Leaves are falling ........

Happy weekend, friends!

How I just love autumn!ere in South Florida we don't get a traditional fall ~
leaves changing colors in a burst of oranges and reds and browns,
warm sweaters and a new crisp chill in the air.
But one thing we do get is the promise that all the months
of togetherness and thankfulness and gratitude and celebration
are right around the corner :)

If you haven't already heard of The Project Bin stamps,
you simply MUST go visit the shop and inspiration blog!
The stamps are just fantastic and so versatile
and perfect for your stamping needs this upcoming holiday season.
From Halloween to Thanksgiving, Christmas and beyond ...
all those 'right around the corner' moments!
There is truly something for everyone!

This beautiful fall quote is perfect for my card today :)
"Leaves are falling, Autumn is calling" ♥
I've stamped it in Momento Tuxedo Black right onto the dsp.
I also used a few pieces of fall inspired designer paper
and propped it up with some 3D foam to give the card a little edgier look.
The paper flowers and little orange gems give it just that little extra pop.

Be sure to stop by the store and browse around,
as well as peek at the delicious card samples to give you some inspiration, too!
Be well, friends!

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

"Witching" you a great Halloween!

 Hi friends!

Did you know that there's only 60 more days until Halloween?!
Indeed!
Before we know it,
it'll be time for costumes and parties and Trick 'o Treating :)
While I love all things harvest and fall,
my kids always enjoy picking out their costumes and going door to door,
bringing home way too much candy!

Today's card is from the ever fabulous The Project Bin stamps
from the new "Haunt it" stamp set.
Super fun!
I absolutely adore this hilarious stamp sentiment
and added it to a burst of color papers I just got in from Echo Park.

I've stamped this sentiment in Momento Tuxedo Ink
but these stamps are just marvelous with colored inks and embossing as well.
For this card, I've rounded the corners of some papers,
made a banner and added some simple enamel dots.

And what a better time to go see what's in the shop -
Hurry, the free shipping date is nearly over!

I'll see you soon with another card from The Project Bin ♥

Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!

I remembered your birthday ...

Hello, friends
and happy Friday!

We have a jam packed, fun filled weekend ahead,
getting in some last minute fun before school starts again.

Can't believe the summer has flown by so fast
and school will be here in a couple of weeks.

I'm.  Not.  Ready!!

Today's card is one that was so wonderful to work on,
using the "Born Yesterday" stamp set from

What a fun and oh so true sentiment! :)

I remembered your birthday,
without looking on Facebook! :)

And I share with you with certainty ....
the stamps from The Project Bin Stamps are unbelievable!
They stamp crisp and clean right out of the gate -
making your stamping sentiments a super time with creativity!
They hold both bold black ink colors superbly
as well as bright colors to give your cards a pop!

Give them a try!
You can find this set and many more in the store

Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!

Inspired by the Sea ♥

Good Morning, friends!

What a gorgeous weekend at the ocean ~
sand in our toes, salt water breezes, great surf and gorgeous weather :)
And WAY too much food!
I'm truly blessed to live here in South Florida, surrounded by the sea ♥

We did have some unexpected excitement while swimming ~
a shark fin popping out of the water about 30' away. Yikes!
I also managed to slice my foot on something sharp, most likely coral rock.
Now that we're home, my foot is propped up ...
perfect for stamping!

 Today's card...
I.  love.  this.  card!

It was inspired by the sea and my love of all things nautical ♥
The ocean is my happy place!
The stamp is from The Project Bin Stamps
using the new A Way With Words "Born Yesterday" stamp set.
So many fabulous stamps for birthdays in this set.
It's stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black - but how pretty this would be
stamped in ocean colors or even a beautiful Kraft or Crumb Cake :)
I added a few flower, buttons, some interloped twine
and this card came together beautifully.

Stop on over and see all the new release The Project Bin Stamps,
including the new Christmas stamps to get a jump start on holiday cards.

WAVE-ing to you all and sending
Big hugs, bigger Blessings!

Bazinga!

Happy Friday!

Are you ready for the weekend?!
Hopefully you have lots of fun plans
and are enjoying the start to summer :)

My card today is from the fun Bazinga! stamp set from The Project Bin,
a super fun source for snappy sentiment stamps!
The wonderful thing about A Way With Words stamps from TPB
is they are unique and stand out in the crowd ~
offering fun sayings that you don't see often in the stamping world...
like this one from Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory tv show!

My card today is a great use of two things:
scraps that were in my ever growing 'use me' pile
and dry embossing only a partial part of the cardstock.
You can see it a little better in the close up.

In previous attempts at using an embossing folder and the cuttlebug,
it would leave small 'lines' on the outside of the area dry embossing
or cover the entire area that was going through the cuttlebug,
leaving the 'roped off' area with again - those lines!
I wanted a cleaner, crisper look
where just a small portion of the cardstock is embossed.
I acheived this with good 'ol fashioned elbow grease!  LOL!
I added the A2 size PTI heavy weight cardstock to the embossing folder,
used a bone folder and just rubbed and rubbed and rubbed!
Ta-da!

 Super fun end result!
What I love so much about this card is the bright pops of colors
against the white and the contrast it gives the image :)
My card is actually a similiar CASE to one I saw a year ago on Pinterest
and it stuck with me ~ but can't find to create the OP ~ apologies!
Hopefully this one will inspire you, too!

You can find this fabulous stamp set and many others in the store.
For more ways to use this stamp set, check out the gallery on TPB blog,
Also! Check out The Project Bin on Instagram

And while your shopping, keep in mind that shipping is only $2!

Watercolor Fun!*

Hi everyone!

I am absolutely, head-over-heels IN LOVE
with the watercolor look on cards!
I just swoon every time I see them and love the new trend :)
My gallery is brimming with pinned watercolor cards to try,
and this past weekend, I 'dove in' and water-colored!
*squeals!*

Recently, there has been a lot of flutter of the new
 Recollections Color Splash watercolor crayons,
available only at Michaels in store.
One of my card groups on SCS was chatting about them,
and I was intriqued,
but would you believe I walked by them, picked them up,
and put them back down three times!
Yep,  the 4th time was the charm, as I'm not normally one to follow fads
and am still using my old {repeat OLD!!!} SU watercolor crayons
and TH distress inks :)
My daughter insisted I treat myself and dropped them into my basket
while I'm hemmed and hawwed ~ true story! ~ and oh me, oh my!

Worth.  every.  penny!!

They are so luscious and rich, creamy and shimmery,
just a vivid pop of color with some pearlized shine - a gem, they are!
I have many sets of watercolor crayons and paints and even the pencils,
but what makes these so much fun is the bit of shine they have
when you hold them into the light just so :)
While I can't link up to any sites for you,
you can do a quick you-tube search for these.

I wanted to ink up the brand new stamp A Way with Words from
and thought it would be a perfect match for the serene, soft 'ocean-y'
background I was looking for.
The watercolor look is a perfect compliment to the nautical stamps ♥

It's hard to see the shimmer and I have much to learn :)
The only watercolor paper I had on hand is Strathmore
heavy weight watercolor paper, which did just fine.
I inked up two of the stamps in the set with Momento Tuxedo Black
after the watercolor had already set ...
but, I did use a heat embossing tool to speed up the process :)
I added a few sparkly sequins just for good measure -
and while I do LOVE the final cards,
I've much to learn!
I think it's easier said than done,
and I had an ball stamping and water-coloring!

Remember - paper crafting and card making should always be FUN!

Use whatever you have one hand :)
I still tinker with my old watercolor crayons and ...

I even get OLD SCHOOL with my kiddie paints -
{a whoppin' .10¢  at Office Max
during the summer clearance ... can't beat that!}

Be as creative as you want to be ~
enjoy the process, savor the journey ♥

Thanks for stopping by today!
Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!

The Project Bin ~ Coincidence is ....

 Hi friends!

I'm back with another card for The Project Bin
with a very sweet sentiment stamp from A Way with Words stamps
called "Wise Men".
What a fantastic stamp set!

And, I just love this saying ♥
It's such a versatile stamp, too ...
perfect for that pick me up card, sending words of comfort and a cheery hello!

I've paired it with Making Memories paper pad,
added some buttons -
very simple card so the sentiment could be the focal point.

My boys are off camping this weekend with the Boy Scouts
so I'm going to be stamping to my hearts content!
Stay tuned! :)

Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!

Awesomesauce! ~ Design Team news! ♥

 You.  are.  AWESOMESAUCE!!

You might have spied that brand new little design team blinkie ↑
in the corner of my blog!
I am beyond excited
to have been chosen to be on the design team for
 The Project Bin stamps!
The Project Bin is a wonderful acrylic stamp company
with "A Way with Words", inspiring and snappy and lovely sentiment stamps
for our every card making, scrapbook layouts, and papercrafting needs ♥

Sometimes just sayin' what you need to say is enough :)

Since I actually really do say this all the time,
I inked up the Awesome-sauce stamp set first!

I finally got this to work by wiggling the cardstock
through my circular nestibilites ...
stamped in a kiwi kiss color palette and
some fun, sparkly dsp for a pop of color!

I have been going through my computer files
and pulling from old sketches I have had saved 'to try!'
This is the sketch, flipped ↓

You'll be seeing a lot of cards coming up with A Way With Words stamps!

We would be so appreciative if you could take a peek at the various
place we like to hang out,
including the new inspiration blog here.

In fact, if you go to the shop,
click on any photo of any of the stamps and it will take you to the links!
