Reindeer wishes this holiday!

Oh my goodness ...  Anyone remember me?! :)  I've been soooo neglectful of my blog/ing ... I just can't seem to catch up in the craftroom and am sooo mojo-less.  I've tried revisiting my old cards, trying sketches, looking at color combos ... nada!  I think my brain just has too many irons in the fire to focus on cards - which is not good with the holidays right around the corner and 2 swaps due soon on SCS!

I did get a few minutes today to color at the table while waiting for the towels to wash and the floor to dry (mopped myself into a corner, lol) so I decided no matter what, I'd force it onto a card and be one more card into the holiday ;)  I love this reindeer image from PDS called Socket - isn't he sweet!  And guess what I did!  I chopped this by accident AFTER I had it colored up!  Oh.  My.  Word.  See - my head wasn't into this card making, lol!   I had to take a picture to show you my blunder.  I was NOT planning on putting one more flower on one more card.  Buttons?  Yes, absolutely!!   But not a flower, hee hee!  The sentiment is from one of my SU stamp sets.

and ended with this - not ideal, but it works :)

    I think your card looks great and you covered the oops just fine :) I know it can be tough, but you always seem to take things with smile on your face no matter what.

    Socket, I love it! And he's colored so beautifully! Your flowers look like they were always planned to be there! Don't you just hate that split second of 'OH! NO!' before you figure out how to fix it... Good thing there is always room for embellishment!! Fabulous card!!

    Your card is so sweet! Thanks for sharing your blunder! I would have never noticed the flower looks like it belongs! If I posted every time I blundered a project I think I would have to start another blog! My number one blunder... Adhering the card base upside down! Yup so the card opens the wrong way!

    I love the papers you used and your image is adorable. In the "whoops" pic it looks like this adorable deer is looking up at you like "come on mom finish me!"

    Very pretty for a mojo-less crafter! But I do know what you mean. I've been there and had DT assignments due! Very hard to create. Love the colors in this.

    If you hadn't shown your blunder, I would never have guessed that there was anything "wrong" with your card. Everything turned out perfectly!! What a sweet little image - and the finished product just goes to show that rough times end up paving the way to something beautiful!!
    (And I'm trying NOT to break the 10th commandment as I look at the sunny photo with all those green leaves in the background. Enjoy your weather for me!!)
