Hi friends!
I'm getting a late start to my day ~
but here with a great big mess!
It's been that kind of week so it's fitting :)
Today's card is for the Hot Mess = Success card group
where we make messes!
Although I'm not a messy person by nature,
it's fun with cards because it really gets the creative process going.
And it's no secret that I ADORE watercoloring!
So this month's mess …. inks, water, paper and a brush!
My card really does look like a hot mess!
I placed an order with Whipper Snapper stamps awhile back
and added a few cuties to my cart
along with a TON of fun sentiments, like this one!
They are very affordable and easy to mix and match
so I thought it was time to stamp and play with Curious Bunny.
The messy part?
inks and water!
I have an intentionally pink bunny ~ I was going for a cartoon-y look.
I stamped the image in Stazon and added the sentiment first,
and then used several distress inks cubes to my pallet.
For the bunny, I mixed Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar on the palette,
dipped my brush soaked in water into the mixture and painted.
I did the same for the sky (Speckled Egg) and the grass (Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn, mixed) for vibrant colors.
I did have a little bit of seapage ~ compliments of rushing
and not using my heat gun in between colors
so I'm calling this one an "it is what it is" card!
mmmmm k!
My friends in the Hot Mess Success made cards, too
and you can see Barb's card, Jeanette's card, and Terry's card on their blogs.
I have a FABULOUS idea in mind for next month ...
I'm just hoping I can find the products and make it happen!
Sometimes I see things in my head
and bringing them to fruition is a whole 'nother thing!
Thanks for stopping by!
Big hugs, bigger blessings :)
~Kelly
