Hello friends!
It's time for my very favorite challenge ~ One Plus Twelve!
This card series is where I take one stamp
(and JUST one stamp)
and create a card twelve times - one for each month.
For June's card, I went shabby chic!
For my stamp this year,
I've chosen the butterfly stamp from PInk Fresh Studio:
and thought I'd go way outside the box this month!
I adore creating in new styles and learning new techniques
so that my cards aren't always cookie cutter.
I have recently been bitten by the journaling bug
and making my own tags, pages, flip books, pockets, etc
and many are in a shabby chic style.
So, my butterfly this month is as well!
On one side of the butterfly, it's stamped in designer paper
but the other side didn't have any design - it was plain.
Perfect!
It quickly became the palette for being able to build texture and layer.
I used a stiched arch die to pop up the frame to emulate a cathedral
window overlooking a beautiful garden below.
Yeah ... that's how my mind often works, LOL!
The sentiment is an epoxy word I've had for years in a set
and looks similiar to a style you'd see from a label maker.
I'm showing the inside because I added the 'popped out frame'
to the inside and carried over the shabby chic-ness.
This so very sweet and I'm pleased with how it turned out :)
My friends Barb and Jeanette have joined me
this year again and have their own cards on their blogs
which you can see here:
That's it for today!
Thanks for stopping by!
