You bring me JOY!

Hi friends!

You may remember this commercial for the Cadbury Egg tryouts,
where different animals auditioned to be the bunny!
I just love it and how cute it is,
seeing each of the cute animals trying so hard to be the bunny ♥
It reminds us to be our unique and authentic selves,
and do the simple things ..
like find the joy in every day!

This HOPPY set of cards for the online spring card class
is taught by Julie Ebersole!
I loved her clean and simple style cards ~ it's relaxing and serene,
just what I've needed lately!

I have a bunch of cards to mail this week
so I chose a joyful stamp and die set that's whimsical and sweet ♥

For my card duo today, I've used a My Favorite Things
stamp and die set 'Bubble Over With Joy'.

I've colored one card partly with colored pencils like Julie did
and one with promarkers.
Even though I've used a heavyweight #100 cardstock,
it's a one layer CAS card so even lighthanded, markers can seep :)

Here's a peek at the inside, lifted flap:

Thanks for hopping over to my blog today!

Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

F.Y.I ~ *Extra! Extra! Read All About It!*

Happy Fri-Yay, friends!

You may remember from this post my F.Y.I ~  Find Your Inspiration blog series!
I have several coming up which I'm super excited to share! :)

I have a new series I'm about to debut, too!
Double YAY!
While doing some research for that, I came across this photo.

It reminded me of the countless movies and shows that I've seen
with a little boy standing with a bag of newspapers,
shouting "Extra! Extra! Read all about it!"
hoping to attract customers and deliver sales to make a small day's wage.

That image is one of those that kinda stays with you.
At the mere mention, you nod your head and said "yes! I know exactly the one!"
Maybe, like me, you can't quote the specific movie or show,
but you remember it :)
I've been meaning to make some cards for my brother.
He's an officer in the Army stationed in Germany but on temporary duty in Italy.
Yes, Italy!
I tried and tried to tell him I needed to go with him to be his translator!
He said, "Kelly. You don't speak Italian!"
I know, so there's that ........ but still.  It's Italy!"
Needless to say, I didn't get to join him - LOL!

So the next best thing?
Send him some homemade cards!
So he can send them to our mom!
Yep, he's kinda lacking that way.

I was VERY lucky while shopping for a friend at Hobby Lobby
to stumble on that big clearance sale they had on stamps.
I scooped up quite a few stamps like this one as I it was
just what I was looking for to make simple, CAS cards!

I've made him a stack of these, added envelopes, and will ship
these off to his home in Germany!
I know when he's home from where he didn't take me from his temporary duty,
they'll be waiting for him to have on hand.

And that's my inspiration for this week!
Remember, the world is filled with inspiration and creativity ~
reach out and make it yours! ♥

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

Mondays with the Project Bin: Simply Pawsome ♥

Happy Monday!

It's Spring Break here and the kids are on a 1 week holiday ....
 wooooooohoooooo!
Not only do I get to see 'the babies' a little more this week,
but I won't be on the road as much,
driving to the schools and here and there and everywhere :)

I. am.  one.  happy.  mama!

Mondays are always a fun day on my blog because it's the day
I post my card for The Project Bin stamps on the DT inspiration blog
I needed a quick and easy thank you card
so I grabbed my Kinda Pawsome stamp and die set.
This stamp set is so fun and so versatile!

One of my crafty goals this year has been to use up my scraps of dsp ~
so this little piece of plaid paper got to be center stage!
I stamped out the puppy in Stazon black ink
and then ran it through the Cuttlebug with the matching puppy die.
Propped up on some 3d foam, and a little banner with the matching sentiment
and some enamel dots and this cheerful thank you card is done √

Here is the stamp/die set that I used:

And just a reminder: April is autism awareness month!
Denise has made a special stamp set, Spencer's Set
and it's on sale this month.
You can read all about Spencer and the stamp set here :)

Thanks for stopping by!
Big hugs, bigger blessings!
