Happy Easter with Cottontail Cuties!

Hello, friends!

This is such a beautiful time of year here ~ spring is in the air!
This is one of my favorite times,
the blossom of newness and the promise of a wonderful beginning.
While some of my friends are still under a blanket of snow,
I'm sure the sun will peek out soon and the earth will awaken :)

And spring means Easter!
Since I'm up on the Drive by Crafts blog today,
I thought an Easter card would be perfect to showcase,
especially with the absolutely adorable Cottontail Cuties from Neat and Tangled!

Oh.  Be.  Still.  My.  Heart!

The moment I spied this, it reminded me so much of my daughters
and the years of Easter egg hunts in our back yard,
including the famous golden egg!
Oh how they searched and searched for those prized eggs!!
(I would have, too, since we hid some big money inside - usually $20!)
Hmmmm,
maybe the Easter Bunny will hide one this year - for moms! LOL!

Here's how I made my Happy Easter card ...
and colored them with Prismacolor markers in colors that would match
the designer paper I'd already picked out as 'flowers + grass'.
I used the N + T nice and neat dies and my Cuttlebug to cut the images out,
and then set those aside to assemble my card base.

The card base is a simple A2 size card using heavy weight card stock.
The scallop insert has Doodlebug paper that I cut with a stitched die
which is actually a speech bubble!  I re-purposed it as a hill :)
The paper was so bright and vivid against the stark white,
it just gives is such a pop!
Since I wanted the card to have some dimension,
I added 3d foam behind all of the elements to make them stand out.

And that's my Easter card ~
total cuteness overload ♥
I'll be using this set over and over ~ so many different possibilities,
and that's what usually catches my eye with a stamp/die set ..
the many ways to use it, including all year 'round if I can :)

You can find the supplies that I made this card with and many more
Take a peek and stock up on some of your must haves,
including new releases from many companies and some great deals
in the clearance section, too!

Thanks so much for stopping by ~
your sweet words warm my heart and brighten my world, truly ♥

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

Happy National Pig Day!

Hi friends!
Happy March!

According to the Vicky,  hostess for the month of March in the CCEE Stampers,
  today is National Pig Day!

And since today is my day to post over at Drive By Crafts DT blog,
I thought I'd showcase the new Avery Elle Critter Crew Birthday stamp
which features, among the cute animals, a pig!!

Here are some fun facts!
* Pigs are routinely listed as some of the world's smartest animals, with cognitive abilities on par with those of chimpanzees, dogs and dolphins.

* The gestation period of a pig is easy to remember at 3 months, 3 weeks and 3 days (for a total of 114 days).

* Pigs were first brought to the New World by Christopher Columbus on his second voyage in 1493, along with horses, dogs, cattle, chickens, sheep and goats.

* Pigs communicate primarily through vocalizations and can make more than 20 different sounds, including oinks, grunts and squeals.

Now my card with the cute little pig and his friends is from the new
line of Avery Elle stamps that arrived at Drive By Crafts.
I made my card using one of my favorite lines ~ doodlebug paper,
and the fun shaker filling called Itty Bitty Shaker Fun.
After stamping out the Critter Crew onto heavy weight white cardstock
with momento tuxedo ink, I colored it with my prismacolor markers.

And here is the inside of my card ~ stamped with a matching sentiment
from the set and the image partially again.

You can find more inspiration for cards at the Drive By Crafts blog
and of course, look around in the shop for stamping goodies!

Stop in to the CCEE Stampers blog to see how the DT
made their cards today for National Pig Day ♥

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

CCEE1807 ~ Tic Tac Toe!

Good Morning, friends!

I have two blog posts today ~
for my DDD card, please check back as it will be up shortly :)

It's my 3rd week to host the CCEE Stampers and this week,

I thought I'd shake things up a bit and create a Tic Tac Toe,
selecting any row of 3 to use as a card base creation!
I had great fun coming up with the chart ~
but even more fun making my card ♥

For today's card, I actually CASE-d one of my own here.
I used the diagonal column of a critter, love theme and sequins.
I switched it up to add a different color palette and dsp behind the
peek-a-boo striped die-namic heart from MFT.

I colored/cut the critters and then paper pieced his shirt
from the same dsp, tilted to the side to mix up the stripe direction.

This card is one that I gave to my husband ....
we have a little joke going on with my cards to him.

I always tell him "hang on to this one, honey.
One day I'll be famous!"  :)

Oh! The stamp set/dies for this card were found at Drive by Crafts
It's a fun online store with lots of goodies in the shop!

If you'd like to play along with our theme this week,
and we'd love it if you do,
please use the keyword CCEE1807!
And be sure to stop by the blog to see what the girls made this week!

Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

Drive by Crafts ~ Celebrate!

Hi friends!

More importantly, she has amazing stamps and dies and goodies in her store!
Including a wonderful assortment of stamps in the clearance section ~
ANd, yes ~ there's more! ~ shipping is economical and FAST!

Here's what I love so much about stamps ...
finding ways to stretch their use and make your purchase
affordable AND smart!
is now a Celebration Box bunny!

Here's how I made this delightful card:

First, I stamped out the box stamp from the set onto designer paper,

then cut that out, paper pieced it with paper from Illustrated Faith.
Using heavy weight #110 white cardstock, I used my distress oxide
ink in broken china to create a background.
I stamped the bunny in the same cardstock and cut that out as well,
and layered it behind the box because
the stamped/colored gift was going in it.
Next, I stamped out some confetti swirls from the Celebration Box stamp set
and added some berrylicious sequins to finish the card.

You can find the products I used on this card at Drive By Crafts
store and so much more ~
reasonable prices, fast shipping, amazing customer service!
Please note that Annette @Drive By Crafts has had to take emergency leave
home but will be back in her store shipping very soon!

Drive By Crafts ~ Valentine Shaker Card ♥

Hi friends!

I'm up on the Drive By Crafts blog today with a Valentine's shaker card
using wonderful products from the Drive By Crafts online store!
This festive shaker card includes
some fun products from My Favorite Things and Lawn Fawn,
and it's just in time to inspire your Valentine's Day cards ♥
Drive by Crafts has a wonderful assortment of stamps and die-namics
from MFT ~ perfect for mixing and matching, too, like I've done here.

Let me show you how I made this fun card!
Using the Peek-a-Boo striped heart die-namic, I created a die cut
in heavy weight cardstock to create a top layer.
I added a sheet of Lawn Fawn: Let's Polka In the Meadow
to the bottom, and filled my shaker card striped heart window
with berrylicious sequins  ~ so sparkly and glitzy!
When it was time to close the shaker card,
I used a heavy duty foam tape.

Next, I stamped, colored and die-cut MFT's Snuggle Bunnies
stamp and die-namic set.
I added those to the card using a quick and fast drying Nuvo glue medium pen and then added the matching sentiment from Snuggle Bunnies.
And voilà!
The card is complete and ready to send to your special someone ♥

I love this fun die-namic and already have a second card made
to show you soon!

Drive By Crafts ~ Wood You?

Hi friends!

How completely adorable is this darling woodchuck!
It's from the Avery Elle stamps and available in the shop at
I'm up on the DBC blog today,
I thought I'd show you a little more detail about my card.

I stamped and colored the sweet little woodchuck, tree stump
and flowers which are all from the set.
I scissor cut all 3 of those
~ the Tim Holtz non-stick micro serated mini snips are perfect
for precise cutting and little nooks and crannies!
I made created the background with beautiful paper from
Pink Paislee: Birthday Bash 6 x 6 paper pad,
and a circular die for 'faux' grass.

Lastly, I added the stamped/cut images to the card
using some of my favorite glue, Nuvo glue!
This is really magnificent and dries clear and quick and doesn't warp
the cardstock or patterned paper!
The darling woodchuck is popped up on
3D foam variety pack from Scrapbook Adhesives
I really love how it pops up, giving the card extra dimension.
And although I cut today's stamped image with scissors,
there is a matching die set for this Avery Elle Wood You?
How sweet is this!

You can see more inspiration on the blog:
and stop in the store and add some of your favorite stamps to your stash!

Drive By Crafts ~ Hope Your Birtthday is a SMASH!

Hi friends!

*I have 2 posts today!
For my Growing In Unity Day 2, click here!

Today I'm posting on the Drive By Crafts blog
and every Tuesday, I'll share with you a new card I've made
with the amazing products from the store!

Are you ready to FIESTA?!
This cheerful, festive birthday card was created by
products from Drive By Crafts online store!

Here's what I did ~
I stamped/die cut/colored the Lawn Fawn Year Seven stamp set
and set that aside to assemble the card base.
Drive By Crafts has an wonderful assortment of Lawn Fawn stamps
and what's fun is the ability to scoop up a few and mix and match :)

I propped up the images on 3d foam and glued the paper to the back
using my very favorite glue - Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive glue.
If you haven't used this glue, you need to and I highly recommend it ...
it drives fast and clear and the paper doesn't get warped or wonky!

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set
onto white cardstock and used it as a banner.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Big hugs, Bigger blessings!
~Kelly

*Exciting news to share!*

Oh friends,
today's the day!!
I have been keeping some super exciting news
under wraps and can finally share!

First, today is my daughter's 21st Birthday ♥
Yes, 3 daughters, and all of them with a birthday in December!  Gah!
Happy Birthday to my *baby*, Chrissy!
We have a fun afternoon planned and her birthday party at a restaurant this evening and we are all looking forward to the celebratory night of 20-fun!

*My news!*
I am over the moon excited to have been chosen to be on the
Drive By Crafts Design Team!
Annette, owner of Drive by Crafts, is such a sweetheart
and has an amazing online store filled with products
from so many companies on the market.
There is truly something for everyone
and she ships lightening fast!
Starting in January, I'll be posting on the Drive By Crafts blog
so stay tuned to see some inspiration made with products that you can buy.
I'm absolutely thrilled to be on the DBC team
and honored to creating along such the other talented designers.
Be sure to grab your favorite cuppa and stop on by
and check out Drive By Crafts and browse and shop ♥

Today's also the day that the Ready, Set, Go! Challenge cards are posted
with Barb, Jeanette and myself.
The R, S, G challenge isn't an ordinary card challenge - it's out of the box!
We think of ways to REALLY stretch our creative minds,
and this month, Barb chose a theme of:  Fancy Folds.

 I made a fancy tent :)
I went with a tent fold style card because this card is for my daughter.
It's a super fun and a fairly easy fold and props upward as a keepsake
yet folds flat into an A2 size envelope.
Brilliant!
The rest of the card was die cutting the heart shapes with an MFT die,
stamping and die cutting the Cool Day bear, and
fastening it to a card base.
Super quick coloring with my prismacolor markers and then it just assembly.

Since there is not an inside to this card, I added the sentiment
to the back and a little matching heart ♥

Thank you for taking this exciting journey on my blog today!
I'm truly humbled and walking on Cloud 9 ~
and I hope today's card gives you some creative inspiration :)

The holidays are fast approaching ~
be well, be merry, be wonderful!

 Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥
~Kelly
