Happy Birthday, Denise ~ Blog Hop!

Hi friends

Today's blog post is a FUN one!

Today's post is a birthday blog hop for Denise at The Project Bin!
The Design Team is hopping along today to
celebrate this wonderful lady on her special day

Denise is the owner and creative genius
behind this amazing stamp line :)
Her stamps are zany and funny
and there are stamps and sentiments for all occasions ...
from the ones that make you split your sides laughing
to ones that make you sentimental and all warm and fuzzy!

I've been on her design team since the onset
and it's been an absolutely awesome-sauce 'job'

Here is my card using one of my favorite stamp sets:

I used some fun patterned papers from Illustrated Faith
and let the image be the focal point of the card
and just love that this is as cheerful as Denise always is!

Here's the stamp set:

Here is the entire hop list if you'd to see
what we've created for her:

And that's it for me!
To keep hopping, next up is the talented Dawn's blog
as she's next up in the hop :)

I'm so happy you stopped by today!

Happy Birthday, Denise!
I'm wishing you all the wonderful things today :)

Big hugs, bigger blessings :)

Santa Claus, a GIVEAWAY and The Project Bin!

Hi friends!

I'm back with another card for The Project Bin!

Although I'm "girl tuesday" up on the blog,

Denise is now posting once a week so check back often :)

AND ........

today's post has a giveaway!

I received 2 Mid Century Christmas stamp and die sets

and Denise is so so SO very sweet ~

she said "Keep it and have a giveaway!"

Isn't she AMAZING! (。♥‿♥。)

*Scroll down past the card for details!*

I've used the Mid Century Christmas stamp and die set,

stamped in Catherine Pooler inks

and the striped paper is also from the new Catherine Pooler holiday dsp mix.

I stamped out the tree, presents and star and die cut those

with the coordinating dies this one is super fun and a new-to-me card fold ~

a step card with a diagonal twist.

I've made step cards before but this is the first try with a diagonal twist.

I did one as a practice and it was a little bent up from all the scoring, LOL,

but the second one was. the. one!

It opens up to an A2 size and there's a note area in the inside to write ~  and

once folded, it fits perfectly into an A2 envelope!

This is where I started and then ended up with a pdf file that was step by step

to add the diagonal.

Now for the giveaway!

For ONE lucky winner,

I'll send you the stamp and die set used on this card (the extra!)

along with some other holiday goodies!

Just leave a comment here on my blog and let me know

what's your favorite thing about making Christmas cards?

Open internationally and ends 10/30 - winner announced 10/31!

Good luck!

You can find this stamp set and more in the shop

as well as inspiration cards in the gallery (click on each photo of the stamps!)

Thanks for stopping by!

Big hugs, bigger blessings :)

The Project Bin: I love Fall!

 Hi friends!

I have 2 posts today ~ This one for The Project Bin

and next up, The Dueling Darlings Diva card.

For today's post at The Project Bin blog, I've created 2 cards using super fun
fall themed paper as part of my Sept-paper installment!

I have tons and tons of designer paper although last year,
 I purged/donated 3/4 of it.
And yet, I still have many MANY 6 x 6 mat stacks to use!

So ... September became Sept-paper!

I love the look of different layers of fun papers
and did some angle layering here.
On this card, the image is from New Leaf,
and if you look through the gallery at TPB, you'll see I've used this many times :)

I stamped the images in Lawn Fawn walnut ink
and popped some enamel dots on them, using all ends of the sheets of dsp.

For the next card, I used the small trims off the sides to create a second
quick thank you card.
The 'thanks' stamp (also in Lawn Fawn walnut ink) is from Autumn's Calling,
another favorite of mine!

Here are both together:

You can find both stamp sets in the shop!

These are both available for purchase here!

Thanks for stopping by!

Big hugs, bigger blessings :)

TPB: Nautical Slimlne!

Hello friends!

Thank you so much for the sweet comments
on my daughter's college graduation!
We are so proud of her ~
now it's off to her Master's Degree studies :)

Today's card is for The Project Bin stamps
as it's my day to post on the blog.

I've used the Anchor's Away stamp set - a summer fave!
The slimline dies give this such a different and unusual look ~
paired with festive nautical paper and vellum underneath.

As you can see, mine is well loved!

You can find this stamp set in the shop here
and here's a look at the stamp set all together:

Thanks for stopping by!
Big hugs, bigger blessings!

TPB: Yello friends!

Yello friends!

That's like hello - only better!
It's a greeting with extra cheer and zest :)

And a great big THANK YOU to Denise,
owner and creator of The Project Bin stamps ~ like the one I'm using today.
I've been so very sick
which really stinks because I have some wonderful news to share soon :(
I had to pull a card from my gallery at Splitcoaststampers from VSN
and in true fashion to her sweetness,
Denise said 'No worries', exuding to her amazing kindness!

It's probably no secret that I love
~ LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE ~
citrus!
Grapefruits, oranges, lemon, limes - YUM!
I love the fruit, juices and even use it quite often in cooking.
We are very blessed that many years ago, we planted lemon/lime
and sour orange trees in our backyard so supply is always on hand.

For my card, I did some watercoloring
with my Altenew watercolor brush markers.
I am over the moon in love with these!
Since the VSN theme when I made this card back was fruit,
I stamped the lemon and slices in a random fashion to showcase that.

I'm a BIG BIG BIG fan of the loose watercoloring ~
not going all the way to the lines
and just letting the water and paint do their own thing organically.
I don't (always) force the color to the lines ...
and probably why I'm a fan of artists like John Marin
an American Modernism artist who painted this

John Marin, Brooklyn Bridge, 1912

Back to my card!
I used the stamp set Yello and stamped the images in a random order.
Because the colors were so vivid and bright,
I stamped the coordinating sentiment in black and white for contrast.
The image is stamped and watercolored on #120 white cardstock
and cut with a Spellbinders die set.
The final piece is the designer paper from Stampin' Up!

I did have an OOPS! with this card ...
can you see it?
eeeek!

You can see all what the design team creates all week on the blog,
as well as check out the galleries when you click on each stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Big hugs, bigger blessings!

TPB: Don't flip out ....

Hi friends!

Don't flip out ~
I flippin' love you! :)

Hee hee!

I'm back with another card for The Project Bin stamps ~
and do I EVER love pun-ny cards!
The Project Bin stamps has a super fun set filled with pun
and it's called The Gratest (yes, spelled like that!)

I found a series of kitchen towels at the store before Covid19
and each one is just super cute ~
and I made a card to go along with the towels to share with neighbors :)

I'm kinda stuck in a rut with my card designs ~
seemingly reaching for the same few dies over and over
so I thought I'd switch it up a bit for this card.

I dug and dug some more through my stash of dies
and found several that I don't think I've used - if ever!
No time like the present, they say.

I really like how this frame gives it a wonky look
and I kept the paper like the towel
and the stamping and embellishments in the same color family.

Here is the stamp set in it's entirety ~ super fun!
It's available HERE in the shop at The Project Bin.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Big hugs, bigger blessings <3 font="">

TPB: Mom ['mäm ]

 Hi friends!

Mother's Day is coming up so it's a good time to make a few cards :)
My mum is from England (born and raised!)
so we celebrate with her in March, too ...
it's a small tradition of ours and gives her a little bit of home ♥

My card today is celebrating all the moms!
I've created it with a stamp set from The Project Bin called Defined.
It's a wonderful clear stamp set with stamps for the front
and for the inside of your card, too!

I've made a card and a matching gift tag
for my mom's giftie!

Here's the inside of my card, continuing the theme
 with the designer paper ↓

This stamp set and many more wonderful stamps and dies
are available here in The Project Bin shop.

You can see the stamp set I used here today in it's entirety:

If you'd like to see what the Design Team creates each weekday,

Faith ['fāth]

Hi friends!

I'm back with another card using the new stamp set
from The Project Bin ~ it's called Defined.
I adore this stamp set ♥
You can see it on The Project Bin blog
in addition to the amazing DT samples!

Easter has just passed and a refreshing reminder of our Faith,
something to cling to in these uncertain time upon us.
In the scope of things,
our trials and tribulations here in our home
seem so small compared to what I'm seeing.

Here's my card using the Faith stamp in the set.
I used my stitched wonky dies from My Favorite Things on my
base of purple watercolored paper from Lawn Fawn.
Using a die cross, I die cut a leftover piece of designer paper
that reminded me of stained glass ♥

Faith ~ the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen.

That's something I can get behind :)

Here's the wonderful stamp set in in it's entirety

You can find this stamp set in the shop HERE
and there is a wonderful gallery to browse.

If you click on any stamp set,
it will take you to a gallery of card samples!

Thanks for stopping by!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

TPB: Just Sayin'

Hi friends!

There's a new little something at The Project Bin stamps ...
an adorable new stamp set :)

I. am. in. love!

The font and sentiments in the new stamp set are just fantastic!
It just landed in my mailbox yesterday afternoon
and I quickly thought of a card idea using the color combination
 at Splitcoaststampers for this week.

This year, one of my goals is to make cards using 'leftovers.'
Use all the teeny tiny bits of scraps of paper?
Yes, please!

I created this cheerful card by stamping two of the sentiments in the set
with Momento Tuxedo Black onto a white cardstock panel,
already cut out with a die cut.
I ran the different colors of cardstock strips
through my Gemini Jr. with a rectangle stitched die,
and used the small cut off section to layer those on the bottom panel.
The last little touch was adding some enamel dots.

My card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest but didn't save :(
If I can find it again, I will link to give credit!

Here's another look ...

Here's Just Sayin' with all 17 stamps to view:

You can see this stamp set and more in The Project Bin shop,
and catch up weekly on the blog with card inspirations.

Let me know if you are going to have some 'leftovers', too!
I'd love to see what you make!

Thanks for stopping by!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

TPB: Believe in magic!

 Hi friends!

I'm sloshing through the snow today
with an adorable scene card with stamps from The Project Bin!

To create this card, I started with a base die from Lawn Fawn
and added a small polka dot dsp to resemble a whimsically snow!

I've used 3 different stamp sets to create this winter wonderland:

Here are the stamp sets from The Project Bin that I used:

I hope your day is wonderful and fun
and you're ready for the holidays!

Big hugs, bigger blessings!
