Fröhliche Weihnachten!
Hello! Right about now, I soooooo wish I were back in Germany - the wonders of the season ... the snow ... the Christmas markets ... the snow ... the cathedrals celebrating the Savior's birth ... the snow! :) I am mailing a package to my brother for the holidays and wanted to put in a small Christmas tag, and ended up with a card somehow :) Although he's a typical guy and not into cards, I still wanted to personalize it just a bit with a "guy" image and knew I wanted to ink up my lonely CC Designs "Hansel with Lederhosen!" He's too cute! I also knew I wanted to use non traditional colors just a bit and pulled from the blue and orange in the papers. I doubt he will even notice that Hansel doesn't have a mouth, ROFL!!
Wishing you a most wonderful weekend! We are starting the holiday shows with our daughters and their schools - several performances this weekend, combined with a birthday celebration. The busy-ness has officially begun!
Blessings to you!
Big hugs,
~Kelly
Kelly, I really like the non traditional colors on this cute card. Great card for a guy and know your brother will love it. Like all those little buttons too.

ReplyDeleteKelly, your brother will love it ! You´re right, the christmas markets starts last week. But it´s so unusual warm here in Germany-it´s not really fun to drink "Glühwein"and "Punsch" !!HUGS
ReplyDeleteawwww.... so happy and bright... LOVE. And how adorable is that Hansel?!! Still super, uber cute with no mouth... I had not noticed until you pointed out. lol... But you've made him so irresistible! You have great taste when it comes to pairing DPs with images cards... they go together so perfectly~ What a sweet sister you are. :)
ReplyDeleteYour brother will LOVE this I'm sure! I can't believe I'm saying this.... I am praying you have snow over your holiday trip. I have NEVER in my whole life prayed for snow (0= Love your new blog digs!
ReplyDeleteI love this little guy - he's absolutely perfect, blond hair and all - LOL. Wonderful as always. And snow - sheesh my friend - come visit here. We'll have plenty I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card!!!! It is so perfect and reminds me of Germany ( worked for a German company and traveled there) Great colors! I saw your comments about Xmas, what about a small fake tree to bring on your trip? Of course any decorations you put up at home, I am sure they will be gorgeous. Have fun making your GBread house, birthday and concerts, always the busy one :)
ReplyDeleteLove this non-traditional Christmas card. Good luck with all of the shows (to your family) and have fun this weekend.
ReplyDeleteKelly, as usual, your fresh take on colors is perfect! The image is soooo cute & expertly colored to match the CS. The twine & buttons finish it off nicely. Your brother should really appreciate your creation, even if not a "card guy"!
ReplyDeleteGreat card for a guy. I like that you used more nontraditional colors too. Ahh, the business of the season has started here too. We have no kids, but all the nieces and nephews are having their holiday concerts, plays and all that too. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous christmas card Kelly, so colourful!

love the lime green dp! Great image :)
ReplyDeleteLove your Hansel in Lederhosen! A town near us has an annual German festival in the summer and I always tease my DH that I'm going to buy him a pair (his family is Scottish/Irish and mine is German).
ReplyDeleteYour card is wonderful and I love the scallop edge at the bottom! Of course your choice of papers are completely perfect!
Hi Kelly! I'm lovin' your card as usual!!!! The colors, layout & your coloring is just wonderful my dear! Awesome, awesome work as always & TFS!!!
