Hi friends!
It's time for a new challenge at the CCEE Stampers ~ Masks!
Our hostess, Maryann, asked us to:
Create
a card using a mask, whether it is using a masking technique
of a stamped
image of a mask.
Since I don't own any mask stamps, I went the technique route :)
I needed to create a thank you card for a family
that recently invited my fun and crazy bunch over for dinner.
One comment we get often is "you guys sure are a fun bunch!"
So, naturally, I had to create a "fun" card *grin!*
The wonderful thing I love about the CCEE Stampers
is that we use our own stamps, any one from our stash.
It gets me inking them up again or for the first time.
Today's card is a combo of both:
one old, one new and both from Gerda Steiner Designs.
I used Llama tell you and How are Ewe?
To create this card, I stamped the larger ewe, then masked her off,
and stamped the smaller lamb behind her.
Same thing for the llama, masked off behind the larger one.
And the little birdie is just hanging out :)
I added faux grass by using Pink and Main dies,
stamped a quick sentiment and added enamel dots for grass divets.
You can see what all the designers have made using masks
by clicking the CCEE blog link or on their blogs.
Thank EWE for stopping by today :)
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

ReplyDeleteWhat adorable images ... such a fun card! VICKY
ReplyDeleteThis card is so cute! You did a fab job masking the two llamas.......the family will appreciate the fun thank you when you send it!!
ReplyDeleteOops.....and sheep too!
ReplyDeleteGreat job of masking your llama and sheep. "Ewe" made a really cute card!
ReplyDeleteKeely, how good it is that you have rejoined our CCEE group. It's all about fun, and your cards are always delightful. Great job of masking all these animals. The hardest part about masking doewn't really show up on the finished product, and that is that fussy cut one made to cover the others so you can layer them properly. You did a super fine job.
ReplyDeleteOops, sorry for the typo in Kelly!!!
DeleteThis is just the sweetest little scene......a perfect ty card for a fun time
ReplyDeleteby the way....I read what you said about using your own stamps....I totally agree....I've been on a few company DT's and I loved them, but sometimes was creating with stamps I would never use in real life....now I just belong to two challenge DT's and my stamp collection gets lots of use....so glad you joined us and are having fun using 'your own' stamps
Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love this card Kelly. It's both happy and very cute. I think masking stamps is a super technique and we don't use it often enough. Barbxx
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute card and cute expressions. I'm sure they will love receiving this!
ReplyDeleteThe expression on the face of Llama at the front is priceless!! A fantastic fun card and a brilliant scene you have created. I have a lot of stamps that have never seen ink! I have promised myself to use some on a regular basis. Don't know how long that will last!! Big hugs, Carol S.xx
