Happy Wednesday, friends!

 Today's the 9th day of the month, 

the day the 3M post our cards with the SAME image.

This month, our hostess was Barb and she sent us

 this adorable turkey from Whipper Snapper, Taggart Turkey.

WS is her *signature* stamp line :)

  And she's lucky enough to live close to Creative Pals, 

a store that carries tons of these Whipper Snapper stamps - 

a store I hope to see in real life soon ♥

This is my take on this month's image :)

I colored it pretty general and added it to a bold framed card base.

I cut the image on a 'wonky' angle to give the card

a switch up from being too precise.

The bold sentiment is actually from the same dsp paper pack

and it's a printed piece of dsp with tons of words.

I cut ot the one that matched the best :)

The inside is a little plain on this one, 

but as you can see, the card has a lot of dimension:

CCEE1744 ~ Thanks!

Happy November!

Can you believe it - this year is flying by!

Before we know it, it's Thanksgiving 

and then Christmas and a brand new year ♥

For this week's theme at the CCEE Stampers,

Joanne is our hostess and challenged us to create a card with thanks.

Here are her words:

This month I am going to keep it simple.  The holidays are coming, and times will be busy. 
This will be a month of celebrations.  This week I would like you to make a Thanksgiving card
OR a card of thanks.

I decided to create a Thanksgiving card for 2 reasons.

First, and most importantly, I needed one :)

And second, I was so very lucky to win a digital stamp

from 2 Cute Ink in their Instagram contest ♥

Isn't it cute!

 

This little turkey was colored to match the watercolor

background piece that was originally on my card.  

The small square around the sentiment was originally a window frame die.

It wasn't quite what I wanted, so I peeled her up 

and attached her to this watercolored background.

The turkey is 3d ~ printed, then printed again and fussy cut,

and popped up on 3d foam so sideways, there's a lot of dimension going on!

 

These colors are very bright and bold.

The pigment in the Kuretake Gansai Tambi 

set of watercolors is AH-MAY-ZING!!

I am so in love - these watercolors are just dreamy ♥

I did color the turkey with my prismacolor markers, the rest is paint!

Cornish Heritage Farms: Grateful ♥

 

Good Morning!

 

It's time for a new challenge at Cornish Heritage Farms

 and I'm the hostess of this week's challenge choice :) 

With Thanksgiving is right around the corner,

I challenged the team to create a card with theme of Gratitude

and a bonus to use the color brown.

 

Thanksgiving is a pretty big deal in our home ♥

It's my husband's very favorite holiday

and we are the hosts each year, a tradition I

inherited after my mom tossed in her apron saying she'd paid her dues, LOL!

I love the prepping and baking and cooking and watching the Macy's day parade and all that comes with our special day.

But I confess I also crack up at the memory of being HUGELY pregnant

with our 3 daughters,

all born in December, 2 years apart :)

Every time I look back at those pictures,

 I was ginormous and so very, very pregnant

and looked like I was as stuffed as the poor birds were!

At least our son cut me some slack and was born in September ♥

 

But I digress! 

 For my card, I used the adorable digi

turkey in the pumpkin patch to create the card front ...

 used miminal dsp and kept the card design fairly simple.

I continued the same pattern/style to the inside of the card

with another digi, Happy Thanksgiving.

Brown is a beautiful color, especially at this time of year,

so for the bonus, I chose that as my cardstock base.

Both of these digis are available in the CHF store and

are immediate downloads.
