Snow Flurries!

 Hi friends!

It's SO HOT here in Florida!

I'd be glad to trade anyone for my beach side ocean waves 

sunshine view for your snow and winter!

Lucky for me, 

I get to play with paper snow!

I'm sharing a white rainbow card for an Instagram hop

with a theme of rainbows.

The premise is to create a mostly 75% white card 

with a splash of 25% or less rainbow!

I used the cute polar bear from Photoplay Paper stamps & dies

as well as a blended ink background using distress oxide inks.

I was going for an Aurora Borealis look

and added a splash of white ink snow splatter.

The sentiment is from Concord and 9th but matched perfectly!

I want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving in the US!

Inky Paws Challenge!

This month is a fun sketch challenge:

For my festive card this week,

I chose Puppy's Bubble Tea stamps and dies.

I have A LOT of birthdays in December

so I'm getting a head start! :)

I started with a base card using Christmas Party paper pad 6 x 6

and love how it's versatile enough for the holidays and birthdays!

Santa!

 

Hi friends!

It must be Santa!

I just adore this clear stamp set from Whimsy Stamps!

The sweet look on Santa's face with his bag of toys

is just dreamy <3

It's hard to believe 

the. holidays. are. already. here!

But I do know that the man from the North Pole 

will be here in 35 days!!!!

It's been a whirlwind here for our family and

honestly .......

I don't even know what day of the week it is most of the time!

Just keep it movin', that's my motto!

For this card, I used Santa at the door clear stamps

and colored it with my prismacolor markers.

I also added a die cut Drippy Frame Die for the falling snow.

This is a great staple die to have in your collection ~

it's perfect for oooey gooey at Halloween,

snow in the winter,

frosting for the birthdays!

Inky Paws Challenge - Week 2

 Hi friends!

I'm back with week 2 of the Newton's Nook Designs

Inky Paws Challenge for November.

This month, the challenge features a wonderful sketch ~

a great springboard idea for your cardmaking!

I once again used these fun products from NND

to create a bright, cheerful birthday card.

I had fun with this one!

Here is the monthly November challenge:  sketch

And my card:

I started with Newton' Nook Designs 

Sky High Celebrations stamp and die set

stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink 

and colored with my prismacolor markers.

I used the festive Christmas Party 6 x 6 paper pad

for my base and flipped the paper 'inside out' to create a duel look!

This is a great hack if you have a double sided paper

and want to use BOTH pretty sides!

But, you will see 2 of each design in the 24 paper pack.

To create the 'flip side', I used the A2 Card Layout die 

and finally popped up the for dimension.

Finally,

The inside of the card holds a special message:

Happy Birthday!

And Everything Nice with Simon Says Stamp!

 Hi friends!

The holidays are upon us!

It's time to start working on those Christmas cards

and no better time like the present!

Simon Says Stamp has a new release and I am beyond honored 

to be part of the creative process again this month.

The And Everything Nice collection is a beautiful addition

to the Sugar And Spice collection from last month!

Here is my card using the new Retro Wreath set .

What I love so much about this holiday wreath is

it's actually one you can use all year long!

The sentiments are perfect for thinking of you, hello, 

happy holidays and more!

For this card, I wanted a rustic country charm Christmas look

and picked kraft, red and green.

I stamped the background with a SSS red rubber stamp

called Hand Lettered Friends.

The retro wreath is colored with my prismacolor markers

and popped up on foam for added dimension.
