You're SNOW unique!

 Hi again!

Today is a day where I have two challenges over at Splitcoaststampers -
it's a busy Saturday! :)

In addition to the Inspiration Saturday challenge,
I'm one of the hostesses for the VSN -
that's the Virtual Stamp Night
and the theme is Snow Globe!

For my challenge for the Snow Globe VSN,
I chose "Snow Unique!"

Here's my challenge for those playing along!

Snowflakes are a beautiful way to showcase winter and holiday cards.
They say that in the molecular forming of a snowflake,
no two snowflakes are alike and each one is unique!
So, for this challenge, we'll make cards that are 'snow unique'
by showcasing a snowflake - a single one - on your card
or project as a focal point!
No other specifics for the challenge - any colors, added sentiments are all okay - so let's get the winter wonderland started
with a unique, single SNOWFLAKE card!

For my card, I decided to break out some MFT stamps dienamics
that I have had for a long time and never used -
a gorgeous set of snowflakes.
I paired it with a newer die - the striped horizontal dienamic.
I cut the cardstock panel and then ran in through my Gemini Jr
to create the spaces,
and simply lined the underneath with a gorgeous, silver glittery dsp.
Simple yet so striking!

For those playing along,
You have until December 23 at 11:00 pm (EST)
to do the challenges. It's not required to complete each one
but they sure are fun
and I'd, of course, be delighted if you create a SNOW unique card!

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

Crafters of Faith: No Rock like Our God!

Hi friends!
I'm wishing you a happy start to your weekend :)

Today's card is one I  made for my Crafters of Faith card group
and I'm the hostess for January!

A few years ago, my son gifted to me a small rock
with a stained glass cross on the front.
It was some little token he purchased for me at his christian school
during one of their fundraisers ~ saying he thought of me because it had a beautiful cross and the word FAITH on the front.  I melted!
I keep this rock in my kitchen window and it has become a cornerstone of joy
for me as I see it daily. It's a reminder to always remember what matters the most ~ the love of this child, the baton of faith passed on, and that this rock mantra gets me through the tough times, the happy moments and all the in-between!

I asked the group to create a card with a rock somewhere on the card ~
either stones, river rocks, mountains, river rock paper, ribbon, etc
and the scripture 1 Samuel 2:2
 “There is no one holy like the LORD; there is no one besides you;
there is no Rock like our God."

As a Boy Scout, my son camps quite a bit,
including several trips to the mountains!
There has even been snow ~
with skiing and snowboarding!
I thought of him as I created a card with snow-capped mountains
and a camping bear, using stamps and dies from My Favorite Things.

Thanks for stopping by!
 Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥
~Kelly
