How do you catch a unique parrot?

Unique up on him!
Hee hee!

Hi friends!
and happy Fri-YAY!

 Today's card is celebrating friendships!

One thing I adore in card making is combining stamp sets
to create a whole new look.
One night - WAY WAY late into the night! -
I was looking at these stamp sets on the desk laying side by side.
They landed there by happenstance,
and I tilted my head to one side,
then tilted it to the other ...
and a-hah, an idea! ♥

I've used two stamp sets from Heffy DoodleWingman and mewniverse.
The white panel with the stamped images is propped up on foam,
giving it an 'off the shoulder' look.
I let that be uncolored to give a more pronounced looked
to the other side with bold, vivid colors.
A stamped sentiment and some enamel dots completes this card ♥

I hope your weekend is filled with wonderful things and crafty moments!
Thanks for stopping by :)

Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

CCEE1743 ~ All about Cats!

Hi friends!

This is Frances' last week as hostess for the CCEE Stampers this month.
Tomorrow is Black Cat Day (10/27) and Sunday is Cat Day (10/29)
She challenged us this week to include a cat on our cards -- black or not :)

 Fun fact!
Cats are the most popular pets in the US ~
There are 88 million pet cats (and only 74 million pet dogs)...
I was so sure dogs were #1  ~ surprise!
A group of cats is called a clowder.
And while black cats are thought of as bad luck in the US,
they are considered to be good luck in the United Kingdom and Australia ♥
Meow!
I was so excited to ink up a cat stamp that I've had for awhile
that I skipped right over all of my Halloween cat stamps!
I used the Penny Black coloring guide to color these two kitties,
and used my blender pen to 'wipe off' some of the color
 for a faux watercolor look.
The card was a little busy (and big!) with the image and sentiment
so I gave it a simple gingham background and wooden dots.

Please be sure to stop in over at the CCEE Stampers blog
and see the wonderful cat cards!
And if you link up a card to a gallery for this theme,
use the keyword  CCEE1743.
We hope you can play along!

Thanks for stopping by!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

Mondays with The Project Bin ~ get messy!

Hi friends!

It's officially the LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL :)
The best part of summer for me ... having my "babies" near ♥
And not driving to and from and from and to
 all.  day.  long.
will be nice, too :)

Since it's Monday, Kelly² posts cards for The Project Bin
on the TPB Inspiration blog!
What did I make for you with The Project Bin stamps today?

A mess!
That's what I made!
A big 'ol fun, gooey mess :)

This shaving cream technique is one that I have done a few times before,
and it's always great fun.
It's like finger painting - for moms!
The only thing I did different with this 'faux marble" shaving cream techique
is instead of using my reinkers, I used 'ol fashioned food coloring.
Like from Betty Crocker :)
The colors are amazingly vivid and striking!

I used the stamp/die set Feline Good ~ such an irresistible set ♥

I stamped the different cats onto designer paper,
then ran them through my Cuttlebug with the coordinating dies.
I propped them onto the brightly colored background with 3D foam.
This card is matted with black card stock, almost unheard of with my cards,
but it was just the perfect color for the contrasting 'busy' colors.
The banner was the last stamped touch, right onto the dsp.
Since it was so busy, I added a few matching enamel dots and that's it!

You can see more cards with this stamp/die set in the DT gallery.
There are so many different sentiments in the set,
your cards will turn out PURR-fect!
You can find this stamp/die set as well as many others in the shop!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

Mondays with TPB - 9 Lives ♥

Hi friends!

Happy Meow-nday!
This weekend went by in a blur for me,
especially since I spent most of Sunday after church in bed :(

Unfortunately, I'm not feline so good!
While I don't have all the symptoms of that flu bug going around,
the severe body aches, lethargy and nausea kept me almost still ;)

My card today is using the new Feline Good stamp and die set
Mondays are the day that Kelly² (that's two Kellys!)
post to the inspiration blog at The Project Bin stamps.

For all the kitty lovers out in crafty land,
here's a super cute fluffy cat!
This.  sentiment.

I stamped out the image onto dsp, then ran it through my cuttlebug
with the matching die.  The sentiment is also from the stamp set ~
one of the many fabulous kitty sayings :)
And the inside, left blank -
because this card goes to my purr-fect other half!

And that's it for today's The Project Bin card.
Thanks so much for stopping by ♥

I love you!

I do - I love you, friends!
Thank you for chuckling along with me and our camping adventures!
But, it's nice to be home and crafting again - that's for sure!
This was an incredible productive weekend at my little craft kiosk ....
I managed to make 8 cards - woohoo!

Today's card is from the progressive challenge at From the Heart Stamps,
 a delightful digital stamp company
with some of the cutest lil digis you'll ever see ♥
I've been playing along with their monthly progressive challenge since last year
(and even before that)
and just love the stamps you receive each month.
I was too busy to play along in December,
and as you can see by the late date, almost missed January! :/

Aside from being adorable, the image was very versatile, too ~
could be Christmas, or just winter, or and adorable love card
based on the sentiments generously supplied with the digi.
I went with the latter - LOVE!

Here's my card submission, inside and out:

This color combination is one of my all time favorites -
from the day I put Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette and Real Red together
one year making Christmas cards ♥

Thanks for stopping by ~
I hope your weekend was marvelous!

Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!
