3M: We're like a small gang!

Happy .......... Tuesday!

Oh I was a mess this morning ~
doing all the "Monday" things
and not remembering that it's ..... Tuesday!
  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Whenever there is a day off,
it throws me off schedule.
 Speaking of off schedule
I'm finally getting my January 3M card posted!
Truth be told, it's been done ...
But due to new stamp releases, DT work, a lost then found moment, etc,
it took a small hiatus.
So ... here we are!

In case you are a new reader of my blog,
the 3Musketeers is Jeanette, Barb and myself ~
fast and forever friends that met in a crafty group on splitcoaststampers!
The 3M is a group that Jeanette thought up and invited me to join
and I'm so grateful for that!
We take turns sending a stamped image and we all have to create cards
with our own supplies based on the image sent.
For Jeanette's month, this is the image she sent:
Stampinbella's The Stuffie Gang.
She asked us to create a card with the image and matching sentiment,
which I've added to the inside of my card.
The image is a bit large for a standard A2 size card.
I overestimated how much 'white space' I left on the card
so I added a little more grass with some markers and blender pens
and a good 'ol Sharpie point marker.
You can see what Jeanette's looks like and Barb's looks like
because, after all, we're like a really small gang! :)
Thanks for stopping by today!

Big hugs, bigger blessings ♥

Mondays with The Project Bin ~ Nat'l Love Your Pet Day!

Hi friends!

Yay!  It's Monday!
That's the day I post on the inspiration blog at The Project Bin stamps
It's also a holiday and if you were lucky enough to score the day off of work, woohoo!

In addition to today being President's Day, today is also
National Love Your Pet Day!

How.  sweet.  is.  that!

We love, love, LOVE our pets here in our home!
We have two high maintenance fun and crazy doggies
that keep me on my toes ~ literally!
(and a bunny and an amazon macaw) ♥

Today's card is using three different stamp sets,
all on one card!

I've used the dog stamp and die cut from Kinda Pawsome,
stamped directly onto the designer paper,
followed by the kitty and die from Feline Good.
I cut a circular pattern in the cardstock
and placed a peice of Puppy Love dsp by Doodlebug behind it.
Lastly, the sentiment is from the In My heart set
and the bubble die is from Riley and Company stamps.

Here's a closer look at the sentiment:

You can find all three of the stamp/die sets used on this card
here in The Project Bin's store!

I hope you get lots of hugs and slurps from your pets today ♥

As for me, now that I'm better and back up and walking,
mine will have me sprinting around the block! LOL!

Before I go - take a peek at The Project Bin's sale!
The One Year Anniversary Sale on February 23rd!

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

DDD: You're Unforgettable ♥

Hi friends!

I'm a few days late with my Dueling Darlings post
as the flu invaded my house!
In the 23 years we've lived here,
I think this is the worst we've ever experienced :(
Not only did we spend Valentine's Day alternatively sick,
but I spent the next few days running from room to room,
tending to all the infirmed.
I kept waving the white flag of surrender,
but the flu was winning, hand's down!
Today's card is from a card kit sent to the Divas from our hostess, Suzy!
The Dazzlers hostess this month was Deb,
and they chose a theme of Valentines ♥

This is the card I made using the card kit:

The inside is a bit plain ~
added the hearts from the kit as the sentiment is already on the front :)

What I love so much about the DDD card kit duel
is how we take the same image, same papers and embellishments,
and create such uniquely different kits!
While my amazingly talented DDD Divas and Dazzlers
have created gorgeous kits, too ~
you can find their cards by peeking at the SCS gallery or thread
(until I add my links and sidebar notes back on) :)

Thank you for those that prayed for our family during flu-ageddon!
It means the world to us
and it's good to be standing back on our feet again.

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

Riley and Company - May your troubles .....

Happy Valentine's Day, friends!!

Wishing you a day filled with love and friendship ~
both of which I share with you today ♥

It's also the day Riley and Company has their weekly Card Bonanza -
some cards showcasing stamps in the store and some cards showcasing new stamps.
I chose to do the later and am bringing you another watercolor based card

Be sure to stop on over to the Riley and Company blog and see all the wonderful
card inspirations that the DT has to see!

I wish you blessings on this day of love
and hope whatever it is you have planned, it includes smiles and hugs!
And maybe some chocolates, too ♥

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

Mondays with The Project Bin ~ Everybody ♥

Hi friends!

I LOVE Mondays!
It's the day that I post on the inspiration blog
for Kelly² Monday! :)

Today's card is using the Everybody stamp from the Bazinga stamp set.
This saying is so sweet,
and a great reminder in this uncertain time in our country.
Most days, I just don't even look at the news or social media.

 Andy Warhol stated it wonderfully:
"I think
everybody
should like
  everybody."

Love. that. saying!

Tomorrow is a day we show our love and affection and friendship.
But you can start today :)
Wherever you might be,
whomever you are with, and
whatever you might be doing ....
do it with kindness!

Love everybody ♥

Here is my card today

Denise, the owner and designer of The Project Bin stamps,
has a wonderful knack for creating stamps using inspirational quotes,
like this one!

Stop by the store to see this stamp set and more.
If you click on the stamp set, it will take you to a gallery where you can see what the stamp set looks like on different card styles and inspirations!
You can also find us on Pinterest, Facebook and IG.

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

Go fly a kite! ♥

YAY - it's Friday!

We made it through the week, friends!
For us, the weekend is as massively crazy busy as this week has been ~
but sometimes weekends are like that :)

Wednesday was National Kite Day ♥

I just smiled when I heard that as it brings back wonderfully happy memories.
My dad would make homemade kites with my brother and I
out of tree branches that had fallen in our yard
and sheets of newspaper and twine.
We'd clap and squeal and get so excited to see them lift off the ground.
In hindsight, I'm sure they didn't really fly that well but in my head,
I remember them reaching the moon!

Here is the inside - plain but ready for the message :)

The next time I use this stamp, I think I'll make Charlie Brown's
kite out of newsprint, too :)
I'm going to send it to my brother - now in Germany -
and see if he picks up the kite flying adventure memories, too ;)

Wishing you a fabulous weekend,
whatever it is you are out there doing!

Big hugs, bigger blessings

3 Musketeers - It's Cupig! ♥

Good Morning, friends!

It's almost Valentine's Day,
and Cupig here is already ready with his bow and arrow ♥
And that's not a typo!
it's Cupig, the pig who's playing cupid!
My card today features this adorable image
and it's this month's feature image for the 3M (3 Musketeers).
3M = Jeanette (group creator), Barb and I ...
taking turns each month sending out a stamped image
and creating a card from supplies in our own stash.
Barb is our hostess this month
and she is THE QUEEN of Whipper Snapper stamps!
She has an extensive collection of these cuties
and I lovingly call them her 'signature' stamp :)
Always fun to color one up!
 Here's my take:

My card is pretty simple  ~
pink card stock and pieces of dsp that were in a scrap basket.
I've colored Cupig with my prismacolor markers,
added some glitter to his wings and this was finished √
I will have to re-photograph this later today ~
my memory card stopped working - retiring itself :(
I'm currently using my iphone for pictures and eh - not too groovy!
But you can hop over to Jeanette and Barb's blogs
to see what they made with this identical image!
And guess what's coming up soon:  January's 3M!
 (what?  After February?)
Yes! ♥

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

Crafters of Faith ~ Reverence!

Good Morning, friends :)

This is my year to Abide (you can read my WOTY post here!)  -
a word that chose me, rather than me choosing the word,
literally as I sat daydreaming in church!
  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Part of my extension of worship is to live a year fully immersed
in a better christian walk.
And part of the immersion included the rebirth of the
Crafters of Faith group on Splitcoaststampers!
This month, our hostess is Barb and she gave us
this scripture and challenge to work with:

Do Everything in Love from 1 Corinthians, 16:14.
This does not need to be a Valentine card, so you can make a card or a tag or anything else for any occasion, with Love!

I took her up on that suggestion and did indeed make a card of love!
Not that traditional card of love with hearts and flowers and everything red :)

My card reflects the love of a boy who is my son ♥
My son is an amazing child of faith, putting God first
in so many of his actions and ways.
(like how he prays for his friends with them and
saying grace before meals - including at his public school).
He's also a Boy Scout who absolutely LOVES his leaders and troop mates!
This past Sunday was "Scout Sunday"
and the rows of Boy Scouts in full uniform decorated the church!
I was feeling so sick, but it was a sight to behold ♥

 Inside of my card:

This mama's heart was not only proud of her boy, but all of them :)
I made a card for him that was waiting on his bed when he went to change.
His reaction was so sweet -
he said "Oh hey!  That's me!" :)
Love.  This.  Boy.  So.  Much! ♥

So 1 Corinthians 16:14 for me ...
do everything with love.
I love my children so very very much
and they know this so very very much ♥

So glad you could visit today!
You can find our faith group on Splitcoaststampers if you'd like to find us!
Just type in the keyboard in the groups: Crafters of Faith

As always,
Big hugs, bigger blessings!

Mondays with TPB - 9 Lives ♥

Hi friends!

Happy Meow-nday!
This weekend went by in a blur for me,
especially since I spent most of Sunday after church in bed :(

Unfortunately, I'm not feline so good!
While I don't have all the symptoms of that flu bug going around,
the severe body aches, lethargy and nausea kept me almost still ;)

My card today is using the new Feline Good stamp and die set
Mondays are the day that Kelly² (that's two Kellys!)
post to the inspiration blog at The Project Bin stamps.

For all the kitty lovers out in crafty land,
here's a super cute fluffy cat!
This.  sentiment.

I stamped out the image onto dsp, then ran it through my cuttlebug
with the matching die.  The sentiment is also from the stamp set ~
one of the many fabulous kitty sayings :)
And the inside, left blank -
because this card goes to my purr-fect other half!

And that's it for today's The Project Bin card.
Thanks so much for stopping by ♥

stamp/die set by clicking the link.

I've been .......... kissing! ♥

Hi friends!

Isn't it fun to have a month like February ~
everything hearts and flowers and signs of love in the air ♥
Even though Christmas cards are still my very, VERY favorite,
Valentine's cards are close to my heart, too.

My kids are older now  ...
having a pre-teen son and very young adult daughters,
they have outgrown the homemade shoeboxes with tiny slots for card exchanges,
finding the box 0f 36 + 1 for teacher in just their favorite characters.
Now it's "can I have $10 to buy candy grams at school!"
LOL!

I'm still working on my Valentines for family and friends,
so it's a good thing Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps just had a new stamp release.
I am already half way there :)

Continuing on with trying different techniques this year,
I made today's card by kissing!
*blushing*
My card's ink, that is!

Kissing is a popular technique in stamping, the simple pairing together
of inks onto the same ink blog and then pressed into the cardstock.
For today's card, I paired momento drew drops
in rose bud, lady bug red, and angel pink.
Since this image is beautifully detailed with scrolling vines, I left it uncolored and let the busy-ness of the rest of the card play in.

And that's it for this card!
Thanks for stopping by today :)

Big hugs, bigger blessings!

Mondays with The Project Bin ~ Pawsome!

Hello, friends!

Another weekend zipped on by and here we are, Monday again.
We watched our normal hot and sunny South Florida get very chilly (49°)
and yesterday the rain fell all day long.
I confess .... I loved it :)
 I miss being in Europe,
I miss the real winters,
and I long for snow and a winter wonderland ♥

Monday is the day I also post on The Project Bin blog.
I created a card using the brand new stamp and die set,
I am so in love with this set!
I literally squealed when it arrived and I opened the mail ♥

In our home, we have two fabulous doggies
whom I lovingly call my two furry children!
They are as high maintenance as they are entertaining,
and the best love in the world is seeing the tail wagging from happiness :)
My middle daughter works for an animal rescue organization
and has a special fondness for dogs of all kinds and sizes,
including one of our own, rescued 5 years ago from the streets of Miami.
We are blessed he is part of our home
and we love him as unconditionally as he loves us!

So here is the card I made with her in mind:

And the inside of my card:

This is a stamp/die set that I will be using over and over again!
The ideas are already swirling
and I'm giddy at thinking of creating them ♥
You can find this stamp set at The Project Bin store,
as well as see other card samples by the DT as inspiration.
I'll enter this into SSS Monday Challenge - Pets

Thanks for stopping by!
Big hugs, bigger blessings!

Challenge Your Stash - Winter Racoon :)

Hello, friends!

Bit of a chill here in South Florida - and I couldn't be happier!!
It was 53° this morning when I was walking the pups - gorgeous! ♥

My friend Barb started a new challenge group this year,
Challenge Your Stash (CYS)
and it's a year long challenge for us to dig into our stash!
We use elements for cardmaking that haven't been used in a long time.
Such a terrific idea.
She also happens to be the first hostess of this monthly group,
which means she choses the challenge for us ~
this month, black, white and silver.

For my card, I used a racoon stamp from The Alley Way Stamps
(no longer open, and boy was I sad when they closed down!!)
as well as several sentiments from other TAWS stamps sets.
And here's what I created -
a silver fox with the snow flakes falling behind him,
nestled into a silver frame.
Challenge - √

For the inside, I continued the theme and left the racoon image uncolored,
a trick I learned from my former design team mate, Francis.

I still have the boy's sleepover going on here this morning,
and it's so much different from when the girls' sleepovers took place!
We are hoping to enjoy the brisk, cooler temps outside today
and hope it stays for the weekend ♥

Big hugs, bigger blessings!
~Kelly
