Riley and Company - New Stamp Release! :)

Good Morning, friends!!
First, thank you SO MUCH for the sweet words on my son's card!
He was super embarrassed, turned a few shades of red, but said "thank you to all the nice people!"
So, thank you Nice People! :)

I can't believe it's already Monday!!
This weekend was action packed and over so quickly

We spent the weekend camping in the Everglades
with our little guy and his Boy Scout troop :)
Now, I am so not a camper!
But seeing these young men growing and learning,
gaining such incredible life experience through these outings is truly priceless ♥

I did manage to make some cards last week ~
including two you'll see posted today since it's the 9th (the day the 3M's post)
and a brand new Riley and Company week of releases!
Stay tuned, as this new release has 17 new Funny Bones satmps
and 9 Inspiration stamps.
And funny they are!  As I was creating my cards,
I was home alone just laughing (out loud!) by myself ..
These stamps are available to purchase in the Riley and Company Store Friday, Nov. 13th!

For today's card, since it's Monday, and we've been camping allllllllll weekend
and well, I love my coffee!!!!, I thought I'd show you one of my favorites of the new release:
Without my Coffee ...

I hope you can stop back to see my 3M card, too -
AND, all week, the Riley and Company Inspiration Team
will be showcasing all the wonderful new stamps!  Stay tuned! :)

And here it is :)
This image was sent to us by Jeanette this month, her turn to host!
It's a gorgeous leaf image which is a beautiful reflection of Fall!
I didn't really know how to incorporate such a striking image into a card,
and can't say I'm happy with my end result,
but I decided to stop messing with it and "leaf" it alone :)
Thank you, Jeanette and Barb, for your friendship!

  Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!
~Kelly

Riley and Company - Summer Fun!

Hi friends!

It's time for a new Riley and Company challenge,
the cutest little Moose that ever was!
This week, our challenge is ~ Summer Fun!

Our summer has had all kinds of wonderfulness,
but one of our favorite past-times is just being still.
Because of how hot it is here during the day,
the backyard breaths full of life in the coolness of the evenings -
the kids, us, the dogs ...
all head outdoors to enjoy the beauty of our tropics!
When the kids were little, we build them a wooden play fort,
tree house, slide, bridge, pirate rope, jungle gym, swing set play set.
It's a utopia of wooden bliss :)

It's a beautiful thing to see all 4 kids all lined up on their swings ...
no longer little, but still loving their space ♥

My humble card offering today is using Swinging Riley ~
created with scraps in my bin and using a very old sketch in my files.
The buttons were on my desk and were a nearly perfect match -
You know they had to be on the card :)

Hey, You!

  Yes ... you!
 How are ya?!

:)

That's actually the name of the Basic Grey mat stack that I used
to create today's card - "Hey You!"
It's also new card challenge time at Riley and Company stamps ...
this week, our hostess is Heather and she's asked us to paper piece!
My very, very favorite technique in crafting ♥

Today's card is sunny, cheerful, SIMPLE!
I've used Sunflower Riley for today's card,
paper-piecing the flower :)
It's not quite the card I was aiming for or the design I saw in my head *smile!*
but I was thrilled to use up so many of the paper scraps in my bin.

We'd love for you to play along, of course!
You can link up your Riley and Company cards using any of
the stamps carried in the store to the challenge blog here!
If you use a gallery, please use the keyword Riley0415  ~
we'll stop by and leave some love ♥

I hope you have a great day &
thanks so much for stopping by!

Big Hugs, Bigger Blessings!

Changing Leaves ♥

Good morning!

Have you ever had this much fun with buttons?!
I sure did!

One of the most glorious times of year is the "changing of the leaves",
especially for those fortunate enough to live much further North :}
There is something so profound and tangible when Autumn arrives ....
from the delightful new crispness in the air, the leaves bursting into a kaleidoscope of colors, big comfy sweaters, Pumpkin Spice Lattes!
I love Autumn and the beautiful promise that this time of year holds ♥

I thought way outside the box with my card today using
Just For Fun rubber stamps.
And I had an absolute blast doing so!
I sat and sorted through my huge containers of buttons
in every color, shape and size.
I inked up the uber fabulous Stamptangle Tree stamp
from Just For Fun stamps (stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black),
gave it a quick monotone brush of color with Prismacolor markers
(walnut, light umber)
and glued down a variety of 'leaves = buttons' for a unique Fall look!

The deeply etched rubber makes for a great, clear stamped impression.
And so versatile!  I can picture this stamp being in the 4 seasons -
back again for Winter, snow clinging to the branches to the
beautiful blossoms of Spring.  The possibilities are endless.

Thanks so much for your visit today!

Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!
~Kelly

Christmas in July!

Hi friends!

I hope your weekend is bound to have fun moments and happy memories!
Thank you for the well-wishes ♥
I'm feeling slightly better and moving on forward as we're still
enjoying summer here before the dreaded 'back to school'
in just a couple of weeks! :(

Did you know there is 152 days left until Christmas!
I know, hard to fathom!
But it's true -- and although it seems like a lot of days,
we started with 365 ... and almost half of those are gone - WOW!

Riley and Company's bi-weekly challenge is Christmas in July.
That's always a fun theme!

Most of my stash of Rileys actually include winter/Christmas theme :)
They are not only super cute but make adorable holiday cards,
and you can cater them to just about any profession, theme, etc!
For today's card, I used Wreath Riley and paired it with some holiday papers.
You can find this Riley and many, many more right here in the shop!

Of course, we'd love for you to play along!
If you upload your card/project to Splitcoast Stampers please include the keyword Riley1514.

Thanks for stopping by!

Big Hugs, Bigger Blessings!
~Kelly
