The Library Card: Book 3!

Hello friends!

I hope your weekend is going well!
This is my 3rd post (but not 3rd card!) for The Library Card,
a blog series combining my love of books and Starbucks and card-making!

Oh, how I love my Unity Stamps ~
and am SO EXCITED to be a Growing in Unity girl this year!
It's a long way until November, but so worth the wait :)

For today's library read, I've decided to create a card
on a book that was recently loaned to me.
I oogled it when it came out and hit the bookstores,
and was happy to sit and actually read it and peruse the beautiful pictures
and note some recipes.
And Reese has a book club!
Say. No. More!

Today's library selection:

Whiskey in a Teacup
by Reese Witherspoon

Book Cover:

My card:

I've been organizing my Unity Stamp Co collection by theme ~
and found I have a lot of coffee themed stamps!
(I have a lot of coffee themed stamps of every kind, really!)
I decided to use Kimmie Girl for this book cover ♥

For my card, I created a base using designer paper
and stamping Kimmie right onto the cardstock.
After die cutting the image and the matching sentiment,
I arranged the card to fit onto the card and added some buttons.
(And pssst!  Kimmie is on sale this week!)

 My favorite quote
"I don't have a ton of free time, so when it comes to short cuts and good-enough-ing, I have been there and store-bought that."

It's fun to have another book in The Library Card shelf! :)

I have a few more books checked out ~
I wonder what I'll read next?!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

Celebrating National Refreshment Day!

 Hi friends!

Oh. Me. Oh. My!
It's been so long since I've been able to craft/blog/visit -
but I'm hoping our summer is settling a little bit!

Today I'm back with a card for the CCEE Stampers
and our hostess, Lynn, asked us to create a card for
National Refreshment Day.

Naturally, I have a Starbucks cup of coffee for my drink of choice!

This little cutie from a Love Cynthia stamp set
stole my heart when I saw her popping up on Instagram!
These stamp sets came all the way from France!
I ordered 2 sets (one coffee related, and one you'll see soon!)
and was able to get most of the shipping saved by a coupon offered
during National Scrapbooking Day - yay!

To create my card, I used Bermuda Bay cardstock from SU!
and dsp from American Crafts.
I stamped/fussy cut the coffee girl and the word coffee,
and the other part of the sentiment is printed right onto the dsp.
She's colored with Procolor markers and a few enamel dots
completed the card.

And here's the inside look with another sentiment ♥

Be sure to stop in the CCEE blog and see what the rest of the DT has made!
It's bound to be refreshing!

Thanks for stopping by!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Hi friends!

Today's the day!
I'm flying off to meet some wonderful crafty friends for a 5 day getaway ~
oh, the shenanigans crafting we will be doing! :)

And that's just what today's card is ~
the 3 Musketeers card this week was this darling image from Barb.
And the CCEE Stampers theme this week from Liz
was "Baby, it's cold outside" so this card fits both needs ♥

These 4 friends are from Art Impressions and they sure
look they are bundled up from some cold weather -
hats, scarves, UGG boots and COFFEE!

I'm convinced I am the one in the green ~
just look at her face looking at that big 'ol Starbucks.
I have that same look when they hand me mine - LOL!

So here is my 3M/CCEE card ~ friends, crisp cool air, coffee ♥

Sorry my post is short and sweet today ~
I'm typing as I'm packing :)

You can see what the other CCEE  Stampers have made
with cold weather cards here

And Barb's card and Jeanette's card are here!

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

I'm just waiting ....

.... to see if my coffee chooses to use its powers for good or evil today!
Hee hee!

I'm back with another Riley and Company card
for the Tuesday card bonanza,
cards from Riley's Team 1 DT!

This was pretty much what I wanted to do today :)
After a bustling and wonderfully fun Christmas with
our kids, gift exchanges, our bountiful meal, the spirit of love around us!

Today,
I sat.

Well, I did walk the dogs,
...and do the laundry,
and the dishes,
and cooked dinner,
and cleaned,
AND played games with the kids!

Yep, not much sitting - LOL!
But I did get to make a few cards, too!
Santa's elves were very, VERY good to me
and I was gifted the mini MISTI and some new stamps and dies! :)
I love my little elves! ♥

And this is the inside of the card - left blank for a message later :)

Using my UM coffee Riley
and the funnybones sentiment powers for good or evil
I created this bright and cheerful card -
added a few flowers and buttons and done!

You can find this stamp and more in the shop,
as well as the inspiration from the DT at Stamper's Ink blog.

Thanks for stopping by!
Big hugs, bigger blessings!

Riley and Company - New Stamp Release! :)

Good Morning, friends!!
First, thank you SO MUCH for the sweet words on my son's card!
He was super embarrassed, turned a few shades of red, but said "thank you to all the nice people!"
So, thank you Nice People! :)

I can't believe it's already Monday!!
This weekend was action packed and over so quickly

We spent the weekend camping in the Everglades
with our little guy and his Boy Scout troop :)
Now, I am so not a camper!
But seeing these young men growing and learning,
gaining such incredible life experience through these outings is truly priceless ♥

I did manage to make some cards last week ~
including two you'll see posted today since it's the 9th (the day the 3M's post)
and a brand new Riley and Company week of releases!
Stay tuned, as this new release has 17 new Funny Bones satmps
and 9 Inspiration stamps.
And funny they are!  As I was creating my cards,
I was home alone just laughing (out loud!) by myself ..
These stamps are available to purchase in the Riley and Company Store Friday, Nov. 13th!

For today's card, since it's Monday, and we've been camping allllllllll weekend
and well, I love my coffee!!!!, I thought I'd show you one of my favorites of the new release:
Without my Coffee ...

I hope you can stop back to see my 3M card, too -
AND, all week, the Riley and Company Inspiration Team
will be showcasing all the wonderful new stamps!  Stay tuned! :)

And here it is :)
This image was sent to us by Jeanette this month, her turn to host!
It's a gorgeous leaf image which is a beautiful reflection of Fall!
I didn't really know how to incorporate such a striking image into a card,
and can't say I'm happy with my end result,
but I decided to stop messing with it and "leaf" it alone :)
Thank you, Jeanette and Barb, for your friendship!

  Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!
~Kelly
