SOTC CAS = FALL!

Do you speak T-E-X-T?  LOL!   With 3 tween-agers, it's become a necessity in our home :)
But of course this is crafting lingo and it's nice to be able to shorten a lot of things!

I still haven't caught up on my crafting yet and am scrambling to get some cards that are due made and in the mail!  This one is for the SOTC - the sistahs of the traveling cards and our hostess this month was the fabulous Gael!   Her exact rules/words were:

C.A.S. TIME! I am trying to declutter my supplies, my home and my life.

In honor of simplifying---August's theme is Clean and Simple.

More specifically, no more than two layers (card base is considered a layer) and no more than 2 embellishments (one if it is a large one); not two types of embellies, but two embellies (ie: one rhinestone, one skinny ribbon, etc. However, a set of googlie eyes would be considered one embellie).

No lyin' .... this one had me stumped!  As my sweet friend April calls me, I'm the Queen of layers! I love layers - lots of luscious, scrumtious layers!  So it took me three tries to make a CAS card ..... the first two were quite hideous and I ended up going back to the first idea I had which was to CASE this card by my creative and crafty friend, Lynn!  The second I saw it I knew I wanted to make it for this swap and should have just went with my instinct to stick with the plan, lol .... and saved a whole lotta paper and cardstock! :)  Alas, here is my Burgandy Fall card - whatcha think?  I am contemplating a sentiment before this hits the mail - yay for long weekends, rain and crafting time!

I'll be back soon with a few more cards since I'm stickin' close to home with the torrential rains and unbelievable winds we've been having.

Big Hugs,
Bigger Blessings!
~Kelly

Be careful out in that weather. We're getting pounded with rain, but so far, that's about it.
