Hi friends!
Happy Weekend!
This is another rare weekend for our family where we have
nothing. on. the. calendar!
I love lazy weekends of not having to be here or there.
Today, I watched the sun rise with my warm cuppa,
hearing the birds happily chirping their morning wake up call.
It was a chilly 65* this morning ~ bliss!
Today I have a quick card that I made for Splitcoaststampers ~
Memory Lane and the inspiration challenge.
My brother (a little over a year older than me) and I had an amazingly adventurous childhood, often leaving at dawn and returning at dusk.
Different times indeed!
We'd spend hours having adventures in our towns,
including fishing on the docks and lakes and ponds
with twigs and sticks and a spool of mama's thread!
I've made a CAS card with my Stampabilities Snoopy Stamp
and aqua and white colored cardstocks, run through the Gemini Jr with a die.
The clouds are from My Favorite Things
and, as of now, the inside is blank until I figure out where this will end up!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥
~Kelly

Such lovely childhood memories, Kelly! There were different times, surely! I spent my summer days fishing in the sea with a thread too :D and my neck always was terracotta colour for the sun! :D

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I just LOVE this sweet Snoopy stamp you've used!! What a fantastic scene and memory you've shared here my friend! You have me longing to pull out my Snoopy stamps too!! Wondering if you have kept these stamps and hoarded them or are they still for purchase somewhere?! I've hoarded mine for years! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen Snoopy stamps, but these are so adorable! You need to keep this for your brother's birthday! Love everything about it!

What a great childhood you had Kelly - mine was adventuresome, but not to that degree, but I had plenty of tree climbing and hill rolling and trolley derby fun for all that!
ReplyDeleteLove your card - that is such a gorgeous one - fishing also was a family past time as I grew up, and I still enjoy sitting on a jetty with a line in my hand, feeling the fish biting
Blessings
Maxine
