiration photo:

Earlier this month, I created a card using small scraps

of cardstock and these are the continued leftovers!

I really love trying to find a use for the pieces

instead of throwing them away

so this was a definitely a creative process.

I glued the strips together onto white cardstock

and then stamped Dainty Daisies clear stamp

onto the cardstock with white ink.

I die cut it out using the coordinating die

including a second 'branch' which I tucked behind.

I popped it up on a vellum circle die cut and classic back and white card,

die cut with the Basic Frames die set.

I got back from a trip and ended up sick

(nothing like a souvenier!)

so I added a quick sentiment to turn this into a Get Well Card.

The sentiment stamp is from Naughty Newton.

Here is the card the extra strips were from

On Vacation!

Hi!

Happy Friday!

I thought I'd share with you a card I made for my daughter's

upcoming AMAZING trip.

She was my inspiration for this lively silhouette card :)

I started with a gorgeous paper from the Rainbow 6 x 6 paper pack

and trimmed it with my paper trimmer.

I used Build-An-Island die set to create the silhouette die cut island

and popped it onto the front of the card.

And finally, I added a sentiment from the Cat stamp set

with white embossing.

Here's one final look and

I'll be CHEERSing a margarita for ya! ;)

Inky Paws Challenge - Week 2

Happy Monday!

It's Week 2 of the Inky Paws Challenge blog

and it's a FUN photo inspo with bright fun colors:

Use the colors
MagentaTurquoisePurple, and Bright Yellow!

 To create this fun card,

I started with Newton's Nook Designs heart dies.

I love how versatile these are for ALL YEAR LONG!

I took scraps cardstock fro my stash in the 4 challenge colors

and my paper trimmer and just cut them in random fashion

and then layered them like a puzzle until I found a design I liked.

I added it to a layer of vellum .... I know, it looks grey!  It's not :)

That layer is framed by the Basic Frames die set

and the white & black cardstocks are trimmed with the same trimmer.

Lastly, the sentiment!

It's from the new Party On! stamp set from the Retro Collection ~

totally rad!

You can link up your cards here and the challenge rules are here!

Have a great start to your week ;)

You are SUNSHINE!

Hi friends!

Today's card is one for the You Are Sunshine IG card group

where we create cards based on sending someone a card

with an uplifting message.

So HI! :)

My card is bright and cheerful and already in the mail!

This year, as part of my 59 in 59,

one of the them is to mail

- and document just for my own eyeballs -

59 cards!

The floral stamp and die is from Taylored Expressions

and I paper pieced it for a bold focal point.

The papers are from Recollections from Michaels.

3M: Lovely Day!

 Hi friends!

Today I'm sharing a card for the 3M (3 Musketeers)

mystery card sharing!

The idea:  My sweet friend Jeanette had an idea

to stamp the SAME mystery image and SEND it to 3 (musketeers) friends

and we SEE what we come up with!

We take turns in a rotating fashion

and she is the hostess this month, sending us

 Lovely Day by Penny Black.

So super duper cute!

I'm not happy at all with my card and

 it. is. what. it. is.

Too many irons in the fire, as they say!

I find myself lacking mojo by needing to be in 50 places

at the same time & I gave it my best Girl Scout Effort :)

Be sure to head over to Jeanette and Barb,

they did a stand up job on their cards, I'm sure!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hey girl!

Hi friends!

Today I have a post for my friend's card group on Instagram!

We are in the 2nd year of this fun group and

  once a month, she randomly

chooses 2 choices of cards from the Color Cubes, both editions.

We can chose either card as a springboard to create.

I chose card #107 from the choices:

the vibrant plums and fushias were calling me!

I used the Simon Says Stamp Tucked Hearts stamp

and embossed with gold accents for a POP

and Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors to build up the bold colors.

I also added a simple die cut Hey Girl! to the front :)

Inky Paws Challenge - Week 3

 Hi friends!

It's Week 3 of the Newton's Nook Designs

THere is a quick video:

This week, I'm celebrating St. Patrick's Day with

Newton's Lucky Clover stamp and die set.

I stamped and die cut Newton and colored the images

 with my Olo markers

and built a little fun card using tartan!

That's actually Christmas paper but doubles as a fun dupe for Irish plaid!
