My first ATC!

Hi friends!

I hope you are having a great start to your week!

It's pouring here today and today is a doctor's appointment

(my daughter, not me!  Whew!)

and then lunch - with me! Yay!)

Today I'm sharing my first ATC from YouTube!

If you follow my channel, you may see this :)

I've been blessed to see my teeny tiny channel grow

and I'm made some really sweet friends!

Kimblery requested ATC cards for her birthday

and I think that's such a splendid idea.

Becuase her request for ATC's actually becomes an address book!

I love that!

It also included adding our information on the back to have handy

and stored all in one place (the ATCs are stored like baseball cards)

along with details that tell her a little about us.

For me, it was easy - Snoopy!

Er'body knows that I'm a HUGE Snoopy and Peanuts fan

so it was a no brainer for me to make this one!

I used my Stampabilities Snoopy Happy Mail stamp

and fussy cut out Snoopy.

I added to a background of patterned paper

and Lawn Fawn stamps, colored with copics.

A HUGE thank you to my son for the playing cards!

He came back from camp with a few missing from this deck

so he kindly donated them for the mission :)

And that's my crafty project for today!

Thanks so much for stopping by :)

Gone Fishin'!

Hi friends!

Happy Weekend!
This is another rare weekend for our family where we have
 nothing. on. the. calendar!

I love lazy weekends of not having to be here or there.
Today, I watched the sun rise with my warm cuppa,
hearing the birds happily chirping their morning wake up call.
It was a chilly 65* this morning ~ bliss!

Today I have a quick card that I made for Splitcoaststampers ~
Memory Lane and the inspiration challenge.
My brother (a little over a year older than me) and I had an amazingly adventurous childhood, often leaving at dawn and returning at dusk.
Different times indeed!

We'd spend hours having adventures in our towns,
including fishing on the docks and lakes and ponds
with twigs and sticks and a spool of mama's thread!
We didn't catch much of anything but we had the best of times ♥

I've made a CAS card with my Stampabilities Snoopy Stamp
and aqua and white colored cardstocks, run through the Gemini Jr with a die.
The clouds are from My Favorite Things
and, as of now, the inside is blank until I figure out where this will end up!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

New blog series: Sunday Comics #1! ♥

Hi friends!
Squeeeeee!!
Today's the day!
I'm super excited for today's post because it's finally launch day
for my new blog series:  The Sunday Comics!

You may have seen this graphic I made for my Instagram page :)
Each Sunday in the month of May,
I'll be bringing some of the Sunday funnies to life through cards!

Growing up as a child, one of my favorite things to do
on Sunday after church was to read the Sunday paper with my dad.
Normally, he would pour through the pages of the news
and he would hand me the treasured comic section :)
There was something so exciting about reading the jokes,
seeing the bright pops of color amidst the black and white newspaper,
and finding my favorites to see what they were up to that week.

Flash forward, I'm absolutely giddy at the idea of remaking
the Sunday funnies (comics)
with a variety of different stamps/companies that are in my collection!
Each card will be different and one of a kind
and based on the idea behind the Sunday comic section :)

AND the best part!!
At the end of this weekly series (last week in May),
I will randomly draw one winner for a *giveaway!*
(see details at the end of this post ↓)

First up, of course, it's Peanuts!
It's no secret that I'm a HUGE Snoopy fan
and some of my most treasured stamps are Charlie Brown and the gang :)

For this card, I started with a large base -
quite possibly the longest card I've ever made!
It's 10" x 3.5" and needed to be large enough to create a storyboard.
I used 3 different Peanuts stamps and arranged them in an order

to tell a story, as the comics often do.

For the sentiments, I used two different stamp sets from Honey Bee Stamps:
Blah Blah Blah and Oh, Snap!

The card base was so fun to put together, pulling from the primary colors
often used in the comics.
I used scraps of red, blue, yellow and green from my scrap pile

and made jig-zaw design, layering it with some contrasting colored cardstock
from Fun Stampers Journey called Rock Candy.

And that's the nostalgic journey through the Sunday comics today
 with Charlie Brown and Snoopy!
Next week's card is much smaller :)
I hope you'll be able to join me with another edition of The Sunday Comics

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥
~Kelly

Crazies: Skating on Thin Ice!

 Happy Weekend!

First, let me apologize for the late post - blogger didn't launch this yesterday
(and it's my human error!  I had it scheduled, then edited the post,
and then left it in draft mode!  SO sorry to the friends at Crazy 4 Challenges!)

And the reason why it's a late post ...
my oldest daughter graduated from college yesterday!
SO SO proud of this young lady ♥
She started University as an intended nurse, changed to being a special needs teacher, specializing in working with children on the Autism/spectrum and has really found her place in the world.
It's a selfless job and she has such a true gift for the field.
So how appropriately on National Superhero Day, she is mine! ♥

She graduated with honors and with an exit scholarship
(either for further schooling or to use for whatever her heart desires!)
and the best part:  DEBT FREE!
Not a single penny in student loans!
Her next step:  her Master's Degree ~ truly the 'world is her oyster'.

Back to the Crazies!
This is my last card as a guest designer for the Crazy 4 Challenges C4C432.
It has been a fun ride, though landed at a truly CRAZY time in my life :)

THIS WEEK:   Play on words ~ Skating on Thin Ice!
I immediately thought of my latest addition to my Peanuts stamp collection ~
Charlie Brown as coach to Snoopy and the Peanuts gang playing ice hockey!
I paired it with a stamp from another stamp set from Some Odd Girl
because, at least to me, it seems like it went hand in hand :)

Here is my card ↓

Thank you to the Crazy4Challenges for chosing me as a GDT for April!
I will still use the challenges as a springboard to create cards of my own
as they are very fun challenges!
Be sure to check them out, too,
as it just may give you an idea for your next card :)

Enjoy the weekend, friends!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

Growing in Unity - Day 3!

Hi friends!

It's Day 3 of the Growing in Unity sharing posts
and I'm back with a holiday card!

I thank you all for stopping by each day to see the how the Unity stamps
are made into cards.
Remember to leave a comment for your chance to win
a generous and wonderful prize package from Unity Stamp Co!

Today's card is using one of my very favorite holiday images ♥
Most of you know, I'm a HUGE Charlie Brown and Snoopy fan
and when I spied this 'small stuff' Unity stamp awhile back,
I scooped it right up!

It reminded me so much of Charlie Brown's tree
but more importantly, the matching sentiment stamp really spoke to my heart.

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Be sure to see what tomorrow brings using another wonderful
Unity Stamp Co stamp and sentiment ♥

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

CCEE1747 ~ Holiday Stash Card

HaPpY tHaNKsGiViNg!

I wish each and every one of you a very blessed
and wonderful Thanksgiving!
There is truly something so wonderful about this day,
surrounded by family and friends, sharing a loving meal.
I send you blessings of gratitude for your friendship ♥

Although we are celebrating Thanksgiving today,
today's card is a festive and whimisical Christmas card :)
That's because the CCEE Stampers post every Thursday,
and Joanne wanted us to make a 'holiday stash card",
as she shares here:

This week we are going to make a card for our holiday stash. You can make a Christmas card, a New
Year’s card, or a winter card….. whichever you think you need the most for your stash.

 Thanks, Joanne!
I definitely need to have a few more Christmas cards in my stash.
Because this week was absolutely bonkers busy,
I used this adorable Snoopy image that I colored last month
and quickly assembled it into a card.
The papers are from Doodlebug and I colored it with prismacolor markers.

FUN FACT!
A Charlie Brown Christmas debuted in 1965 and has never missed
a year being televised on TV!
We watched it as kids faithfully each year when we lived in the US,
and now I watch it with my own children ♥

Be sure to stop in the CCEE Stampers blog list
and see what the other girls have made this week!
If you link up your card, use the keyword CCEE1747.

Have a great Thanksgiving!
If you head out for some shopping, be safe!

Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

Go fly a kite! ♥

YAY - it's Friday!

We made it through the week, friends!
For us, the weekend is as massively crazy busy as this week has been ~
but sometimes weekends are like that :)

Wednesday was National Kite Day ♥

I just smiled when I heard that as it brings back wonderfully happy memories.
My dad would make homemade kites with my brother and I
out of tree branches that had fallen in our yard
and sheets of newspaper and twine.
We'd clap and squeal and get so excited to see them lift off the ground.
In hindsight, I'm sure they didn't really fly that well but in my head,
I remember them reaching the moon!

Here is the inside - plain but ready for the message :)

The next time I use this stamp, I think I'll make Charlie Brown's
kite out of newsprint, too :)
I'm going to send it to my brother - now in Germany -
and see if he picks up the kite flying adventure memories, too ;)

Wishing you a fabulous weekend,
whatever it is you are out there doing!

Big hugs, bigger blessings
~Kelly
