and I've chosen a new challenge for this week!
Tomorrow is National Shoe the World Day.
Each day, over 500 million children,
teens
and adults around the world do not have a pair of shoes to wear,
and
despite the terrain and the climate, they walk barefoot.
Let's create a card using any shoe - cowboy boots, heels, flip-flops,
to help the awareness to donate any shoes you no longer need.
You can read more on this here at this site.
Even if it's just one pair, it can make a difference!
I used a VERY old Stampin' Up! stamp set called When I Grow Up, circa 2005!
This was one of my very first stamp sets ~
and I actually slated it for donation once, then pulled it back out!
I have used it several times since then ~
this week included.
My card is oh. so. very. simple!
This is one of those have an idea in my head cards
but eh on the actual creation :)
But it's okay ~
it's a day of awareness and attention to a national day of need!
I added the row of shoes to the bottom only ~ stamping it twice.
The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp set.
Here are the shoes my son just put together for church ~
he's outgrown all of them within months!
Growing teenage boys - what's a mom to do!
Be sure to stop by the CCEE Blog and see what the rest of the DT has created!
As always, thanks for stopping by my blog.
Big hugs, bigger blessings!
~Kelly

Kelly, what a great cause to promote/highlight... and the perfect card to go with it! Thank you for reminding us to think of others!
ReplyDeleteLove your challenge which brings attention to this wonderful cause. Most of our closets are full of shoes we most likely will never wear again. This great image is so perfect. Makes me think of those in the world who would love our shoes, no matter how they fit!! An then pair that with this wonderful sentiment!! Nailed it, Kelly!!
ReplyDeleteThis cause is indeed wonderful, Kelly. I love the old image you used for your fun card!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun card -- and congrats to your son for donating his outgrown shoes.
ReplyDeleteWhat a really cute design with the shoe theme Kelly!! Love your challenge!! HUGS
ReplyDeleteThe sentiment and image are the perfect match. Love the coloring of all the different skins and shoes - perfect for National Shoe the World Day! Way to go Kelly!
ReplyDeleteOh Kelly, you are just amazing!!! You have chosen a fabulous challenge as in our world there are too much people in need and also too much waste!!! Donating shoes is a great idea to help someone and your card fits the goal perfectly with that image and sentiment!!! LOVE!!!
ReplyDeleteTomorrow is the day to claim for an immediate action about climate challenge... Perhaps you can sharing the notice... :D People ask this all around the world, following the example of a teenager named Greta. It is called Friday For Future

Great card idea! I do have some shoes I need to take to our church’s clothing giveaway bin! I love your stamp, it is a super one!

ReplyDeleteI do enjoy the CAS look of your card. My 11 year old is down to 2 pairs of shoes - just outgrew everything all at once.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good cause to celebrate. My daughter actually works for a non profit agency and often travels to work in Africa.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute stamp. Love the row of feet so brightly coloured. Good choice to keep it!
Oh this is so adorable! I have this stamp too- so many fun memories of the kids playing dress up and so much $$$ spent on shoes!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Kelly, great image for your challenge. Amazing to think how in some countries people are so poor as to have no shoes, a sad indictment on humanity, Kate x
ReplyDeleteThanks for this terrific challenge, Kelly and for informing us of this need for others. Your old stamp was the perfect "fit" for this challenge.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card and for a good cause ! We also donate shoes and clothes for the poor. How lucky we are to live in a "rich" country. Enny
