TPB: April = Autism Awareness!

Hello friends!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Today's post is so very special ~
so special, in fact, I'm spinning! :)

and today I'm showcasing the super Spencer's Set from The Project Bin.
Denise, owner and creator of Spencer's set,
is so innovative and created a stamp set very unique
to celebrating those familiar with autism ♥

And even more special ....
This stamp set is only $5 throughout this month!
The regular price is $10 so now is the time to scoop it up!
Even better, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to

Today I've created a spinner card using the wonderful stamp set,
2 pennies, some markers, paper, foam dots and glue!
I started with a blue card base ~
typically the color used for Austism Awareness.
The "Light It Up Blue" campaign shows not only understanding
of autism awareness but acceptance and support!
From there, I created the slide portion with a die from Mama Elephant,
and stamped/colored and cut with my Scan N Cut the puzzle heart stamp
and stamped the sweet sentiment onto the card stock.

Fun fact!
The heart die from the In My Heart is the PERFECT die to use
with the heart from Spencer's Set!

Here's a little video of the slider in action!

Mondays are the day I post to the blog at The Project Bin.
This card and Tamie's terrific card are being showcased today ~

A piece of my heart! ♥

Good Morning, friends!

Happy Friendship Day!

I'm certainly blessed to know each of you
and share this bit of our world together ~
I'm so glad we're friends!

Today I have a post for my Find Your Inspiration series ~
blog posts I started earlier this year,
finding random inspiration in the wonderful world around us.

My niece has autism and we truly love her to pieces.
She's such a sweet young lady ~ now 21 ~ with a contagious smile
and has a heart of a true champion :)
While we realize life for her won't include the complex things
like living alone, have a pet, drive a car ...
her alacrity and willingness is unmatched!

to try.
to learn.
to be present in the world ♥

Since Monday's are the day I post on The Project Bin blog,
I knew I had to create a card for her using the very special

I thought it would be wonderful to CASE a card that inspired me
on Splitcoaststampers for the Featured Stamper this week.
Jenny's gallery is a new one to me
but this card jumped right out and I was inspired to recreated it with a twist :)
That was my whole vision behind F.Y.I. ~
finding inspiration often in unexpected places.

I made a porthole card for a little peek-a-boo surprise for her!
On the inside, I stamped the puzzle piece heart from Spencer's Set
and die cut it using my cuttlebug with the heart die from In My Heart.
These two stamp sets are interchangeable and a great addition to your stamps.
I glued a small black cut out circle to frame the opening of the porthole
and added a few enamel dots in a variety of colors.

Here is the card from the front:

 And the inside:

You can see both of these fabulous stamp sets in the shop.
If you click on any of the stamp set thumbnails,
it will take you to the wonderful galleries filled with photo inspirations!

Spencer's Set and In My Heart are full stamp sets/dies ↓

So inspiring, just as I hope something inspires you
out there in the great big world today :)

*Tomorrow the winner of Summer Series ~ 5 days of ...
(week 1) will be announced!

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

Mondays with The Project Bin - Autism Awareness ♥

Good Morning, friends!

April is the start of Autism Awareness Month
and it's my great honor to introduce you to a brand new stamp set

Did you know that 1 in 68 children are born with a variation of autism?
And according to the autism society,
more than 3.5 million Americans currently live with ASD,
so chances are you are close to someone on the autism spectrum.
This stamp set is lovingly named after sweet Spencer,
the son of Denise (owner/designer for The Project Bin stamps).

It's on sale right now for $8 ~ after April 2017, it will go up to $10.
However,  Denise is generously donating a portion of each sale

Here are the two cards I made with Spencer's Set and the In My Heart die,
which matches the heart from Spencer's set perfectly!

Here they are together:

Here is another autism awareness fact ~
The puzzle pattern reflects the complexity of the autism spectrum.
The different colors and shapes represent the diversity of the people
and families living with the condition.
The brightness of the ribbon signals hope — hope that through increased awareness of autism, and through early intervention and access to appropriate services/supports, people with autism will lead full lives able to interact with the world on the own terms.

You can meet Spencer here, on TPB inspiration blog
and see other card samples made with this stamp set AND
the In My Heart stamp/die set.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Big hugs, bigger blessings!
