Hey girl!

Hi friends!

Today I have a post for my friend's card group on Instagram!

We are in the 2nd year of this fun group and

  once a month, she randomly

chooses 2 choices of cards from the Color Cubes, both editions.

We can chose either card as a springboard to create.

I chose card #107 from the choices:

the vibrant plums and fushias were calling me!

I used the Simon Says Stamp Tucked Hearts stamp

and embossed with gold accents for a POP

and Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors to build up the bold colors.

I also added a simple die cut Hey Girl! to the front :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Love spending time with you!

Hi friends!

Today I have a card share for a themed IG card group.

I have a short video as well with a super sped up

version of this being made -

30 minutes shoved into 1 minute, LOL!

Lots of splicing and speeding up!

For this card, I used my Staedtler Pigment Art Pens

and just love how vibrant they are!

They blend easy and have so much richness to their colors!

I used Love Is In The Air from Simon Says Stamp,

such a fun set!

One last look:

In traditional Kelly colors, I went with cheerful and happy

when coming up with this card design.

The outer border die is Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle die,

Happy PAW-lidays!

Hi friends!

Wishing you a very Happy PAW-liday!

This was a fun card I created for an Instagram hop

that I put togethera few months ago.

It was an eagerly awaited hop part 2 of the

Spectacular Stamptember!

A group of friends and I were chatting about our love

of the Simon Says Stamp Stamptember sets

that we put our heads together for a fun hop!

AND we loved it so much,

we continued with a Winter theme: Winter Stamptember!

I used the Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp collab set

Home for the PAWlidays

and included a piece of patterned paper from Lawn Fawn

for the 'snowy' background :)

This was a fun card to create ~

very "KELLY" with the bright colors and whimsy!

And we have 2 rescue pups so it warms my heart

knowing they have a FUR-ever home.

Thanks for stopping by!

Easy Glue Printing - Wednesday Tutorial SCS!

 Hi friends!

Today I have the honor of being a guest designer

to host the tutorial of the week for Splitcoaststampers

so it looks like we'll be 'stuck' together for this one!

Hee hee!

I've made several samples (scroll, scroll away!)

and a whole video which you can see here:

It's fun, creative and easier than it looks!

You'll need some school glue (you know you got some!),

acrylic paints (or watercolors but mix them up THICK!)

and some cardboard (from all those Christmas packing you are getting!)

and this tutorial right here will help you create these amazing

backgrounds for your cards.

For this first card, I used tones of pink and peach for the background.

I added a tree from Tim Holtz Sizzix collection and added

it the front of the card as a focal point with a little sentiment.

The beauty of this technique is each one is unique

and different and none will ever be the same!

I've also kept the fun going and make a shaker card edition:

Here's a close up of the snow and the dimension

and for this card I've used Simon Says Stamp Gnome Peeking.

I stamped the trees and die cut those with the stamps and dies from the

SSS set and used one of my #inktober watercolor backgrounds.

No snow in Florida so I loved creating this shaker version!

And that's it for this one today :)

Thanks for stopping!

Guest Designer - Tutorial: Wall Tile Background!

Hi everyone!

Today I have the privilege of being a Tutorial Guest Designer

at Splitcoaststampers with a technique that I call

Wall Tile Background!

I literally stumbled upon this idea by accident playing around

with my removeable wall tile decor.

I looked at all the hills and valleys and thought hmmmm...

that looks like a fun faux embossing folder!

The tile lended itself to be a beautiful background once

mixed with paper, water and ink!

You can see the video here on YouTube at the

Splitcoaststampers channel!

https://youtu.be/l5aPejTatZs

Here is the finished  look if you want to skip ahead

to the final card :)

I started with these supplies:

This was actually quite easy and not quite as messy as it may seem,

although you know I love my messy art :)

Why this technique?

1. It was fun!  WAY fun!

2. It's cost effective - it was one whole dollar :)  Yep ... $1!

3. It's an alternative to an embossing folder ...

4. did I mention fun?

5. You never get the same look twice!

Each and every background, every time, will be unique!

Head on over to Splitcoaststampers

Tutorial section for more step by step instructions,

photos and the video!

24 Hour Blueprints ~ Take 2!

Hi friends!

Today's post is for the 24 Hour Blueprints ... Take #2!

You can read here how it all began

and what on earth it means! :)

The telegram version is a hostess comes up with a couple of sketches

and specs for cards ~ emails the other players

and we have 24 hours ONLY to look the sketches and make them!

It's haaaaaaaaaaaarder than it looks!

Our hostess this month is Barb and here are her 3 sketches:

*sketches qre unkown source - if this is your sketch or you know who to credit, please drop me a comment!

These were provided to me to work with.

 No ©  intended!

The instructions were use these sketches, a Christmas theme,

and the colors red, green, purple and silver.

Now I have 3 holiday cards done and ready for Christmas 2021!

Thank you, Barb!

For all 3 of my cards, I decided to use the same stamp set,

as I did last round of the 24 Hour Blueprints.

The stamp set I chose is the Snow Bunnies from Lawn Fawn and

Simon Says Stamp collaboration <3

And I may have snuck in some pinkish-purply stripes -

pretend you dont see it! :/~

 Card #1

Card #2

Card #3

And all 3 together .........

This is hard!

We are to get the card sketches and instructions at 7 am

the day before and we only get 24 hours to create and post.

You can see Barb's cards here and Jeanette's cards here.

It takes me forever in a month of Sundays to make ONE card,

let alone 3 AND get 'er done in 24 hours!

Yeeeeeeeesh.

But I did it, which is good considering I got these ladies into this!

LOL!

Thanks for stopping by today!

RSG ~ Golden Anniversary

Hi friends!

I'm still playing catch up on my cards as my month of June

confused itself with July

and just sort of popped like a firecracker! :)

This is my card that I created for the Ready, Set, Go challenge

but wasn't home to create it on the day it was due.

Jeanette is the hostess and her challenge represents our 50th card,

hence, the title Golden Anniversary.

This is her challenge and then I'll explain my card :)

Because there are three of us, my challenge called for using three of something on our cards –   three colors, three layers, three designer papers, three whatever.

The cards were also to include something on  that starts with the first letter of each of our names – so something that starts with a K, something that starts with a B and something that starts with a J.
Oh, and one more thing… because this is our Golden Anniversary,
I wanted to see some GOLD on our cards.

First, here is my card:

I've been enjoying sharing cards for the #lovewins Instagam hop

and I've been finding creative ways to encorporate the theme

into most of my cards this month - like this one.

For my 3's, I used 3 heat embossed words and layers to the card.

For the letter B = black cardstock, my base layer of this card.

J = jewel tones colors of the glitter cardstock and

thank you to my daughter, Victoria, who said

"Your card looks like a kaleidoscope of color!"

And there you have it ... K = kaleidoscope.

Finally, for the touch of gold, I substituted gold for yellow in the rainbow.

You can see Barb's card here

and Jeanette's card here - posted on the day they were due :)

Meanwhile ...... me

Here's a final look

and details over on my Instagram!

"Love one another" ~ It's really simple :)

Skating around the tree!

Hello friends!

I'd love to be in this scene ~

a quaint little town, skating on the ice pond

with the twinkly Christmas tree ~ and snow! :)

What a happy scene that would be!

My card is for the Challenge Your Stash (CYS) card group

and the theme this month:  a tree!

I fell head over heels in love with this set from

Clearly Besotted Stamptember at Simon Says Stamp

and it has taken me until this challege to ink it up!

I was so lucky to get both the stamps and dies with this set ~

they sell so quickly and I stalked the SSS each day.

To create this, I stamped and die cut and then colored these cuties!

I also stamped out the circular scene and added glitter for the snow,

coloring it and adding a bright green Christmas tree in the town centre.

Finally,  I added this sentiment because I always wish for snow,

 most of all :)

We're almost in 2021!

It almost seems surreal ~

2020 went by in a blur and now here we are :)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Big hugs, bigger blessings :)

Merry Christmas!

 Hello beautiful friends!

Wishing you the Merriest Christmas, from my home and heart to yours!

I am SO VERY blessed to know so many of you through blogging

and wish you all the wonderful things for 2021!

Christmas has a fun, whimsical tone in our house.

We chose a theme each year and 2020 was "The North Pole,"

so naturally my card for a special guy in my life was a fun one!

I fell IN LOVE with this gnome in a truck stamp set

from Simon Says Stamp and just knew when I saw it - that's the one!

I colored it with prismacolor markers and added it to a fun background.

I wasn't able to get the dies so there was a hole lot of fussy cutting!

Stay safe out there friends while

visiting with your loved ones and sharing this holiday together.

Big hugs, bigger blessings :)

Grateful for you!

Happy Monday!

In this time of uncertainty,

I have much to be thankful for :)

Today's card is the simplicity that I love so much!

A simple watercoloring, a beautiful sentiment, a unique die and done!

My card is one of the many I'm making for Splitcoaststampers Falliday ~

a celebration of card designs and techniques!

I'm excited to be one of the hostesses, too ~

and my challenge is coming up this week!

Yay!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Big hugs, bigger blessings :)
