CCEE ~ Use those stencils!

 Hi friends!

And much like this unicorn,
I'm absolutely on cloud 9 to be on vacation :)

There's a new challenge from our hostess Vicki
at the CCEE Stampers blog: Stencils!

 It's so funny,
I was just talking to a dear friend about using stencils
the other day and how they are quite popular right now.
For me, they are my most under used stamping tool!

I do have quite a few -
yet never really seem to use them that much!

My card is using Picket Fence Studios darling unicorn - For You.
The stencil is geometric grid from MFT
and I've used the amazing Distress Oxide Inks from Ranger.
The sentiment is from a different stamp set as I needed
a small font so I used my Hello Bluebird sentiment stamp.

Be sure to stop by the CCEE Stampers
and see what the DT has made using the stencil theme!

There is also a linky where you can add your cards, too!

Thanks for stopping by!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

CCEE1727 ~ Masks

Hi friends!

It's time for a new challenge at the CCEE Stampers ~ Masks!
Our hostess, Maryann, asked us to:
Create a card using a mask, whether it is using a masking technique
of a stamped image of a mask.

Since I don't own any mask stamps, I went the technique route :)
I needed to create a thank you card for a family
that recently invited my fun and crazy bunch over for dinner.
One comment we get often is "you guys sure are a fun bunch!"
So, naturally, I had to create a "fun" card *grin!*

The wonderful thing I love about the CCEE Stampers
is that we use our own stamps, any one from our stash.
It gets me inking them up again or for the first time.

Today's card is a combo of both:
one old, one new and both from Gerda Steiner Designs.
I used Llama tell you and How are Ewe?
To create this card, I stamped the larger ewe, then masked her off,
and stamped the smaller lamb behind her.
Same thing for the llama, masked off behind the larger one.
And the little birdie is just hanging out :)
I added faux grass by using Pink and Main dies,
stamped a quick sentiment and added enamel dots for grass divets.

You can see what all the designers have made using masks
by clicking the CCEE blog link or on their blogs.
Thank EWE for stopping by today :)

Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

You're an Angel!

Blessings on this beautiful SON-day!

It's to believe Winter Break is over here and the kids will be
venturing back to school tomorrow, sniff sniff!

 I have a quick post today~
this card is one of two I made with this same image.
I had some leftover images and
a whole lot of thank you cards that needed to be made.
I was playing around with papers and colors
and image matching ~
like playing Barbies, but with paper! :)
This card was VERY hard to photograph for some reason ~
either the image would be washed out or the background paper would,
including  the small amount of Wink of Stella I added to the halo and wings.
IRL, it looks much nicer! :)
We're off to the park to bike and picnic ~
I hope your day is equally blessed!

 This is card #4 (and 5) in the 100 x 100 challenge - woot!

Card entered into:  Allsorts Challenge ~ Anything Goes
LovesRubberStamps Challenge ~ New Year's Resolution (be kind, pass on goodness)
Musically Challenged ~ Movie Soundtrack (Phantom of the Opera - Angel of Music)
My time to Craft - Music/Movie Inspired (Phantom - Angel of Music)
One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes

Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!
